I have a website, wareagleforge.com. The default logo for the website is a black png. On several pages with dark headers, I've used code to make the logo white. The shop page is one example of a page with a dark background so I've used the code on that specific page to make the logo white. But it turns out that the product details pages inherit that change. My product details pages do not have a dark background for the header so you cannot see the white logo on the white background. I'd like to ONLY use the black logo on the product details page and NOT on the shop page. I've tried every example I could find online and nothing seems to achieve what I'm trying to do. Any ideas? I am creating a website for an art gallery. I have an "artists" collection page for all the inventory (approving in the navigation), with each artist's work as a sub-collection(not appearing in the navigation). I want to add a "learn more about this artist" button on each sub-collection page, and link the button to an About page for that artist (with resume, artist statement, etc) - a different button link for each collection page. As far as I can see, the button link must be the same across all the sub-collection pages. Is it possible to make a different button link for each sub-collection page?

I'm a web developer, but am new to squarespace template development. I'm stuck on a couple of things, so I'm hoping someone can help me here. Custom Collections: I have read the Developer Platform Documentation, and I have done the Beginner Tutorial, but I can't seem to get collections to work correctly. If I add the files blog.conf, blog.item, and blog.list to the collections directory, I am then able to add a 'Blog' collection, and pages in that collection. But if I name it anything other than blog, nothing happens. Is there some trick to making this work? In this example, my collections directory has 6 files (blog.conf, blog.list, blog.item, custom.conf, custom.list, custom.item). why is only the 'Blog' collection available. Hello! I've added lots of videos to a "video collection", which serves as a main function of my website: https://www.jamesgreenfilm.com/ However, when the video thumbnails are clicked, we follow through to a dedicated page for that video/project. I'd much prefer if the video plays in a pop-up lightbox, allowing the user to easily watch, click and navigate through all of my videos with ease. I did a quick crude mock up on Photoshop of the sort of thing I'd love (if possible, of course!) I've seen various threads on here, and I can't seem to decipher which one will work for me specifically. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

I'm wondering if there's a way to change the footer background color per each page. I've been trying to target it with collection ID, but nothing is working. As you can see, on the pink/orange/tan pages I'd like for the background color to continue into the footer, instead of being the off-white color. Any help is much appreciated.

On the home page where shop, about, contact etc is, I want to put a spot for each of my products, ie Platters, narrow plates, sculptures etc. That link will take the customer to the page with each individual product. Each different of course. I cant for the life of me figure out how to create the names on the home page. I did once but never again!!! Ok, I am setting up my site as an author. I am setting up a pay site for my content. I want to use a collection on the pay site to organize the volumes and chapters of a writing project. None of the collections have a working layout for what I want to do, without a complete redesign. I want to just have a blank collection where if I create a subpage nothing shows up on the main collection page, I want to add items myself, and have complete creative control. My understanding is that there is no way to just remove the automatically created content on a collection page. If I make a collection, is it possible to make the main page inaccessible? Can I remove the next lesson button from a lesson page in a course collection? Honestly, the lack of subpage support for regular pages and lack of support for folders in members sections leaves me frustrated. I don't want to make a million regular pages as it will fill the navigation for users and make navigation for me frustrating as well. Any help would be appreciated. edit: could I link to a specific blog page instead of the main blog page?

Hello Squarespace Community, I’m working on an application that requires dynamically adding various real estate properties into a collection, each with its detailed page, and implementing search functionality on the page displaying all properties. If the properties were to be manually added one-by-one by the client who owns the website, I believe my objectives could be accomplished straightforwardly by creating a collection for the properties and adding the necessary attributes. However, my goal is to synchronize the properties with an external service, which necessitates a different approach. Ideally, I'd prefer not to fetch properties via JavaScript upon page load, considering the potential negative impact on SEO. I'm also open to pushing static pages for each property, but this seems unfeasible without a store in developer mode, which would allow sending pages via SFTP or Git. I haven’t found clear documentation on dynamically adding and synchronizing collections to Squarespace via the API. Can anyone provide confirmation on whether this is possible or correct my understanding if I’ve misinterpreted the documentation? Any guidance or alternative suggestions would be deeply appreciated! So currently squarespace has two "states": Pending & fulfilled This is good if you don't have any concerns about double pick ups/people taking advantage, we need a way to mark orders as collected that is clear and not just in the order notes. Thanks

