  1. Right now I am trying to recreate an old blog. However I am running into a lot of design problems. First of all it seems like on blog pages you cannot add blocks like you can on normal pages... you can only add posts, Before all the posts i wanted there to be a main paragraph... Not only that, I am not finding any way to edit the style of the posts on the blog list page. For example, I wanted the title to be first, the date to be underneath. Instead of "Read More ->" as text, i wanted it to be a button. There has got to be a way to do something as simple as this?! If i want these little style details am I going to have to make my blog list page as a normal page, and just link to each blog post page manually? Can I make these changes via custom CSS? Any input or advice would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance.
  2. I would like to change the font of my Blog Posts to a custom font. I have already added the font and am currently using it for my H1, but I don't know how to assign the custom font to blog titles. I was able to find two posts from Squarespace Answers addressing the issue, but when I navigate to the pages, it says they don't exist anymore. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
  3. What custom code can I add to squarespace to have the full day publish to a blog post? To look like this: WEDNESDAY, APR 29, 2020 on each blog post? This is what I have currently: APR 29, 2020
  4. In the Wexley template it seems to default to displaying the blog post title below the first image. Is there a way to swap them around so that the title is always the first thing shown, with the first image below it? Some templates have the option in Site Styles to move the meta data above or below the image but that doesn't seem to be possible in Wexley.
  5. Hi all, I'm just setting up my website and I'm wondering if there's a way to change the default blog article page layout? Right now it's just the nav - the blog section - footer. Ideally, I want the nav - the blog section - newsletter sign up box - footer. The only way to do it right now (hence why I'm asking the question) is to manually include the newsletter sign up box at the bottom of every blog I write. Which is not the biggest hassle but it would be way easier if I could just make a default blog article page and have it there as standard. Thanks in advance!
  6. I have been trying for days in CSS but cannot get the font in anything to change. I am trying to get the site title and the blog title headings on the home page to change. Here is what I have, but it seems to have no effect and I have tried several variations. TIA!!! @font-face { font-family: 'QUANTIFY'; src: url(https://static1.squarespace.com/static/5dfa8d8f3dca077a2e9c02d2/t/5dfab078f9cc2c0a444b03dc/1576710264403/Quantify.woff); } /* Custom Font - Site Title */ .site-title span { font-family: 'QUANTIFY' !important; } /* Custom Font - Header Main Navigation */ .main-nav * { font-family: 'QUANTIFY' !important; }
  7. Hi! Having trouble finding a CSS code to work for me in the Horizon template. I don't know CSS well, but I can copy & paste and follow directions! I've successfully removed headers and footers from pages before, but I'm unsure how to remove the title of the blog post from the blog page itself. For reference, the main page of our site has these photos that are a part of a blog gallery. When you click on one, it takes you to a blog post page. This was the only way I could figure out how to achieve the effect of the photo dimming and text appearing when hovering. So I click on "I LOVE MY UPSTAIRS NEIGHBOR" and it takes me to this page (a blog post): The goal is to remove that title header on THIS PAGE ABOVE so I can achieve this look BELOW (so I can customize where the title goes, after the main photo header): Hope that isn't too confusing! Thanks!
  8. Site URL: https://smilodon-ocelot-my5f.squarespace.com/blog/all-about-photo-merit-award Hi, How do I make my dates smaller in mobile view in my blog posts? (I thought I'd changed this in CSS already but can't find the code) passcode: trythis

  10. Site URL: https://pelican-chiton-xwy4.squarespace.com/blog/esferica-vision-cities-sustainability Hello, I've created 3 blog posts at the moment and I'd like to do a few adjustments that'd affect them globally instead of having to keep adding specific "#block numbers" to each section's page individually. For example, I'd like to add a "margin-bottom" to the first image (attached) so it doesn't overlap with the text below. I can of course do it targeting #block-2ebecb79d07fed4c41d9 but this wouldn't apply to the other 2 pages since the #blocknumbers keep on changing for each page. I would like my client being able to add a new Blog post with having to worry about the layout getting messed up across devices. Is there any way that I can make adjustments globally to all pages?? Thanks! Xavier
  11. Hi all, Does anyone know of Code or a Plugin that will allow me to reordering Blog Posts alphabetically, or randomly? Many thanks
  12. I'm trying to figure out how to add a custom font that will work in my Blog post's body content within a Text Block. I can only find advice on how to us custom font for a Blog post's title. I already have a custom font installed on my site's Custom CSS, set to H3, that works everywhere on my site except for the Blog. I'm using the Five template if that matters. Any help would be very appreciated, thanks in advance!
