  1. Site URL: https://malhotra-fine-art-gallery.com/artworklist/p/a-kings-speech squarespace 7.1 url:https://malhotra-fine-art-gallery.com/artworklist/p/a-kings-speech I have overridden the first link and need to remove the second one "A Kings Speech by Marlena Hebenstrait" because all my Titles are in the description so what I'd like to see is only "Back to the Gallery" thanks for your time. A Kings Speech by Marlena
  2. Site URL: https://falcon-fiddle-24bg.squarespace.com Hello I'm the owner of a restaurant and I created an online shop for people to be able order my food for pick up only. Is there a way for me to turn off online ordering when my shop is closed? I don't want to run into any issues of people ordering food while there is no one at the store. Below is the url and password to the private site https://falcon-fiddle-24bg.squarespace.com PW: 1234 Thanks in advance
  3. Site URL: https://www.silverlakeyoga.com/prenatal-teacher-training We have a Squarespace Business plan. We are trying to add PayPal buttons so people can pay for one of our services using PayPal. I am able to insert the HTML into Squarespace and it displays correctly but when our customers click the buttons, Squarespace auto-kills the pop-up that would allow the use of PayPal. There is nothing in the SS PayPal documentation nor the Paypal SS explaining this limitation. Is this something that we can only do on Commerce plans? Are Paypal buttons broken no matter what plan we choose? Have already spent two hours in a chat with SS Support who had no idea what the answer was. Thank you.
  4. Does anyone here know of a SS plugin that allows for automated repricing? As an example: A product is listed at full MSRP. 30 days later the product is automatically discounted a predetermined percentage for a set time period. After promotional time period, the product pricing defaults to MSRP automatically. Thanks in advance for the help.
  5. Site URL: https://indigo-paddlefish-dt7b.squarespace.com/order Product categories are arranged horizontally requiring you to swipe sideways to view them all in mobile layout. How can I stack them vertically to make them all immediately visible without swiping?
  6. With the Marquee template when you set up product categories (ex. Men's, Women's, Unisex) for an e-commerce shop, they appear at the bottom of the page right above the footer. So if you have say 50 products, the user has to scroll to the bottom to see what categories there are to filter the products. Is it possible to move this to the top of the page where it makes the most sense?
  7. Site URL: https://www.lilydwyerbeggyoga.com/ Hello! We want to redirect users to a specific landing page after a user purchases this product https://www.lilydwyerbeggyoga.com/registration/p/30-day-core-challenge-all-new-june-2022 - I can't find a way to do that from the product itself, or from the commerce section. Has anyone done anything similar?
  8. hi! i am in the process of setting up a website to sell some of my pottery. i am not an established business, just a small scale maker with a keen eye for design looking for a place to share my work and make the occasional sale. i am a bit overwhelmed looking at commerce and tax options / processes and could use your advice! i have a pay pal account, but am not sure whether my "business" is properly a business enough to upgrade to a business account. to be more specific, i'm not sure i'll be making enough profit to report come tax season, etc., so i'm a bit in over my head. does anyone have experience or advice as a small scale maker setting up your online store? what did commerce and tax set up look like for you? thanks so much. any help is welcome.
  9. Site URL: https://malhotra-fine-art-gallery.com/artworklist/p/swami-prabhupada I am on 7.1 On the product detail page in the description there is no method to change the font color. so be default the description is white. while not my first choice, I'm ok with that. but I put a link in the description and the default color is black (please see site url ) How can i change the link color to make it white or at least not so dark it can't be read.
  10. Site URL: https://www.glou.live Hi, Could you, please, advice if Squarespace has more than one variant options for digital download products? As in screenshot attached... Thanks and regards, Gerda
  11. Site URL: https://www.hookeduphawaii.com Can anyone tell me why some of my products have sku numbers and some dont? And how do I get sku numbers for all of my products?
  12. Site URL: https://www.andrewmikhael.com/services/apartment-combination-deep-dive I made product pages, they are active and so is the page they're on. Stripe is enabled. There is no add to cart button. When I click on the product a bit of code flashes at the top of the screen, says something about add to cart and visibility. But I do not know what to do from here.
