  1. Site URL: https://www.onekindcreative.com/podcast/katrinahopper How do I change the background of a section of a blog post (for every blog post). As you see in the attached images, I am wanting to have the top section be black background, and then when I get to the writeup, change the background color to light gray, then switch to white for a callout section. I do not know which or how to reference the same part of every blog post to give it a background of #x color
  2. Site URL: https://www.onekindcreative.com/podcast/katrinahopper How do I add Banner header image to an individual blog post? I want the header background image to be what I upload to the social media image for each blog post. I came across this on youtube: Unfortunately, his code and solution is for squarespace 7.1, and I am on 7.0. I attached examples of what I want it to look like for both desktop and mobile. Thank you for helping.
  3. Hi - I'm currently using the Pazari template and the blog feature. I'd like be able to change the body background on particular posts without impacting every other blog post. For example, I have a blog post titled "Website" with the slug "/portfolio/web" and I'd like to change the background of that post. Portfolio is the name of my blog set up. I assume I would also put this under the custom CSS section? Thanks!
  4. Hello, I'm building a site using Bedford. I set the site header to transparent. And I removed the header image on blog pages as I didn't like the design. I used this code for that: /* don't show thumbnail as banner image behind blog post title (hard to read) */ .collection-type-blog .banner-thumbnail-wrapper {display: none !important;} .collection-type-blog .entry-title {display: block !important;} But now I can't see the site header or navigation on a blog post page b/c it's white and the background is transparent. Is there any way to set the background color for the site header for blog posts only (including all future posts)? Or to change the color of the logo and navigation for blog posts only? Thanks!
  5. Site URL: https://www.bandjadvisors.com Hi! So my client has this current site: https://www.bandjadvisors.com. They like how the blog posts have the thumbnail image in the banner and the title is centered. I've redesigned them into this template: https://heptagon-dandelion-n3c5.squarespace.com. Password: bandj2020 How can I add the post thumbnail image into a banner and center the title on each post? Thanks!!!
  6. Is there anyway to bulk edit blog posts? One example would be to bulk edit the tags and categories for the posts. Thanks!
  7. Site URL: https://www.ensignestates.com/home Hi, I'm trying to remove the ability for users to click through on the Images within a Summary Block on my home page. I have found a previous CSS insert on a previous post but this did not work. They are for display purposes only and does not have any content attached. Any advice / help would be appreciated.
  8. Site URL: https://www.recaprabbithole.com/ I want the most recent 10 blog posts to come up on mobile, but only 8 to come up on the desktop version (as they do now - Its currently 8 on web and mobile). What CSS do I use to make this happen?
  9. Site URL: https://www.lilsuka.com/blog I am using limerick font which I have uploaded and for the current purpose of blog title have named the title of the font 'headlines'. I am looking to assign the font for the titles of the blogs on both the blog page with all blogs, as well as individual blog pages , however I am unsure of the code to put following this: @font-face { font-family: 'Headlines'; src: url('https://static1.squarespace.com/static/5e45d285ebd98d0f4311fd46/t/5ea3172c533b4342027058c2/1587746604281/Limerick-ExtraBold.ttf'); }
  10. Site URL: https://usualwines.com/blogs/knowledge-base/tannins-in-wine Hi there – Looking to have the "Thumbnail" of a blog entry display to the left of all content and not scroll. A few people have said it would be much better as a page, but really hoping it can be a blog – is this possible??
  11. Site URL: https://weearnmedia.com Hi! I feel like this should be easy and I've seen similar queries on the forum, but everything I'm trying isn't working. Simple, I would like to add some code to hide the featured thumbnail image on every single blogpost page on the site. When you visit-- you see a HUGE image of our podcast guests's face, and it's just not aesthetically pleasing at all. Would love to ideally hide it forever while maintaining the ability to have a thumbnail image (so that it populates our homepage). Any ideas? Example blogpost: https://www.weearnmedia.com/episodes/michelle-rafter (help me get rid of these GIANT images!)
  12. Site URL: https://www.recaprabbithole.com/ (this is at the bottom of my topics page on mobile) Link here: https://www.recaprabbithole.com/topics I like that the tags are different sizes based on their frequency. But they are way too big on mobile. How do I make them all smaller, while remaining different sizes relative one another based of the number of times that tag has come up? I would also like to center those tags then... I have tried this code: Its a good base size for the tags, but makes all of them the same size. 😞 Please help!
  13. Site URL: https://www.recaprabbithole.com/ https://www.recaprabbithole.com/ I would like the blog cover images (only) to stretch the full width of the phone such that there is no white space to the right of the blog pictures. See attached illustration. What CSS should I use?
  14. I'm playing with Schema markup over on Merkle ( https://technicalseo.com/tools/schema-markup-generator/ ), and I could SWEAR that we used to be able to add code to header injection on blog posts. But no longer finding it. (Am I crazy?)
