  1. Hello, I would like my navigation to have different colors than the other pages only in the About page: http://www.giorgiabrugnoli.com/about-the-fox I'd like the hover color to be hsl(11.7, 57%, 73.5%) and the active color to be hsl(38.6, 85.6%, 53.7%). What's the code injection here? Thank you in advance :)
  2. As it says in the title, I'm using the Ishimoto template and I want to each page to have a different background colour. At the moment my splash page is one colour and every other page is another colour and it's really limiting. Does anyone have any recommendations CSS-wise?
  3. When my navigation is over a banner in Brine the folder nav links show the same color as my folder background color on hover. I don't want to change the active nav link color, just the hover color for links in a folder.
  4. The home page is www.stonepierpress.org. I was asked to change the color of the background between the 2nd and 3rd lines -- where it has three photos (Environment Prize, News Fellows, Eating and Growing Good Food) -- to tint it slightly. Is it possible to change the background color slightly just between those two lines in that section? Thanks!
  5. I'm trying to have different indexes and their pages to have different background colors. Through my searches I've found that a lot of users were using something like such for a 'Photo', and 'Motion' index as an example: #index-section-photo .index-item { background-color: #ffffff !important; } #index-section-motion .index-item { background-color: #222222 !important; } I didn't get any results in the Custom CSS panel. Any ideas on what I may be doing wrong?
  6. I have this big problem that affects the quality of the user experience, for uploaded photos. The original photo color (left) is degraded or decolorized after being uploaded (right). NOTE: this is not in a gallery or behind some overlay, this is the actual .jpg image accessed directly from the Squarespace CDN after being uploaded. You can see on the right the colors are clearly de-saturated compared to the original. Any suggestions?
  7. Does anyone happen to know the CSS to change the content background color (behind the text)? Thank you in advance if anyone has any helpful hints.
  8. There I was, rubbing my hands together, ready for the official launch of my website. After uploading the top picture which was simply a white background with my logo centered, in big, I was gleaming with excitement but TO MY HORROR I realized the picture I posted had an overlay on it just like every other picture on the entire website. The masterpiece I had spent weeks working had been ruined. The big bright logo looked dull and mundane. How could I overlooked such an obvious mistake? I practically tried to redo the entire website so I won’t even post the link to what is now an abomination! I just wanted the Bedford template to feature my logo in the middle on the top like templates like Pacific or Dovetail. That is my tale of woe. So how do you remove the overlay on just ONE banner image with a Hayden/Bedford template using CSS? It is the homepage, the first picture in my index. GENNICK? Squarespace Guru? Alan Houser? Somebody help!
  9. How to change font type and colour for few words in the body text? Thank you.
  10. Hello! I am trying to change the font color of everything on the turquoise section where my "services," "amenities" and "investment" are on my site. Could someone tell me how I could go about that because everything I've tried isn't working? Thanks!
  11. When I create a block, the block is transparent so all of my text/content sits on top of my background which is a problem as my background goes between dark and very bright. I was wondering if there was a way to add colour to a block to make it a physical box of one colour which my text would sit in and be far easier to read. Thanks for reading. Moax Lycan
  12. How can I change the background color of a form block and will the change affect all blocks on my site?
  13. I use Mercer template and wont to change only index page background color .at first I tried to use <style> body {background-color: pink;} #canvas {background-color: pink;} </style> than .collection-[id] #content { background-color: [your color #]; } all 2 examples not working for me pls help me :((((
  14. The banner image on one of my pages makes the page title text hard to read, even if I change the font and font color. I'd rather not change the banner image itself. Is there a way to put a background color behind the page title text so that it pops from the photo, making it easier to read? The font is white so I'd like the background color to be black. I only want this on a couple of page titles, not the whole site. I guess what I'm looking for is something that approximates the text highlight feature in Microsoft Word. I'm using the FIVE template. I'm new at this, so thanks in advance!
  15. https://independent-leaders.squarespace.com/ We're trying to work out a way to make the logo white on the homepage and black across all other pages on the site. Any ideas? I've played with the custom CSS but not yet able to make any of it work! Cheers
  16. Is there anyone out there who can tell me how to change the color of a gallery block background? Code would be okay, but I don't have a developer account / access. Basically I would like a black background behind the images in the gallery. Or dark gray.
  17. Can anyone help with the CSS to add a gradient color to the background of FIVE?
  18. Can someone give me CSS to change the color on the audio player (it’s black and I need a light blue) – or is it impossible? Thanks in advance.
  19. Hi, is it possible to invert a black logo to a white logo when the background changes to a dark image? The forte template supports changing fonts in a logo, but is there a way to also change a monochromatic logo to white?
  20. Hi there, I am wanting to know if you can add a full width coloured background strip behind a type block? I want to add strips of colour to divide the type like the grey strips in this site http://blussh.com.au/about/ that I know was created is Squarespace. I have very basic knowledge of editing code if this is how it needs to be done. Could I have instructions on how to do this? I am currently using the Five template. Thanks for your help,
  21. Hi everyone, I just switched to Atelier - which looks great and after a bit of fiddling around I've got text colors and everything the way I want. Here's where I'm stuck - On my pages with a gallery "box" added I have them set up to open in a pop up window - each image that is. I can't find where or how to change the background color from black to white. It's just to harsh of a difference with the layout all in white and I'd like to make them the same. Help! Thanks is advance@
  22. Hi My homepage is an index page comprising of 3 pages. Im trying to change the background colour of just one of the page. I have tried several suggestions in various answers in the forum although none seem to work. I am using the following code which changes the colour when im viewing that page alone, although when i view the homepage it does not reflect the changed colour. .collection-[id] #page { background-color: [color #]; } Your expert help is much appreciated. 23. My logo on my home page is white (with a darker banner image). I have alternative page that has no banner image image and the background is white. Is there any CSS or other options that would allow me to have my home page logo be white, but on other pages it would be black?
  24. im looking to use a summary block and change the color of the hyperlink in the content box that will appear underneath the image. I would like to the item number (begins with MEA) to be red. It will link customers to another site where they can buy it. at the moment it is all black like the rest of the text, but im afraid if it is not another color, customer wont know that they can click on it. Im choosing to use a summery block, because i will be listing about 75 items and ideally would like to still be able to use categories. Here is a link to the page im referring too. https://ivory-ventura-f35s.squarespace.com/new-page any suggestions would be greatly appreciated :)
