  1. Hi there, I’m wondering there is a code that i can use to change the font size of the word “preview” which is next to send on blog comments. Have searched but found no answer and can’t seem to be able to edit using site styles Thanks
  2. Site URL: http://alextreadway.co.uk/journal Is there a way to add some space left of date/line on blog page so it lines up with the logo above? Thanks for the help!
  3. Site URL: http://alextreadway.co.uk/journal Anyone know how to hide the 'Share' button under the date on blog pages? I'm using Flatiron. Thanks!
  4. Site URL: https://launcherspace.com/updates-2 I'm trying to create a news/updates page that links out to other website pages. The title of each blog post already does that but I don't want there to be a blog post that can actually be looked at, so I want to disable the thumbnail from bringing you to a blog post. Thanks! Password to that page is launch.
  5. Site URL: https://www.foreverclassicgames.com/ Hi all! We are working on a theme transfer to utilize some of the new author block features so that our writers get more exposure on their work. However, the new site removes functionality that I think really should be an option so I'm looking for a way to re-enable it. Attached is an example, but I want the old editing window back for posts. With the old system, I could quickly create content, attach tags, socials, scheduling, all in one location but with the new system there are additional steps that just feels messy. I imagine we'll have to inject code somewhere to get this back but I've also asked Squarespace staff to relay our thoughts on removing this function so hopefully it will return. Any help would be appreciated.
  6. We have a question regarding the uploading and organising of information for our 'business directory' on our website. We have a spreadsheet with all the details (name, type, address, number, opening hours etc) for businesses in our area and would like to use this to create a local 'Traders Directory' for users to search on our website. The Traders will be organised into : Type (Categories) - eg. Baker, Bank, Dry Cleaner etc Description (Tags) - eg. Open Late, Delivery, Vegetarian etc Also - by 'Good Trader' - ie. those businesses that we would recommend and 'All Traders' which would be a general directory for everyone else. We are not sure how best to organise this information on the back-end of the website. Currently we have used Blog posts for each individual business (see example below) , but are finding it difficult to manage this information (there will be close to 300 individual businesses). For the users, the Categories and Tags will make it easier to navigate and search the different businesses, but for us, organising this via the Content Management System is laborious and difficult to organise. Ideally, we'd like to upload our existing Excel database to Square Space, but understand that's not possible? If we have no option but to create individual business /traders as stand alone blog posts on the Blog Management Page, these will just appear all together and will be difficult for us to organise (ie. no folders etc). Currently there are only 4 posts, but when there are 300+ businesses it will be much harder to manage and update. What would you suggest?! Thanks
  7. Site URL: https://www.augmentum.com.au/articles-list Hi am trying to change the layout of the blog posts on my website. Currently I have all the blogs on one page, with category buttons to take people to different topics. However I have over 30 blogs so they are not all displayed. I would like to have a specific article drop down menu on the navigation bar to allow people to click on the topic of interest and then be taken to a page with a summary block displaying all the articles on that topic. I already have all of these articles written - is there a way to do this without changing the URLs of the articles and breaking the links? I'm trying to avoid setting up a redirect. Thanks for your help!
  8. Site URL: http://alextreadway.co.uk/journal So I can change the font for everything on my site in CSS all except the date on the blog pages (http://alextreadway.co.uk/journal) – Any ideas anyone?
  9. I am wondering if there is a way to create a side menu that would pull the titles of each blog post. Either at the top of a page or on the side. I know I could manually build links to each blog post page, but I'm wondering if there's a way to do it automatically.
  10. I'm creating blog posts and I would like to put images in middle of different text boxes, but when I add the photos they are too big. I try to change the size by adding a spacer and dragging it next to the photo, and this is effective but also moves the text to the side as well. If there a way to resize the photo in another way or make the spacers only apply to the photos? I really wish squarespace had a more intuitive system for resizing photos.
