  1. From the admin side of a blog is there a way to filter post by categories? I've noticed there is away to filter the options by draft, schedule, and published. But can I filter by Categories? Example within one blog I may have two Categories, Updates and Art Is there a simple way for me to filter those on the admin side to make managing them alot easier? A special search command or something maybe? Thanks for any help it's greatly appreciated!
  2. Site URL: https://www.ashlane.com.au/ I'm hoping someone can help me figure out how to get my blog thumbnail image out of the header of the individual blog page. The title also is in the banner and you can see overlaps some words as well. I have searched for the past hour and I'm having no luck at all. The image of what I am seeing is attached. Apologies in advance if this is obvious, I have just started playing with blogs today. I'm on version 7.0 and this is the Bedford Template if that helps.
  3. Site URL: https://www.alicedealmiddleschool.org/ Hi All, I am struggling to find a way to show a directory of teachers at a large school who is revamping their website (already using SS). Ideally, I'd love to have something like Squarespace has on their own template main page (https://www.squarespace.com/templates) where you can select your category and the info appears. I tweeted them and they said they build that using custom code (which I would suggest is cheating!). They suggested using the blog and archive block feature but as a relative newby I'm struggling with how many clicks it takes to get the info needed. I simply want to show Name and email address for each teacher, but with the archive block you first have to select the category, then click on the name THEN it goes to a separate page with the name and email. I also will have to organize these by date and not alphabetically, which would be the preference. Surely there is another way? Thanks!
  4. Is there a way to define a list of blog categories and disable the creation of new categories? I have a predefined list of acceptable categories and don't want users to be able to add their own
  5. I'm working with RALLY and I can't seem to find the option to change the title font on actual blog posts. I've altered every other font on the site.
  6. Site URL: https://www.uncagedbird.studio/ Strange behavior from my laptop, which I don't normally use for editing. The little plus signs don't appear for me when going into edit mode and hovering over a content block as per usual. See first photo. Also, when I first log in, my site page doesn't render in the RH pane as it normally does on my desktop. Instead, there's a horizontal bar on the bottom with the page title. In order to see the page, I have to swipe up. See second screenshot. Lenovo Yogabook C930 running Win 10 and Edge browser, both fully updated. Is this some sort of tablet version of the page that the Squarespace UI is switching to because of my weird device?
  7. Site URL: https://www.yungrealestate.com/availabilities I added code for a loading animation to the Page Header Code Injection in Blog Settings. It works great but it loads on all the blog pages as well as the main blog list page. How can I stop the animation from loading on all of the individual blog pages? I would prefer for it to only load on the main blog list page. Thanks!
  8. Site URL: https://oopsvegan.com/ Hi! I am wondering how can I add hreflang tags to my blog posts. I have a multilingual site with 2 languages (English and Spanish). Google seems to not differentiate the 2 languages because when i add the name of my website on Google, the search result give a mix of English and Spanish. View screenshot attached. Will adding a hreflang tag solve this, what else should I be looking at? Thanks so much Patricia
  9. Site URL: https://www.outbrnd.com/ Hey Guys, I had to put my site on hold for a while and now that I'm back, Squarespace seems to have changed quite a bit. I've now tried to create a blog on my site, which is going to host some articles for SEO purposes. However, at the top of each post, I'd like to have a full-bleed image, or at the very least, I'd like it to almost reach the edge of the browser. The only thing I can think of is to create a custom CSS script that will change the image block's width on each blog post. However, the problem with that is that I intend to have a lot of posts, so i'm going to end up with a LOT of custom CSS Scripts just for the image blocks. Another thought I had, I can possibly 'diy' a blog system by creating multiple pages (one normal page for each post - using normal pages since they have the option for a header with a full-bleed image) under a folder, and having that folder's page show images which link to the individual posts. Although, that would be quite a bit of extra work just to have full-bleed header banners. Is there another way that I can achieve this? Any help here would be appreciated.
  10. Site URL: http://www.nicolasmarino.com I love the Moksha template but it probably has one of the very worst blog formats imaginable. The text will stretch across the width of the entire browser window making it very unfriendly for reading posts. Which brings me to the question: Is there any way, possibly through coding, to change the formatting of blogs posts in this template to restrict them to a column in the middle of the page regardless of window size? This is like most logical blogs are designed. This can't be changed from the template's setting. Or would I have to drop the template altogether and start again with a new one? Which I'll avoid if I can. Thanks!
  11. I'm in the process of setting up a family website to feature old photos and home movies (images from 1900 on). A blog format would seem to be ideal for this, so that on an index page I could add summary blocks that would sort by date, or by who's in each photo, etc. But I'm running into trouble as I'm trying to date these posts, as Squarespace's scroll-through calendar (to "schedule" or "publish" posts) doesn't allow for any dates earlier than January 1, 1970. Is there some kind of work-around for this? I guess I could date each post using a "tag" or some other data, but ideally it'd be great for the post itself to have a date that corresponds with the content of the old family photos. Thanks for any advice you can offer!
  12. Site URL: https://yogapunxunite.com/podcast/identifying-habit I use the blog functionality for my podcast. I'd like to change my podcast post pages to look more like the attached image. Key things for me are: Full bleed image at top of page. Play button activates lightbox / pop up of YouTube video. In-built Squarespace audio player to be full width and sit underneath hero image (would be great if it had an overlay but not essential). Does anyone know what CSS code I need to use to be able to do this, assuming it is possible.
