  1. I created a round image using custom CSS (which I've done quite a few times before), but there is a gray square where the outline of the image would be if it weren't round. I would attach an image but it will not upload... Lovely. I've tried getting rid of it with CSS but can't seem to do so. Any thoughts?
  2. Hello Everyone I would like to know if there is a method or any way to add text for a single picture in WEXLEY template. WEXLEY template has one page with all images like in the image I attached. Then you can click on a single image and look the single one solo. Anyone knows if I can add a text somewhere for a single image ? (I attached another example). I really hope to get some good answer here.Looking forward to hear from you Thanks in advance to all of you.Best, x William
  3. Hello, I would like to customise the design of the newsletter form in the template Lange. The text font is set to match Heading 2, and I would like to be able to change this. Ideally, I would like to alter the body / heading font, button font and input font (for the email details). I believe I would need customs code for this, as the options available in the Site Style Editor don’t enable me to change very much. Does anyone know how I might go about this? I would be endlessly grateful for any advice, Thank you, Fleur
  4. Hi Squarespace family, I'm trying to turn the link 'Account' in my nav into a clickable image of a normal 'my account' type symbol of a person. Here is the site: http://etch.london Here is the code I have so far which shows in the Nav but it is not clickable, can anyone shed any light? nav li:nth-child(6) { display: block; width: 100px; height: 1000px; background-image: url('https://i.imgur.com/qttVodm.png'); background-repeat: no-repeat; text-indent: -9999px; overflow: hidden; } Thanks
  5. Right now I am trying to recreate an old blog. However I am running into a lot of design problems. First of all it seems like on blog pages you cannot add blocks like you can on normal pages... you can only add posts, Before all the posts i wanted there to be a main paragraph... Not only that, I am not finding any way to edit the style of the posts on the blog list page. For example, I wanted the title to be first, the date to be underneath. Instead of "Read More ->" as text, i wanted it to be a button. There has got to be a way to do something as simple as this?! If i want these little style details am I going to have to make my blog list page as a normal page, and just link to each blog post page manually? Can I make these changes via custom CSS? Any input or advice would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance.
  6. Trying to add a message box like the one Squarespace uses in many of their doc pages. See the attached image. How can I do that? I'm searching elsewhere too, but am in a big hurry so wanted to ask here, also. Thanks!
  7. I'm trying to find a way to make my product appear on screen whenever different options are selected. Similar to how you can select different options while building a new car online and the selected options will show up on screen. Hope that makes sense. If anyone can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it. Thanks.
  8. I'm using the Ishimoto template. Having a hard time figuring out how I can change my site title font, i've gone through multiple threads on this forum and have been unsuccessful in finding a solution to the problem. The website is live but has a cover page right now for the under construction phase as i work to get it the way i want. The code i was trying to use was @font-face { font-family: 'GeosansLight'; src: url('https://static1.squarespace.com/static/5a8c34eb51a584a57bc62511/t/5a93aadff9619a83af6f6839/1519626975231/GeosansLight.ttf '); font-weight: normal; font-style: normal; } .has-site-title .Header-branding { font-family: "GeosansLight"; }
  9. My store checkout page shows Apple Pay as a huge default button, with the tiny copy below reading 'Or checkout with credit card or PayPal. As most of my customers are using credit card I would like to flip the hierarchy here, or at least make it equal. Ideally I would replace the apple logo with a security padlock icon and have that go through to all payment input boxes
  10. Hi Squarespace, Is it possible to build a website where users can create a profile (with different functionalities) to offer a specific service to others and other users can search them on this website by point of distance? With kind regards ;)
  11. So i made an index type page using the app, and now that i want to continue making changes etc. on desktop, none of the edit buttons are appearing. They are appearing on other pages, however, just not this particular page. Do you have to only use the app to edit pages created by the app??
  12. Can anyone point me in the right direction for changing the layout of products on my homepage? My now estranged web designer set the style and just used summary blocks. This is no good for the website as I have lots of product pages and will be adding more (thousands of products to add). Summary blocks only allow products from one. What I need is rows across the screen of product from various product pages.I tried just using add Product. It is really hard to get them to sit side by side in a row and it destroy the other elements on the page, some of which need to be kept - all the content gets squashed to the side. I am not a web designer so figuring things out as I go.