  13. Hello, I'm having trouble with my drop down menu hitting the titles on individual blog posts. Seems like it should be an easy fix, but I can't seem to figure out how to add space.
  14. The world of the Internet is changing every day. New strategies and approaches appear all the time, and anyone who creates a personality on the Internet is forced to constantly catch up with him. But there is one approach that began to gain momentum about three years ago, and it is still gaining momentum. In fact, it seems that on the basis of this single approach, more and more trends are being built to ensure that it remains at the center of the Internet world for years to come. I mean blogging, and this phenomenon is still gaining momentum. In addition, blogging platforms include more and more features that integrate blogs even deeper into the fabric of modern internet marketing. Between tags, trackbacks, and syndication, a blogger has everything he needs to create a massive online presence around the blog. The dramatic influx of bloggers in recent years has prompted more chronicle of their lives so that the whole world sees, and as a result, the total number of blogs has grown exponentially. The biggest problem for most bloggers is the lack of traffic. For a blog to bring any positive results, you need traffic, and it may be difficult for a new blogger to stand out from a huge sea of competitors. There are many things that bloggers can do to encourage people to visit their blogs, and this article will briefly cover three of them. The first need for a successful blog is regular posts, followed by good writing. I can share a good idea, I learned to write a lot and many of my friends turned to me “I need help in writing an essay” and I always helped and it gave me a very good experience, so try to take on any work in order to master writing skills anything. A blog that is updated once a week is not going to cut it; not in the modern world. Blogs that are noticed are active with frequent and well-designed posts. I think about it. People are there to read. They are there to gain access to someone else's life. It has a voyeuristic aspect, but the effect is lost when the reader’s view of the blogger is distorted by poor writing skills or poor grammar. The second thing a blogger needs to do to drive traffic to his blog is to register in all blog directories. Indeed, there are thousands of them, but a quick Google search on the word catalog of words will quickly give those directories that will attract the most traffic. I also included a list of the best blog directories on the TacticalExecution.com Links tab. Once registered, your blog becomes part of a huge community of bloggers, and traffic can be significant. The third thing bloggers need to do to get extra traffic is to join BlogRush. BlogRush is a syndication network where other related blogs are advertised on your blog and yours on them. The platform is free and operates on a syndicated loan system. By building traffic on your own blog, you earn credits to gain additional fame on other people's blogs. This is a great innovation in the blogging world, and you are strongly encouraged to sign up soon because future members who learn about BlogRush through your blog will become part of your referral network, which will increase traffic. Blogs are here to stay. Today there are blogs that receive over 700,000 unique visitors each month, and this provides countless other benefits for their creators. Creating a blog and informing the world about its existence is the first step towards creating your own audience. The three strategies listed above will go a long way towards starting the process. Good luck and happy blogging.
  15. Site URL: https://silva.xn--widstrm-f1a.se/ I get an email notification to myself when somebody comments in the blog. I am the owner of the site. A contributor with all relevant permission does not get any email. How do I change so he also get an email when a blogpost gets a new comment?