  13. Site URL: http://www.marikekale.com Squarespace 7.1. doesn't support yet blog posts simple liking, but has anyone coded this by themselves? I tried a few custom css's, but couldn't figured it out. Would highly appreciated support if someone knows how to add simple likes to blog posts in Squarespace version 7.1. Thank you so much!
  14. Site URL: https://rolling-pictures.squarespace.com/documentary Hi, I would like the Blog pages: Animation Documentary Feature etc to show more than one image on smaller devices. Currently, the mobile view shows one project/image at a time. See images attached for reference on what it the mobile version looks like. vs the desktop. I wouldn't mind if the mobile shows two images at a time. Another screenshot showcases the about us gallery images which shows 2 images at a time on mobile, but for some reason it's getting cut off and expanding the page horizontally which is causing a horizontal scroll (which I don't want). How do I fix these issues?
  15. Site URL: https://marigold-wolf-xzky.squarespace.com/ Hi there, first time posting on the forums but felt encouraged based on other threads I've read from. I am working on developing a site and cannot get the header of this blog page to be the custom typeface we are using. When I click into the blog it is correct, just on the single-column summary page the title is incorrect. Being that the site is in development it is password protected. The url is: https://marigold-wolf-xzky.squarespace.com/articles The password is: "documentation" Please see screenshots below. The first one (serif header) is incorrect and on the summary page, the second is on the page itself (correct). (P.S. - this entire issue could be fixed if anyone knows why DM Sans [ a typeface from Google Fonts ] is not available on the typeface library built in to Squarespace, third screenshot shows it missing) For extra info please see below is the custom CSS I have added to the site so far: @font-face { font-family: DM Sans Bold; src: url(https://static1.squarespace.com/static/60b6cf5779f0bf166f136d86/t/60b6d289297d2d2c20d94420/1622594185119/DMSans-Bold.ttf); } h1 { font-family: 'DM Sans Bold'; } @font-face { font-family: DM Sans Medium; src: url(https://static1.squarespace.com/static/60b6cf5779f0bf166f136d86/t/60b6d2951b7c4d7e9fd99a37/1622594197373/DMSans-Medium.ttf); } h2 { font-family: 'DM Sans Medium'; } @font-face { font-family: DM Sans Regular; src: url(https://static1.squarespace.com/static/60b6cf5779f0bf166f136d86/t/60b6d29712d078031a56253c/1622594199973/DMSans-Regular.ttf); } h3 { font-family: 'DM Sans Regular'; } H4 { font-family: 'DM Sans Regular'; } // // // h1.entry-title { font-family: 'DM Sans Medium' !important; } .h1.blog-title { font-family: 'DM Sans Bold' ; }
  16. Site URL: https://www.thevisualnarrative.co/blog Hi Squarespace Community- I've been trying to figure out how to center my Side-by-Side Blog Layout for the past couple hours and can't figure it out! I would love to find a solution that's built into the Squarespace interface already as I'm not well-versed in coding. Thanks!
  17. Hello, sometimes I need to add past news or older blog posts but the date picker doesn't allow to enter the date. You have to click thousand times to arrive to a desired date, for example: October 1985. Thanks
  18. Hello community! After setting up a new space, is there a way to transfer the blog posts from your old space to the new? Thanks MBP
  19. I can't for the life of me figure out how to hide the active post in a summary block for blogs. So for instance, I want to feature a summary block showing "Related Posts," so I set it to the category of the current post, but the current post that the user is reading will still show up in the summary block. Is there a way to prevent that? There's no reason a user would want to click a link to the post they're already on, obviously. This is on the Nueva template, though I haven't seen the feature in any template I've used.
  20. Hey everybody, I've worked on a couple projects where the client requested that the current page be removed from a "more posts" section at the end of blog posts. I put together a quick tutorial sharing the code snippet that shows how to do this on your site, you can check it out here: https://ryandejaegher.com/remove-current-post-summary-block-squarespace/ Enjoy!
  21. Site URL: https://wrasse-harp-hmtx.squarespace.com/home Hello, I was wondering if anyone could help me with an issue I'm having please. Is there a way to feature the latest 3 blog posts on my homepage, that carries over the styling of the actual blog page? I've tried using summary blocks, however the design looks completely different, so it ruins the aesthetic. Image 1 is what I want it to look like (That is the actual blog page) Image 2 is what it looks like when I feature them on the homepage through summary blocks. Note how the bottom section - title/description/date etc - looks completely different. Is there a way to change that? Thank you in advance.
  22. Hi there! Is there a way to randomize posts on the Blog page? I'm open to custom code or a workaround. Same question for Summary Blocks. I've also created a page of just blog posts from a Summary Block so if I can randomize that, I am good too. Thank you!
  23. Hi all. I am wondering if I could apply a different colour theme to one individual blog post without changing the colour theme to all the blogs? Can this be done through a code block or custom CSS? Thank you.
  24. Site URL: https://www.rockycoastacupuncture.com/journal/the-acupuncture-approach-to-diagnosing-fertility-issues I am working in 7.1 and looking to change the author link (that links to list of all posts by this author) at the bottom of each post in the author bio to link instead to the author's full bio in the About section. We currently have 2 authors and they would each have their own link. If this is not possible, I would like to remove this link completely. Additionally I want to enlarge the photo. Bonus points if I can enlarge and move the photo to the left of the bio text—while the author name remains where it is. Is there a way to do this?
  25. I have a client who wants to add search for blog posts. How do I do this? Cheers, Brent