  13. Site URL: https://www.jamesgrove.photography/print-store-aXmdh Hi All, I am a photographer and trying to put an online store together to sell my prints. I have figured most of it out, I am using a 7.1 template. I was wondering if I can change the size of the image that is displayed so its smaller? I am concerned if I continue to add images the overall page size will be huge reducing exposure of my images for sale. Or does the template auto scale based on the number of items of each page? Sorry I can't seem to find a specific answer to this question, Regards James
  14. Site URL: https://www.silvergroveheights.com/ Hi Everyone, I am trying to display the words "Sold Out" before clicking on the actual product. Currently "Sold Out" is only visible when you click on the product and then click on the variant drop down. Does anyone know how I can make it so that the product status shows from the products page?
  15. We use an industry-specific software to generate and send client invoices. Most invoices are paid via check but we want to give clients an electronic payment option. Before moving our website to Squarespace we used authorize.net to do this. Since our pricing is project-specific (not a per-item or per-service price) customers typed in the exact payment amount they owed to make a payment. So a client would receive an invoice for $1,000 and they would visit authorize.net via our website and type in that $1,000 amount to pay. Can we do something similar with Squarespace? It seems like the donation button works exactly in this way, but we are receiving payments, not donations.
  16. I run a business that sells and delivers locally, I switched to Shopify and this is my honest feedback on why I switched. Please note this is NOT a diss to Squarespace (SS). Please note I am a cake maker and sell and deliver locally. This feedback will prob be useful to other business owners that sell locally too. I joined Squarespace in June 2021 and paid for the top plan. I will try be direct and constructive as I can without adding fluff. First Impressions On Who To Pick Squarespace Easy to use navigation, easy to read FAQ, alot of design options. This is why I went with SS to start my local business ventures. Shopify Quite intimidating with all the options, editing a homepage was confusing at first, editing CSS was annoying, I was overwhelmed with all the options and the user interface wasn't as nice as SS. Comment As a person starting their first online store, SS was the best choice for me as I wanted to test my online store and see how it would turn out. Page Speeds SquareSpace People have warned me SS servers are slow and clunky, even though I tried SS best practice on how to minimise a page's size, it was still slow to my liking Shopify Appears way faster and has apps to even further push your pages faster by pre-loading pages when a customer hovers over a link COD (Cash on delivery) Squarespace Does not offer COD, I assume they don't offer this because there are no fees and SS can't financially support this feature. Shopify Does which can be helpful as I got a few orders which I would not with SS. Apps Squarespace Lacks apps but SS does try build the apps in their platform so users don't need apps. But still lacking. Shopify The amount of Apps Shopify has is abundant and you can pretty much find anything you want for your site and for your budget. I have multiple free apps. The downfall of this, if the company or the creators of the app shut down, you are forced to find an alternative. Too many apps can slow down your site and if the apps server is down, your site can not load. For example: I had a postcode checker app and their server crashed, my website didn't load for a good 30 seconds or more...... I decided to get rid of that app and find an alternative. Apps can get costly over time if you do need paid multiple apps. But if you do your research, you can try get free apps suited to your needs Customisation (CSS, JAVA, HTML) Squarespace Has one section of CSS which is useful and you can see your change in real time when you enter your CSS. Shopify Can be quite difficult to navigate and locate as different themes have different names for their CSS, themes, HTML and JSS. You also have to write your code, save then in another window, wait a few seconds then refresh to see if it actually works. This is quite annoying. Also you have to duplicate your theme and make sure you don't break your site (which is fine, but fiddly) New Pages Squarespace Squarespace is very easy to add new pages and edit. Very easy and pleasing experience. Shopify Has the worst process in making new pages (such as a FAQ page or a contact us page), I had to install an app to make new pages and I am afraid if that app shutsdown, I will have to start from scratch from another app. Discounts Squarespace Customers can stack product and delivery discounts! Which is amazing.... Shopify Can NOT have customers stack discounts. It's only 1 discount at a time. Additionally, only 1 automatic discount can be running which is annoying. I cannot have a free delivery automatic discount, paired with buy 2 get one at 50% off discount...... you will need to install an app and from research, all stackable discount apps you have to pay...... Design Squarespace One of the best design platforms I have used, its easy and has alot of features to really make a dynamic, creative website Shopify Technically bound to the theme you have chosen. There are free themes, but they are really basic in terms of design. You have to pay alot of money for a unique theme and even then, it limits you. You either have to install an app or get a designer to help you which cost even more money. Local Delivery