  1. I did find the row ID of the secton on that page: #yui_3_17_2_1_1563961356196_1028 But the code after "yui" changes every site load. I know it is possible to change a color if the id starts with "block-yui". But I want to change the color of a whole row. Thanks!
  2. Hello, I am trying to change the titles color in my gallery pages as it's very hard to read. If you click on the link below you'll see how the at the bottom of the image the title is white. http://www.giorgiabrugnoli.com/#/nephew/ I tried to change it to another color through the Site Styles but it automatically changes it in the About page body copy, where I need it to be white instead: http://www.giorgiabrugnoli.com/about-the-fox How do I avoid this and only change the copy color in my gallery pages? Thanks!
  3. hi, I am currently working on the Five template and have drop down folder on my navigation bar. My background is light pink, however the outline of the drop down folder is red and I really can't seem to change this! It's driving me mad!I've tried different CSS codes and looked through site styles but can't seem to find how to fix these. I would like to change the red outline to either hsl (0,100%, 97%) or hsl (0, 0%, 27%). If anyone has any advise, please let me know!
  4. Here's my URL; https://grey-rectangle-kra2.squarespace.com/config/design/styles I want to have header number 1 ('For the love of words.) in white, and the second header at the bottom of the page (Make an Enquiry / Become a Contributor) in black so that they both stand out against their respective backgrounds. But every time I change one it changes the other. Is there a way around this? Thanks in advance
  5. My home page is www.stonepierpress.org, and right now we have a promotional pop-up that asks people to subscribe to our newsletter when they arrive on the site. They can close out of the pop-up, but I was wondering if it was possible to change that so they can only minimize the pop-up and it becomes almost like a small chat bar in the lower right-hand corner? Hard to describe but like a minimized page that it is in the bottom right when they navigate the rest of the website, so they can change their mind and subscribe. Thanks!
  6. Hi everyone! I’m having some trouble with markdown and I’m hoping someone in the community might be able to help. Using markdown, my goal is to have a line of text in H2 centered AND fade to a different color when you hover over it. Using the code below, I’ve been able to get the text to fade when I hover over it using the markdown code below. But I haven’t been able to figure out how to center it, it stays left-aligned. There is also a strange thin line that’s appearing under the text that I’m not sure how to remove. (Screenshot of code is attached as the Squarespace forum translated the code when I typed it below) My website is using the Mentor template, and it’s at https://inmymindconference.com. Thanks so much for your help!
  7. Hello, I run into this problem (attached image) when I go to apply background-color to my hover on effect to a gallery images image. Currently i'm using the CSS code below. how do I prevent this bleeding into the area outside of the image, so that I just have the color in the area that turns white once hovered? .sqs-gallery-design-grid .slide:hover { background-color: #af272f; z-index: 9999; top: -18px; margin-bottom: -18px; -webkit-transition: all 300ms ease-out; -moz-transition: all 300ms ease-out; -o-transition: all 300ms ease-out; -ms-transition: all 300ms ease-out; transition: all 300ms ease-out; opacity:.6 !important; } .sqs-gallery-block-grid .slide .margin-wrapper:hover .image-slide-title { opacity: 1; } .sqs-gallery-block-grid .slide .margin-wrapper a.image-slide-anchor img { opacity: 1; transition: opacity .2s ease-in-out; -moz-transition: opacity .2s ease-in-out; -webkit-transition: opacity .2s ease-in-out; } .sqs-gallery-block-grid .slide .margin-wrapper a.image-slide-anchor:hover { opacity: 0.3; transition: opacity 0.2s ease-in-out; } a img.thumb-image:hover { opacity: 0.6; background: #7a99ac !important }

  9. @dnesci Hi, I used your code in page injection to change the page to a blue color ok https://www.deep-impact.org.uk/home-info When I move the page into an index it loses the color when viewing the index, even if I add the other code into custom css. https://www.deep-impact.org.uk/home-11 If I view source on the index page and change the collection id in the custom css all the pages in the index go blue. What am I doing wrong? Thanks Pete
  10. Hi, I'm trying to change the color and font size of the overlapped text on stella theme. I've spent quite some time try to figure this issue out on my own but have not had luck. In trying to change the color from orange to white, and size "weddings" to not shift down. Help would be greatly appreciated
  11. Hello, I would like my navigation to have different colors than the other pages only in the About page: http://www.giorgiabrugnoli.com/about-the-fox I'd like the hover color to be hsl(11.7, 57%, 73.5%) and the active color to be hsl(38.6, 85.6%, 53.7%). What's the code injection here? Thank you in advance :)
  12. As it says in the title, I'm using the Ishimoto template and I want to each page to have a different background colour. At the moment my splash page is one colour and every other page is another colour and it's really limiting. Does anyone have any recommendations CSS-wise?
