  1. Hi, I am located in Australia. I am seeking the best way to offer commerce to my clients but am finding it difficult to please all 4 of my clients common commerce needs all together…Am wondering if anyone can shed light on the below... 1) Products created in their squarespace commerce integration + 2) A payment gateway / processor that works in australia and accepts both eftpos and credit cards online and at point of sale + 3) feeds that sales data into a finance management software (usually Xero but i’d be open to suggesting clients use one that might fit better?) + 4) shipping calculation integration (only possibly via API’s I think?) I don’t want to set up products twice - once in Squarespace then again in whichever payment processor is chosen I would like online AND point of sale purchases to be recorded against customer’s Squarespace accounts - this is for marketing purposes because that way, mailing lists can be segmented according to product’s purchased and subscribers who have purchased can be email targeted according to which products they bought and are / might be interested in. I don’t want (and clients don’t want) to create products twice - once in squarespace and once in the payment processor. Can you help me solve this integration nightmare?!

  3. Hi there, I've added some CSS to show Sold 'stickers' on my site, but when viewing a category overview page (eg .view-list) the price still shows, where I'd like to have it say 'Sold' instead.   4. Hi all, I recently set up my facebook shop and connected my squarespace commerce account to the shop. However, my orders from the facebook shop are not showing up in my orders tab in SS comerce, which apparently is a known thing. Here is what the meta chat told me since I cannot currently add a system user right now: Upon checking the screenshot, it seems that it's asking to install/add an app. however, this seems to be a part of developer team. In this scenario, I would first suggest you to visit these links below and try to install the app via mentioned steps.   6. Hello! I used some CSS to make the product images on my website show as stacked on mobile. The code worked in principle, but for some reason the second image is not showing and there is instead a blank space between the image and the product title. Is there a way to fix this so the second image shows stacked or to hide it altogether so it's only the main product image?   8. When I publish my product, will it appear on a private Squarespace site? I aim to test the purchasing process from a customer's perspective, but it seems I can't access the products unless I set them to "public." My website is still in the development phase and is password-protected at the moment, so I prefer not to make it public yet. Here's what I've done up to this point: I created a store page and added 2 products. However, my store page is just empty (except for its prebuilt layout). I can't seem to add my 2 products to the page until I publish my site or publish the products... but as I said above, my site isn't ready to go live yet.
  9. I would love to give users the option to read a certain number of blog posts, pages, view certain numbers of gallery images, and if exceeded, they can subscribe (and pay). Is this somehow possible or in the making?
  10. This is regarding the On Demand (Paywall) feature. Does anyone know if there is an option to configure this feature so that new subscribers need to (1) watch a safety video and (2) agree to the terms and conditions of use, before getting access to the on-demand video content (i.e. automated so the completed video AND acceptance of T&Cs would trigger access to the on-demand video content)?

  12. I'm using Square + Squarespace POS on iOS. In Commerce > Start New Transaction, the two view options are Grid and List. However, the order of the products shown in either view is not the same as my online store. This is problematic because my products are entitled Card Pack 1, Card Pack 2, Card Pack 3...and so on. The app lists products in a random order: Card Pack 7, 4, 8, 11, 2...etc. So in front of a customer who wants to be on their way, I'm wasting their time by having to hunt around for the Card Packs they've ordered. Is there any way to rearrange the order of products in iOS POS product views? I can't find anything. The settings (gear icons) don't offer much of anything. Save me!
  13. Is it possible to create access, via an email sign up, to a free video download? The link would be in the reply email. All I can see are ways to ask for payment. Creating a password protected page seems too much effort for someone to access a short video. Thanks

  15. Squarespace is dangerously close to being a perfect lite weight CRM with digital invoicing. There are 2 simple features that would make it perfect that are missing. 1. When generating an invoice, it should be possible to populate line items from existing product/service inventories and have the relevant inventory update accordingly 2. When viewing a client/contact "profile" under the "contacts" tab, there should be a button to generate an invoice. If these things were implemented it would make the invoicing feature as good as anything in the industry
  16. Why can you not set a maximum/minimum quantity for products per customer in Squarespace? This is a fairly standard and sensible option in pretty much every competing commerce platform. I have seen dozens of comments in here, dating back years, with people asking about this feature. The closest solutions I have seen are code additions that dissuade people from adding more on the product page, but don't really stop buyers from adding as many as they want. The answer from Squarespace developers seems consistently to be "you just can't do that with physical products". My question is: Why not? If there is an obvious interest/need among Squarespace users for this capability, and every other commerce platform can do it, why has Squarespace not added this yet? Is there a legitimate reason?

