  1. Hello community, I need to use a custom font for my post titles in the blog page. I have installed a custom font and I am currently using it for all my headers. I found an entry in the forum that let me change the font for my Post Titles, but I can't change the way the entry titles are displayed as a link on my blog page. Screen capture attached. Please help!
  2. Hi Everyone, Is it possible to change the Author Name in blog posts for a Pseudonym? My client has an artists name that they want to use as the author of blog posts, not the name on their account. Is this possible to do? I know that I can remove the Author name using the Style section but it would be really useful if they could use their artists name of Phat Geezer instead just for blog posts?   4. I am working with Mojave which is in the Brine family. I am looking to add code that add side padding to the blog page without adding padding to the entire site. (I feel like this could also be achieved by a 90% width on a div tag, but I've no idea where/how to achieve that either. I need to do this for both the blog landing page and for individual posts and don't know if this requires two separate fixes. The design styles do not have options to achieve this. I've also searched this forum, but the solutions that have been outlined have produced no results. Thanks for any help anyone can provide!
  5. Hi everyone, I am struggling since a month already with how to organize my music on my website. I am a composer & performer, and have around 100 tracks on soundcloud I want to organize and display on my website. I used a blogpost for each of the tracks with respective categories (improvisations, compositions, performances etc.) and tags (instrumentation, genre etc). I organized a listening page with a tag cloud, an archive and a search bar. Well, I am just very unhappy with the options I have: -I don't want to use Album Pages because the audio quality allowed is very low (for the kind of music I am making), plus there is a limit of 60 tracks per album and I would have to re-upload everything. -If I use the blogposts (because I like the way of organizing with categories and tags) people have to make so many clicks: they have to wait for the search results to populate which is so much slower than I thought, than they have to click the blog post title and enter the blog post and than -if on mobile choose to play in browser or soundcloud - and than press play. This requires quite a lot of patience. Anyone has had similar situations, of having to organize lots of music by categories and not being happy with the quality of the squarespace player? There surely should be an easier way than to organize pages for each category and tag...I have a LOT of material to do that and I would have work extra every time I post new music. I have a personal plan so can only use CSS but if it would be possible to re-design how search-results display (that the souncloud link shows as well under the title of the post or as a pop-up when pressing the title), I am willing to switch to premium and work with a developer to make this change for me if it is above my capabilities... I already tried to work with a developer and his suggestion was to switch to wordpress...not so useful! Happy 2020 everyone! Cornelia
  6. Hi, I want to be able to have a read more link displayed if a blog post is a certain length, i.e. a certain number of words. At the moment all blog posts are displayed on the home page in full, unless I enter an excerpt for the post, in which case I get a read more link. The only issue with that is that any main image for the post disappears if you post an excerpt and you end up with just the text excerpt displayed. I can add a featured image manually to the post but instead of a full image I get one inside a circle above the post, which I don't want.
  7. To anyone that can help! We are currently using the "Mentor" [Live] template and have installed a search bar. We are using the blog feature as a sort of document repository for resource documents for customers and a central location to keep things as a backup if we need them. Currently, I am trying to "remove" an older blog post (a document) that is no longer relevant. I have; Removed the categories tag Removed the keywords tags So the post no longer shows on the main resource / blog page specifically. However, the issue I am running into is that when using the search bar the results are still showing the document / post that I wanted to remove if if any part of the title is in the search criteria. Is there a way to stop this from happening? I don't want to completely remove the post/document as we do have older versions of software, customers, etc. that may have/may be linked to it and we don't want to break those or need to redirect links every time a new document goes up. Hello there, I have a business news website and the articles I would like free users to be able to read up to a certain point but if you want to read all the article you need to either be a customer already and log into your account or subscribe (for a small monthly fee) to be a full subscriber and then when you are logged in you can read all the content Very similar to what newspapers have such as WSJ and NYT when you can read the first paragraph but after that you need to log in (and be a paid subscriber) i cannot see if this is possible ? SS has passwords for pages etc but no option to add a block within a blog post that would create such as pop up or overlay box. could anyone advise? thank you in advance
  13. Hi, Does anybody know how to hide the tags on a blog post when using the "Foundry" theme? I've tried various custom css strings that I managed to find in other places of the forum, with no luck unfortunately. I'm guessing this was due to themes being varied, so they won't use the same class names etc, but it would be a big help if anybody is able to provide some support with this current issue, I'm not sure why somebody would want meta tags displayed publicly like that anyway, it makes the post look messy. Thanks in advance.
  14. The Wells template automatically hides the author of a blog post site-wide. However, I would like to display the author within each blog post, preferably using CSS instead of a summary block. I'm struggling to figure out how to target the author metatag in the Wells template to display it in each blog post. (There is also no option to tweak this in Site Styles.)   15. Hi,I used to host my podcast in squarespace, but recently I switched to podbean. When I was hosting it on squarespace the rss feed was created through audioblogs, resulting in blog-posts with seperate sites for each episodes. This came in handy for the google search function, because when you googled the name of my guest and "interview" the seperate blog-post page popped up immediately. It does not do so with the podbean site and that makes me wonder if it is possible to automatically create a blog post page from my external rss feed or through some other workaround. This would also help with google ads, because these sites could be the landing pages of specific ads. Thanks for help!Jan
  16. I feel like I must be missing something obvious, but I can't find a page about this on the help site. I've signed up for a reCAPTCHA v2, and have added the keys to my site, but I can't find any option to enable the reCAPTCHA on the comments box on my blog posts. The only instructions I can find are for adding it to a newsletter or form block, and I don't see equivalent options anywhere on the Blog page, including Blog settings and Comment settings. Can anyone give some advice? I'd like to have comments on my blog posts without inviting spam bots. Thank you!

  21. Hey All - On my site, I've created a custom post type for property listings, which has a field to upload an image called `listingPost`, as well as a field for an additional image gallery. I've also created collection templates (`listing.conf`, `listing.item`, `listing.list`), and have added at least one custom post to the system. Additionally, I've added `listingPost` to `systemCollections` in `template.conf`. I'm trying to add a carousel of the custom collection's images, but when I insert a carousel and hit "use existing gallery", it says there are no collections in the system. What gives? Please / thanks! πŸ™‚