  15. Site URL: https://www.recaprabbithole.com/ I would like the blog cover images (only) to stretch the full width of the phone such that there is no white space to the right of the blog pictures. See attached illustration. What CSS should I use? ------------------------------------------------------------ @paul2009 - I believe you are one of the best on here, I have followed your solutions on other CSS posts, and wonder if you might be able to help me. Thanks!
  16. I'm looking to have a blog post appear on my homepage but also under the subcategory. For reference, a perfect example of this is zenhabits.net. I've gone through the Live Chat help and they first suggested a 'summary box' but this is not what I'm after as I want the whole blog post to appear on the homepage - not just a summary of it. They also suggested 'embed'. I tried this but with no avail. Any help would be highly appreciated!
  17. Site URL: https://www.nightspeed.ca/ Hi, I am wondering how to edit the single-post pages of my blog site. I have used the page builders and custom CSS up until this point to build the majority of my site, bt for blog posts, clicking on them and going to the single page post, the design is not what I want it to be, but you are unable to edit any of the fonts and sizes of text on the page. The post title is using heading 1 which is way to big, as well as the [Next] and [Previous] posts at the bottom of the page are also too big. I would just like to edit the text sizes on the pages as well as re-design the layout a bit, but the single-post pages seem to be impossible to design. Password for the site is: 1234 Any help would be great! Thanks.
  18. Right now I am trying to recreate an old blog. However I am running into a lot of design problems. First of all it seems like on blog pages you cannot add blocks like you can on normal pages... you can only add posts, Before all the posts i wanted there to be a main paragraph... Not only that, I am not finding any way to edit the style of the posts on the blog list page. For example, I wanted the title to be first, the date to be underneath. Instead of "Read More ->" as text, i wanted it to be a button. There has got to be a way to do something as simple as this?! If i want these little style details am I going to have to make my blog list page as a normal page, and just link to each blog post page manually? Can I make these changes via custom CSS? Any input or advice would be much appreciated!Thanks in advance.
  19. I would like to change the font of my Blog Posts to a custom font. I have already added the font and am currently using it for my H1, but I don't know how to assign the custom font to blog titles. I was able to find two posts from Squarespace Answers addressing the issue, but when I navigate to the pages, it says they don't exist anymore. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
  20. What custom code can I add to squarespace to have the full day publish to a blog post? To look like this: WEDNESDAY, APR 29, 2020 on each blog post? This is what I have currently: APR 29, 2020
  21. In the Wexley template it seems to default to displaying the blog post title below the first image. Is there a way to swap them around so that the title is always the first thing shown, with the first image below it? Some templates have the option in Site Styles to move the meta data above or below the image but that doesn't seem to be possible in Wexley.
  22. Hi all, I'm just setting up my website and I'm wondering if there's a way to change the default blog article page layout? Right now it's just the nav - the blog section - footer. Ideally, I want the nav - the blog section - newsletter sign up box - footer. The only way to do it right now (hence why I'm asking the question) is to manually include the newsletter sign up box at the bottom of every blog I write. Which is not the biggest hassle but it would be way easier if I could just make a default blog article page and have it there as standard. Thanks in advance!
  23. I have been trying for days in CSS but cannot get the font in anything to change. I am trying to get the site title and the blog title headings on the home page to change. Here is what I have, but it seems to have no effect and I have tried several variations. TIA!!! @font-face { font-family: 'QUANTIFY'; src: url(https://static1.squarespace.com/static/5dfa8d8f3dca077a2e9c02d2/t/5dfab078f9cc2c0a444b03dc/1576710264403/Quantify.woff); } /* Custom Font - Site Title */ .site-title span { font-family: 'QUANTIFY' !important; } /* Custom Font - Header Main Navigation */ .main-nav * { font-family: 'QUANTIFY' !important; }
  24. Hi! Having trouble finding a CSS code to work for me in the Horizon template. I don't know CSS well, but I can copy & paste and follow directions! I've successfully removed headers and footers from pages before, but I'm unsure how to remove the title of the blog post from the blog page itself. For reference, the main page of our site has these photos that are a part of a blog gallery. When you click on one, it takes you to a blog post page. This was the only way I could figure out how to achieve the effect of the photo dimming and text appearing when hovering. So I click on "I LOVE MY UPSTAIRS NEIGHBOR" and it takes me to this page (a blog post): The goal is to remove that title header on THIS PAGE ABOVE so I can achieve this look BELOW (so I can customize where the title goes, after the main photo header): Hope that isn't too confusing! Thanks!
  25. Site URL: https://smilodon-ocelot-my5f.squarespace.com/blog/all-about-photo-merit-award Hi, How do I make my dates smaller in mobile view in my blog posts? (I thought I'd changed this in CSS already but can't find the code) passcode: trythis