  13. I am currently using the HYDE template and all the other recommended CSS solutions given are not compatible with my template: https://www.houseofink.studio/shop-onlineIs there another possible css code injection I could use. Additionally, I have been able to get the pixel border to work on other pages: https://www.houseofink.studio/tattoo-studio
  14. I've found older answers to this question, but the solutions provided are outdated and the features explained aren't there anymore. https://www.maiatraj.com/ I'm using the Jasper template.
  15. It was supposed to be easy on Squarespace... So, how do I change the background image on the main page? This is a basic thing... Or so I thought.
  16. I've got a very strange issue. I'm trying to create a large page with hundreds of code blocks, and for some reason, the code blocks are narrowing as the page scrolls down. Eventually, the page gets so narrow that the content becomes unreadable. I am using site-wide custom CSS as well as page-specific header injection, which I thought could be the culprit, but I tried removing both and the problem persists. Weirdly, when the site is in Edit Mode, everything displays exactly as it should. I know Squarespace advises against using more than 60 blocks in a page to avoid loading issues, but I thought I'd proceed anyway since I'm not particularly concerned about load times. That said, perhaps the number of blocks is somehow creating the issue? I'd be infinitely grateful for any insight or help, as I'm a novice web designer at best - and even that's pretty generous. ;) Thanks for reading!
  17. The website is based on the Rally template. I want the entire header section - main menu, logo, social icons, etc. - to be on top of any page's topmost banner. I. e. not to be above the banner (like a white stripe that has the main menu and logo) but layered over the banner itself, without any additional background. I've done this before (here https://part-time.bg/) with another website that has the same template but can't find a way to do it now. I'm sure there's some hidden option... I don't mean code - I can't code - I mean a simple, existing option that I can't effing find now.
  18. Hi! I'm trying to change the styling of the drop down for the different sizes. Is anyone able to help with this? https://www.weareleim.com/shop/sisterhood-ezp-jumpsuit-ivory-linen
  19. I'm having trouble backdating blog posts that's supposed to go back decades ago, 1980s onwards. I'd really rather not click the little calendar arrow in the blog editor, I'm hoping there's another way to enter the date through typing instead of the calendar thing.
  20. For some reason, I cannot add any elements to my home page. i am using the Aviator template. Is adding elements prohibited for some reason?
  21. I have a blog with theme Five and split sidebars, and it looks fine on desktop browsers: msollami.com/ideas However, on mobile the content is not always centered: On my iPad in portrait mode it is wrong: Update: After trying the code in the solution, it now looks totally wrong in portrait mode:
  22. Hi guys, I'm trying to get the mobile view of a summary block to appear differently to the desktop view, for a blog site I'm working on. In short, I want to display the summary block as a standard 'List' view on desktop, and as a standard 'Grid' view on mobile. If I go with 'List', it's perfect for desktop, but on mobile, the thumbnail is very small. If I go with 'Grid', it's perfect on mobile, but the image is very large on desktop. Is there some element of CSS you know of that will force the view depending on the device? - mobile is grid, desktop is list on attachments Thanks in advance!
  23. I'm trying to set the background color for an index page to be #AA1E2E but it keeps reverting to #a81f2f I've tried converting it to different formats such as HSL, but it keeps switching back after I enter it in the color picker and close it out. Can I not do this color? Currently I'm hardcoding it with CSS, but it is an annoying issue.
  24. I wrote code to turn the "contact" link of my website into a colored button, and it works during the editing process, but the moment I save, it removes all of the changes that I've made. Here is the code that I've used, .Header-nav.Header-nav--secondary a.Header-nav-item:last-of-type { background-color: #900020; padding: 10px 20px; border-radius: 3px; border-bottom: 1px solid #900020; color: white; } .Header-nav.Header-nav--secondary a.Header-nav-item:last-of-type:hover { background-color: #900020; } It's supposed to look like the photo I"ve enclosed, but it ends up only being white. Can someone figure out what's going on? I'm on the brine-template If you want to visit the website, its robertchinnfoundation.squarespace.org and the password is open
