  1. Site URL: https://www.tiffanymardn.com/blog I would like to remove the blog title from my blogpost feed, but I can't seem to get it to work. I have tried plugging this into Design>Custom CSS with no success: h1.BlogItem-title { display: none; }
  2. Hi there, Newbie here! I would like to decrease the line spacing in the blog post titles. Attaching a screenshot of typical default scenario. Thank you! URL https://cube-swordfish-pexe.squarespace.com/
  3. Hello, In 7.2, the nav bar on blog pages must follow the same color theme as the blog's body. Sitewide we have black nav bar + white body with black text, pretty standard. Unfortunately on blog pages this means it's white body + white nav bar, and this is a problem because our logo is white so it's lost in the white nav bar. Tried this already to no avail: #collection-5ea0ceff2e2abb13b38daf00 .header-announcement-bar-wrapper { background-color: #000000; } I can puzzle my way through CSS but am at a loss right now. Please help! Thank you
  4. Site URL: https://www.grahamweaver.com/ On individual blog pages, I added code to make the text for previous and subsequent blog titles (basically the pagination at bottom of each blog post) change colors to our accent blue when the mouse hovers over the titles. It appears to be working just fine when the Custom CSS window is open, but for some reason the hover effect stops working after I close the CSS window on the left menu. See screen grabs for reference. All of my other code is working just fine. Any idea what the issue is here? Is it my code, or is it Squarespace? Would so appreciate insight on how to fix! Thank you!! 5. Site URL: https://coral-glockenspiel-gnra.squarespace.com/config/pages/5ede61786cfada14262cb30c Hello, Does anyone know how to remove the blog title navigation links at the bottom of a blog post please in 7.1 Thank you
  6. Hi All, I am trying to design/set up a blog page for my client and I am using a blog template on version 7.1. I can't seem to figure out how to get the thumbnail image to appear that corresponds to the blog post. As shown in the screenshot below (it's the first blog post in the list on the left, the rest are existing from the template) you can see the title of the post is there, but there's no image above (unlike the template's post next to it which has it's default landscape photo.) What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance for any help advice.
  7. Hello, I have successfully change the main blog summary page titles with h1.blog-title a {font-family: 'Bellota'} but when I click into any blog post from the summary page, the title is back to the previous font, are they different codes? Help. Thanks!
  8. Site URL: https://www.mayamukhopadhaya.com/work I can't find where to edit the size of the title headings for blog posts - either in the blog post itself or in the gallery view of all blog posts. As a result, the titles are larger than I would like. How can I edit the title size? I looked in Design as well as in the Edit options for the Blog. PW to site url: mayam
  9. Hey! Using this great resource from @tuanphan I have been able to figure out some simple CSS customizations, including hiding the pagination on blog posts using the code below. .item-pagination { display:none !important; } I thought I can replace .item-pagination with time.dt-published.blog-meta-item.blog-meta-item–date and .blog-meta-item.blog-meta-item–author.p-author.author to remove the Date and Author metadata respectively (location of which is outlined in the attached screenshot) but it doesn't seem to be working. It's worked flawlessly swapping out other class names but it's not working for these for some reasons. I know there is a toggle in the editor to remove these but that removes the metadata across the whole site, not just the blog that post is within (which is stupid that the settings don't just apply to that blog). I know how to correctly inject the code so it only applies to the pages I want, but I can't even get it to work in the sitewide Design>Custom CSS. The site is not published yet so I can't share the link but this should be easy to replicate on any site to test. You don't even have to save the Custom CSS to see the result. Does anyone have insight into what would need to be edited to the code above to get this to work? Is there any way to set it to have a higher priority than the toggle in the editor since it may be correct but just overrun by the built in settings? Could those classes be incorrect? Thanks!
  10. Site URL: https://www.r2rdigital.co.uk Hello! We're currently using the blog element of Squarespace to advertise job roles. What we're hoping to achieve is for the blog post to automatically delete/hide after a certain date - not sure if this is a CSS thing, but if anybody could point me in the right direction, it'd be greatly appreciated. I look forward to hearing from you and hope you all have a great day! Thanks in advance, Thomas
  11. Site URL: https://www.studiovertime.com/thoughts Hello! I'm trying to create a black and white to color rollover for blog post thumbnails (website very much under construction). I'm using this code that I found on another post in this forum: .no-touch .collection-5d7a891600952e518d49e751 .project-image { -webkit-filter: grayscale(100%); filter: grayscale(100%); &:hover, &:focus { -webkit-filter: grayscale(0%); filter: grayscale(0%); } } I've changed .collection...project-image to section[data-section-id="5ec00d59438c273bae2f3262"]. The rollover works, but because the selector is referencing a section (I'm assuming), the effect is applied to all of the blog posts at once instead of the individual blog post thumbnail. It also includes the text, and I don't want the text affected. Is there a way to do this so that the effect only occurs when rolling over a single blog post at a time? I hope this makes sense! Thank you!