Squarespace Does not have a local delivery options to certain zip/postcodes and can not offer different rates based on distance. Shopify Has inbuilt local delivery where you can set rates to different areas, furthermore there are plenty of apps that enhances this feature even more! Price Squarespace I paid $624AUD for the top, advance commerce yearly plan with no additional adds such as the e-marketing addon Shopify I paid $470AUD for the basic yearly plan + $318AUD for adds I need, totally to $788AUD per year. Different $164AUD more than SS. Community Squarespace Quite small which is expected and its a shame the admins or staff do NOT monitor the forums which addresses alot of SS issues. Some forum posts can't be answered because there's only a small number of people that know the answer. Shopify The community is large and when I post of the forums, I get an answer within hours with a fix, though I had more difficult questions some people can't answer but I look elsewhere such as reddit or google. Overall Thoughts Squarespace I think SS is a good platform for people to show off their portfolios, digital products, services and products very minimal variants such as maybe electronics, non-custom jewellery, soaps, lotions etc...... As I bake cakes, I need customers to have full control of customisation and SS really lacks a user friendly interface for this. I had alot of workarounds and agreements a customer should tick. With Shopify, they dont need to tick an agreement because the interface was straight forward. SS to me is like a gated community where SS tries to control the user (you, the business owner) in their way of thinking, doing and seeing. You can confined by SS rules and design and there's no room to think outside the box. Shopify Vastly caters to e-commerce business owners, alot of apps, customisation and help when needed. It's quite open source where a user can see help and implement their ideas. Businesses that sell locally and businesses that has products that can be fully customisable as there are apps to further expand on your products should use Shopify not SS as it offers COD and local delivery options. If you guys like to see the difference between my SS and Shopify stores, here it is, I linked a cake product and you can go through the buying process on both and you can be the judge on which has the better buying process for a customer: Enter Postcode 2000 which is part of the buying process Squarespace: https://onyxhive.squarespace.com/cakes/p/cosmos Shopify: https://www.onyxhive.com.au/products/cosmos
  17. trying to figure out how to determine which email address the receipts for the donations get sent to. every time there's a donation, I as the webmaster of the site get an alert. I don't want to receive these alerts. Instead I'd like to send them to an email that the client prefers. couldn't find anything in the articles about this, or by browsing through the menu options either. thanks in advance! Ryan

  19. Site URL: https://westhexes.squarespace.com/all/2726-k57wn-ctstz Hello! I'm trying to change the font of the "Sold Out" text, not on the thumbnails/badges but rather on the actual item page above "add to cart". Whenever I try to target this text in the site styles editor, it brings up the status badge options - which does not change this font. (I'd like it to be Covik Sans). I have combed through the heading text and others to try to find where it might be pulling this font from, but I cannot find it. Does anyone know of code that can fix this, or know where it pulls this text style from? Thanks in advance for any help!
  20. Site URL: https://crystal-voyager.com/crystal-voyager-store Hello, Because of the product amount limitation of 200 items per page, I have had to split my store into two different pages under a folder labeled Shop. I wanted to add a button or link to the bottom of the page that says go to page 2 (and the reverse go back to page 1) at the bottom (after the last product before the footer). I cannot figure out the best way to do this since store pages only allow you to add products, not additional links or buttons. I know this needs to be done with code injector but I cannot figure out how to place this option in the right location. It always just goes to the top of the page. I would really appreciate it if someone could help me with this. It seems like it should be so easy!
  21. Site URL: https://www.collaclothing.com Hi all! I'm needing some advice, assistance and or coding for one of my client's sites: www.collaclothing.com. Password is colla2022. It is a 7.1 site. How can I change the font for the announcement bar/banner? How can I change ONLY the description font on the product pages? How can I change ONLY the pricing font on the product pages? How can I change the fonts of the product title, sizing, and all pricing text within the shopping cart page? How can I change all the fonts on the checkout page? How can I edit the maximum desktop dimensions for the footer's white 'collar' image? How can I edit the maximum width of this footer 'collar' image for movile devices, and recentre both this and the 'Colla Clothing' text? What is the best way to add a clothing size guide on the product pages? I don't want it to sit underneath the product photos, I'd rather it sit next to 'Add to cart' or near that area. And I'd rather it be some sort of button or link text to lightbox, or accordion style. I've seen the third party integrations suggested in other threads, but would prefer a free option through coding or other advice. Thank you so much! Hope to find some solutions below. FYI - I also have SquareKicker access if there is anything I could implement through there re: size guide.