  16. Hi all I really like the ability to be able to tag and categories pages, but cannot do this in portfolio pages. If i use the Blog Post and strip of all blog features (time, author etc.) -will the negatively effect SEO? Thanks
  17. Site URL: https://stingray-cylinder-zztm.squarespace.com/ Hey! On the BRINE template, when you set up a gallery, items have a banner at the top where you can add an image and text. So when viewers view items in the gallery they can see the banner and text at the top of any gallery item they are looking at Working Example: https://stingray-cylinder-zztm.squarespace.com/videos?tag=Sayed%20Sadiq%20Shirazi Pass: temp123 But on the BRINE template, when setting up a blog, there is not way to have the banner with text at the top. Is there a way using code to add the same banner style and text to the top of blog posts. Here's an in example where the banner and text doesn't appear, please compare with the one above: https://stingray-cylinder-zztm.squarespace.com/trr/39mq93wi5ia258x0vgynt6svrsj0fm-absb2-egcf2 Pass: temp123 Kind regards!
  18. Site URL: https://www.counsellingtorontoteens.com/ Hey there, I'm using the Bedford template and, beside the main Blog I've created a Blog Page in which each team member is a post - so in other pages I can sort them by tags and update easily if they are taking clients and things. The thing is that, when the team member page opens, the thumbnail creates a huge banner image - which is good for the projects in the main blog, but terrible for the team members blog posts. Is there any way to toggle the banner image option off just for this specific blog-page or for specific posts through coding? In case it makes it easier to visualize, my website is the team members blog is https://www.counsellingtorontoteens.com/team-members/ Please help! I've tried a bunch of other custom CSS that I have found online but nothing seems to be doing the trick.
  19. Site URL: https://feelgoodsociety.fr/adresses Hello I have created a guide using a Blog page. As you will see on the URL, each "place" has its own blog post. I also added a map to localize the places, in the intro box (only place where i could add a map) and some filters at the top of the Blog box. Thus map and filters are "not in the same box." However it's not great in terms of UX. Right now I have map at the top, filters below, and then blog posts at the bottom. I would like to have my filters at the top and blog posts aligned with the map below - posts on the left, map on the right (like classpass UX - cf screenshot). I have tried to take out filters from the blog post but it didn't work. I have tried to create a map outside the intro box. Didn't work either... Does someone know how I can do that? Thanks a lot for your help. 🙏 Sophie
  20. Hi! My site has the Skye template currently implemented. The home page shows a series of each blog posts as tiles. It used to be that when I would share a specific blog post from the home page, the title of the post would show up as the Title for the Social Sharing. However, recently it now only uses the blog name itself regardless of what I put as the SEO Title Description when publishing. Is there a way to get this to say the intended title with this template? Not sure why it suddenly switched. I've attached images for how I have this set up. Thanks so much!!
  21. Site URL: http://www.jesushellin.com Hi, I want to hide the dated and social-like from the post in the blog using the flatiron template. And the post content would be center and 100% size on the page. How could I do it? Thanks,
  22. Hi, I added a blog post today and for some reason the latest post is at the bottom. Each other time it went to the top and I don’t see a setting anywhere to adjust this. any help? https://freeadultpornlist.com/category/indian-porn-tube-sites/
  23. Site URL: http://www.aquapup.com Hi, I'm wondering if there's a way to move the titles of my blog posts above the images for each of them (I'm using the avenue template)? Seems strange to have them below. Please let me know if anyone has a fairly straightforward code fix. Thank you!
  24. Site URL: https://theyogaroot.org/online-yoga-portal-blog Blogs in the Bedford template have massive margins (left & right) from the padding. Anyone have a code that could help with toggling the margin padding that shows up to the left and right of the blog posts? I've only found a code to remove all padding, or to reduce padding between posts. Ideally I would like about half of the padding margins, and if I had a code I could easily play with the numbers. Thank you so much!!!
  25. Site URL: https://bumblebee-koala-rze5.squarespace.com/ I have an another internal site. If I add any data on the site then I should be able to add the blog on squarespace site as well. For this, When a data/blog is added on my site, I'll call a REST API of squarespace site to add the blog. Is there any way we can do that? Are any such APIs available to add blogs? Hoping for quick response. Thanks.