  12. Site URL: http://www.erinsalmonwrites.com I have seen this question asked twice with no response, which is such a bummer! I have been working hard to design my website the way that I want it using the Rally template. There's only one thing at this point that I wish I could change, and it is holding me back from making my design live. I would love for the thumbnail image in my blog posts to be ABOVE the title and meta data. There's no way to adjust this in the site stiles, which is why I've come here to see if anyone has a bit of CSS that would make this change. TIA for your help. 🙂
  13. Site URL: https://www.recaprabbithole.com/recap/human-viruses MOBILE ONLY: This code from @tuanphan is excellent, but it only targets image blocks: /* make image fullwidth */ .blog-item-wrapper article.entry { padding-left: 0; padding-right: 0; } /* make spacing between text blocks - both side */ .blog-item-wrapper .sqs-layout>.row>.col>div:not(.image-block) { padding-left: 8vw; padding-right: 8vw; } html, body { overflow: hidden; } Page Link I want to make gallery blocks stretch full screen too. See screenshot, I want to make this gallery block also fullscreen like the image above:
  14. Site URL: https://www.recaprabbithole.com/recap/human-viruses I cant scroll on android phones. I am using some custom CSS, that @tuanphan helped create (thank you!), to make images stretch across the entire screen on my blog posts, here: @media screen and (max-width:767px) { /*This stretches the everything across the screen on the blog posts*/ /* make image fullwidth */ .blog-item-wrapper article.entry { padding-left: 0; padding-right: 0; } /* Add padding around text blocks, both sides, leaving out, image/gallery/embed - blocks */ .blog-item-wrapper .sqs-layout>.row>.col>div:not(.image-block, .gallery-block, .embed-block) { padding-left: 9vw; padding-right: 9vw; } /*This code fixes the iphone horizontal scrolling, but stops all scrolling on androids*/ html, body { overflow: hidden; } } I know the piece of code that is causing the issue: /*This code fixes the iphone horizontal scrolling, but stops all scrolling on androids*/ html, body { overflow: hidden; } But without this code above, the mobile site has a black bar on the right-hand side, allowing strange horizontal scrolling on iPhones, see attached video for issue without red code. How should I revise this code, to allow scrolling on android phones? @paul2009 Do you have any thoughts?
  15. Site URL: https://www.mayamukhopadhaya.com/work (pw = mayam) Hi there, I would like to be able to hide the headlines of each blog post in the blog grid view, while still having the headline present in the actual blog post. Is that possible in 7.1?
  16. Hi there – wondering if there is anyway to have the thumbnail that is uploaded to a blog post to display inside the blog in addiction to the grid page. Specifically looking to get it left aligned and take up 50% of the screen. site: https://tarantula-calliope-fl4m.squarespace.com/blogs/knowledge-base pass: squarespace current code – clearly not looking to have the same image on every blog so I'm looking for someone to replace the url with a thumbnail target... /* Blog Interior */ .blog-item-wrapper article.entry { padding-top: 0; padding-bottom: 0; background-image: url("https://static1.squarespace.com/static/5eb179d00c6aef0b9ed1bfaf/5eb29c388099026de92ca571/5ec9945e02f4af1d185a2ed1/1590287286817/usual_wines_temperature_1024x1024.jpeg"); background-repeat: no-repeat; background-size: 50%; }
  17. Hi there – Is there a way to put ".blog-item-title" between ".blog-meta-item--categories" & ".blog-item-author-date-wrapper"? site: https://tarantula-calliope-fl4m.squarespace.com/blogs/knowledge-base/wine-temperature-the-ideal-temperature-to-store-and-serve-wine pass: squarespace
  18. Squarespace used to allow posting a blog article via email. I can bring so many clients over from WP if I can just get this functionality back. Has anyone found/developed a work-around? I would love a plugin that would allow posting a blog article via email.

  21. Site URL: https://www.onekindcreative.com/podcast/katrinahopper How do I change the background of a section of a blog post (for every blog post). As you see in the attached images, I am wanting to have the top section be black background, and then when I get to the writeup, change the background color to light gray, then switch to white for a callout section. I do not know which or how to reference the same part of every blog post to give it a background of #x color
  22. Site URL: https://www.onekindcreative.com/podcast/katrinahopper How do I add Banner header image to an individual blog post? I want the header background image to be what I upload to the social media image for each blog post. I came across this on youtube: Unfortunately, his code and solution is for squarespace 7.1, and I am on 7.0. I attached examples of what I want it to look like for both desktop and mobile. Thank you for helping.
  23. Hi - I'm currently using the Pazari template and the blog feature. I'd like be able to change the body background on particular posts without impacting every other blog post. For example, I have a blog post titled "Website" with the slug "/portfolio/web" and I'd like to change the background of that post. Portfolio is the name of my blog set up. I assume I would also put this under the custom CSS section? Thanks!
  24. Hello, I'm building a site using Bedford. I set the site header to transparent. And I removed the header image on blog pages as I didn't like the design. I used this code for that: /* don't show thumbnail as banner image behind blog post title (hard to read) */ .collection-type-blog .banner-thumbnail-wrapper {display: none !important;} .collection-type-blog .entry-title {display: block !important;} But now I can't see the site header or navigation on a blog post page b/c it's white and the background is transparent. Is there any way to set the background color for the site header for blog posts only (including all future posts)? Or to change the color of the logo and navigation for blog posts only? Thanks!