Has anyone bought the date picker from beyond space? https://www.beyondspace.studio/squarespace-datepicker I bought this, and I'm wondering if anyone in the forum could help me customise it. I've tried contacting support several times but not getting anywhere and my code knowledge for something like this is limited. I've currently got the code set up to make the 2024 Victorian (Australia) public holidays unavailable, and also Sundays - we also have a lead time set up. But I'm concerned that the dates ahead aren't able to be customised. We also would like to customise to change the lead time for future products or events - like Christmas or special orders. I'm not sure if I'm able to post the code in the forum but maybe someone who can help me maybe message me? I haven't made it live on the website yet as i wanted to get these things sorted first.
  18. Is there a way to add a link in the store navigation (mine currently is just the product categories) that allows a visitor to toggle the visibility of sold out items? like "hide sold-out items" and "display sold-out items" searched the forum and help guides but have come up empty handed.
  19. Hi fellow engineers, I have a bunch of scripts that help me to automate products creation/update in Squarespace and everything works fine. However, when I request a specific product (`GET https://api.squarespace.com/1.1/commerce/products/123123123123/`), the response lacks an important parameter, the `featured` flag, that is normally a part of the Selling Tools section. I need to have a possibility to both get and set this parameter. Is there a way to do so?   20. Hi all, I ran an SEO check using a specific tool now that I have my site in place. It happens that the tool is reporting a lot of warning/error regarding the /cart. Is there a way to remove this from my website? I have it deactivated but apparently it's hidden from visitors but enable for crawlers? This is not good to have pages on the website with all sorts of errors. It will signal google in a bad way. Is there a way to remove this?
  21. Hello, I bought a Universal Filter and I would like to add only the SORT function to the product page. Now it looks like this. I would like the categories not to be dropdowns, but to remain as they were predefined in the original template. Something like this. I've tried to add "hidden: true" to code, but that only makes the categories disappear completely. Thank you for any help.
  22. Up to now, I have used Quickbooks for formal invoicing for our services after we receive leads from our Squarespace website. I decided to try Squarespace invoicing. I set up half a dozen Products, all Services, with descriptions of various length, and some with prices, which I wish to have appear on the invoice. When I add a Line Item to an invoice, it appears that I have to manually enter the name of the service, rather than choosing from the list of my Products. The description of the Product whose name I enter does not appear, nor does the price. In almost any invoicing system with inventory/products, I would expect to be able to choose from a predefined list and have the related information (description, SKU, price, etc.) entered automatically. Am I missing a step or am I creating invoices in the wrong manner? Any assistance will be appreciated!
  23. Hello, I want to subscribe a Squarespace plan to build my ecommerce website and I'm trying the trial version. My intention is to sell digital (fonts) and physical products but I discovered there are not variants for the digital ones.. I need them for various licenses. That is the only thing I need to make a subscription plan because the other things fit my intentions perfectly. Is there a chance to improve that field or other way to make it possible?
  24. Hi folks, My site, toursincolor.com offers its visitors different tours to book. Since my site is marketing a service that only requires one transaction, I'm hoping to bypass the cart page that squarespace requires, and go directly to the checkout page. For someone who has no background in code, is this relatively doable. If this isn't simple, then I'm open to some alternatives. 1) Get a direct link to the checkout page that I can email customers or 2) Get rid of the quantity in the cart page?   25. Hi, Is there a custom code that I can use to generate the product name and prices to be displayed over the feature Images? I have added some images of how I would like to display products on the store page is this possible in Squarespace? The product details to be on top of the image are also on a low-opacity box that covers a section of the image to allow the details to stand out. Can these changes also be made to feature products on the home landing page? The products I am selling are all digital, I don't know if this affects anything Thank you for any help, James