  13. When my navigation is over a banner in Brine the folder nav links show the same color as my folder background color on hover. I don't want to change the active nav link color, just the hover color for links in a folder.
  14. The home page is www.stonepierpress.org. I was asked to change the color of the background between the 2nd and 3rd lines -- where it has three photos (Environment Prize, News Fellows, Eating and Growing Good Food) -- to tint it slightly. Is it possible to change the background color slightly just between those two lines in that section? Thanks!
  15. I'm trying to have different indexes and their pages to have different background colors. Through my searches I've found that a lot of users were using something like such for a 'Photo', and 'Motion' index as an example: #index-section-photo .index-item { background-color: #ffffff !important; } #index-section-motion .index-item { background-color: #222222 !important; } I didn't get any results in the Custom CSS panel. Any ideas on what I may be doing wrong?
  16. I have this big problem that affects the quality of the user experience, for uploaded photos. The original photo color (left) is degraded or decolorized after being uploaded (right). NOTE: this is not in a gallery or behind some overlay, this is the actual .jpg image accessed directly from the Squarespace CDN after being uploaded. You can see on the right the colors are clearly de-saturated compared to the original. Any suggestions?
  17. Does anyone happen to know the CSS to change the content background color (behind the text)? Thank you in advance if anyone has any helpful hints.
  18. There I was, rubbing my hands together, ready for the official launch of my website. After uploading the top picture which was simply a white background with my logo centered, in big, I was gleaming with excitement but TO MY HORROR I realized the picture I posted had an overlay on it just like every other picture on the entire website. The masterpiece I had spent weeks working had been ruined. The big bright logo looked dull and mundane. How could I overlooked such an obvious mistake? I practically tried to redo the entire website so I won’t even post the link to what is now an abomination! I just wanted the Bedford template to feature my logo in the middle on the top like templates like Pacific or Dovetail. That is my tale of woe. So how do you remove the overlay on just ONE banner image with a Hayden/Bedford template using CSS? It is the homepage, the first picture in my index. GENNICK? Squarespace Guru? Alan Houser? Somebody help!
  19. How to change font type and colour for few words in the body text? Thank you.
  20. Hello! I am trying to change the font color of everything on the turquoise section where my "services," "amenities" and "investment" are on my site. Could someone tell me how I could go about that because everything I've tried isn't working? Thanks!
  21. When I create a block, the block is transparent so all of my text/content sits on top of my background which is a problem as my background goes between dark and very bright. I was wondering if there was a way to add colour to a block to make it a physical box of one colour which my text would sit in and be far easier to read. Thanks for reading. Moax Lycan
  22. How can I change the background color of a form block and will the change affect all blocks on my site?
  23. I use Mercer template and wont to change only index page background color .at first I tried to use <style> body {background-color: pink;} #canvas {background-color: pink;} </style> than .collection-[id] #content { background-color: [your color #]; } all 2 examples not working for me pls help me :((((
  24. The banner image on one of my pages makes the page title text hard to read, even if I change the font and font color. I'd rather not change the banner image itself. Is there a way to put a background color behind the page title text so that it pops from the photo, making it easier to read? The font is white so I'd like the background color to be black. I only want this on a couple of page titles, not the whole site. I guess what I'm looking for is something that approximates the text highlight feature in Microsoft Word. I'm using the FIVE template. I'm new at this, so thanks in advance!