Hi, Creating my website, I have a body of work that has many series, and thinking of having a sub-galley link to an image in the main gallery which show the different series as a grid, which could be viewed individually in another gallery. In order words, how to have an image in the main gallery linked to a "sub-gallery", and "sub-sub gallery" for which the sub-galleries does not appear in the header. Thank you,

Is there a way to add color swatches under applicable products on a store collection page? For example, I have golf shirt products that come in multiple colors (black, white, red, etc.). I would like a circle with each of these colors below the product. Please note that not all products in my store collection have variants / multiple colors. This URL provides an example. Hello, I need to know how to refund a client for a payment she made. I am offering classes thru my website using Squarespace and I was doing a scheduling test of my scheduler and I pay for a class as if I was a client. After testing the scheduler I erased my "purchase" but now I can not refund myself and I have a charge on my credit card. How can I process a refund to a client that pays and then cancels the class? Hi. I made a site for my video production company: hauntedbasement.video Everything is looking okay, but my big gripe is with the default size of videos in the video collection I use as my portfolio. Currently, the videos are displayed so that they take up the entire width of the screen. Does anyone know how to change the size for videos within a video collection? Thanks!

I want to create a newsfeed type page, something that looks like a blog collection page but links to external content. Basically I want my client to be able to paste a URL of an article on an external site and it will add an image card with image, title, etc from the external site. Basically the same thing that happens when you post a link on a facebook or Linkedin feed. Is there a way to do that in squarespace? I've only been able to figure it our for internal blog pages. Hi everyone, i'm facing a strange technical problem I can't seem to find a workaround for. I am starting a website for some furniture products, but I'm only taking inquires instead of offering immediate purchase. The website therefore is meant to work much more like a gallery, exhibiting some details and descriptions of each design but mainly sharing image and video content. here's the URL: Ossoforms.com I cannot seem to find the appropriate page type that suits all my needs: The "Store" collection performs well in displaying a grid of products, but within subpages I cannot: 1.) remove price information 2.) change the "add to cart" button into an "inquire" email prompt, or 3.) display a video in a new section. I do like how the product image gallery can lightbox images for a bigger display. The “Blog” collection performs similarly well in displaying a grid of products, but each blog post subpage: 1.) has an unremovable date tag at the top of the page 2.) a carousel gallery that does not have the lightbox function The layout is pretty flexible and I can add spacers where I want to in order to refine the design The “Videos” collection does a great job in presenting the video content, but each subpage doesn’t 1.) allow extra sections to add additional photo gallery content or any kind of text. The “Portfolio” collection presents the content well, but each subpage: 1.) struggles to link a gallery carousel like in the “Store” subpages. I tried linking to a blog with my product images, but when you intuitively click to achieve the lighbox function, you’re sent to a random blog page instead of staying in the portfolio subpage. The layout is flexible because you can add sections and additional blocks (like video). I am also able to customize the “Inquire” button that begins to draft an inquiry email, which the “Store” subpages couldn’t perform. Additionally, I’ve tried single standalone “Blank Pages” and while the customization is good, the gallery carousel has a fixed width across the page. Additionally, the blank pages seem to fail to “collate” into a clear grid layout within a folder collection. Instead, it creates the drop-down menu style on the homepage navigation. Really hoping there’s a way to fix this- I remember the site styles and templates allowing for more flexibility in the past with a previous website I did. Perhaps there’s a way to get nitty gritty within the “Commerce” section so that the “Store” performs a little bit better, or somehow preventing a blog from opening when you click on a gallery image in the “Portfolio” subpages. Maybe I should revert to Squarespace 7.0, if possible, or change my template, if possible.

Hi, I have some products on my online shop which have both shipping and in-store pickup options for fulfilment (binoculars and perfumes). My problem is that the pickup options do not show up within the checkout section unless there is also a product which is in-store only (milk jug). How can i get the in-store pickup options to show up as well as online shipping?