  11. Site URL: https://leopard-caper-lh48.squarespace.com Hi, I'm wanting to add individualised headers to category pages, so on the 'Articles' category page, it says 'Articles' at the top. I know I could create new pages with summary blocks which could replicate category pages (and add in my own header on each of them) but I want the menu links to take you to the same page that you go if you click on the categories as they appear in the article Meta. The article linked below has a similar problem, but having tried it, I think it's a 7.0 site with a dedicated site header. My site is https://leopard-caper-lh48.squarespace.com with the password 'Austen'. Any thoughts I'd be very grateful!
  12. Hi All, I am working in 7.1 redesigning my website. Loving the platform so far. (My site is still on the trial platform while I finish it so couldn't share a URL - Screenshots attached) However I am running into an issue on the blog page, where my meta-data is displaying all funky - and no matter what I do in the edit block/styles, I cant seem to get it to look how I want. The divider/delimiter has this weird oversized comma, when I'm trying to choose pipe, or nothing at all from the menu - the change wont take. Also the line height for the meta data doesn't seem to respond to the changes made in the style editor so its super tall creating this funky situation. It almost seems like a bug. On the blog pages itself, it looks perfect. Is there a way to fix this in CSS?
  13. Site URL: https://lokalamico.com/wolfgang-vienna-host Hi, I followed this tutorial on how to create a testimonial slider via summary block. Client wants to know if is it possible to automatically put a "Read More..." toggle for long reviews or text that exceed a defined number of characters? It is added via blog settings below Password to the URL provided is mmmm1234 Thanks!
  14. Site URL: https://fintech.caspianone.com/vacancies Hi people - can I request help please; I'm currently listing job vacancies on our SS site, utilising it's blogging facility. I want to add an option for visitors to sign up to job alerts (aka register for emails when new 'blogs' are published). The newsletter block will allow me to gain blog subscribers - but, it's limited in that, visitors will receive every post we publish (making it less personalised to individual preferences). I'd like to make it so that a visitor can subscribe to job alerts/the blog, but only receive select posts related to a specific category (or tag, if easier to setup). So for example, a visitor could subscribe to only receive email alerts when new Java Developer jobs are posted with the category 'Java' - instead of just receiving all vacancy posts we publish. Any advice? Thanks in advance!
  15. Site URL: https://kanal.squarespace.com/articles/landscape-design-concept-michel-designe The link to "Sales Office" in the footer works fine except in the footer on a blog post, i would think there is one footer or all? Thank you for any help on this https://kanal.squarespace.com/articles/landscape-design-concept-michel-designe
  16. Site URL: https://www.anamariaolivan.com/ Hello Community, I migrated the old website of a customer to squarespace. We created a new blog using her existing blog posts, but the url format in the squarespace is different. She had many of these posts on her linkedin feed, and now the old links don´t work. Is there a way to redirect the old links to the new ones? Sorry if this has been asked before but I was´t sure how to find it. Thanks!
  17. I am working on a blog that will have multiple posts a day. Is there a way to show the time that post was made?
  18. Site URL: https://kanal.squarespace.com/insight Circle Member 7 Posted 3 minutes ago Site URL: https://kanal.squarespace.com/insight We created a blog for our project where we want to give more in depth information with longreads, interviews etc. on design process and choices of the architecture etc. I have the impression that the navigation possibilities for 7.1. are very limited I would think a navigation trough Now the categories are shown above a post and when clicked visitors get an overview of other posts. I find this a bit confusing and doubt many people will understand how this works and don't think that visitors will use it that way. Plugins where a sidebar just shown with some subscription and extra info don't seem very useful either (we don't have the ambition to create a newsletter or anything). The blog should function more as an overview of different information types to give the visitor more in depth insights in the project. Did we maybe choose to use a blog or something it is not intended for? Or should we use some code injection below every post Not really a coder so all kind of useful code snippets are more than welcome. All feedback on the site is appreciated. kind regards Bram

  20. Hi, I'm trying to reorder categories in Hebrew and I'm getting a nice big mess. The order now is correct (read rtl), however all the categories appear in line with no spaces. Here is the code: /* Change order parashot */ /* flex on desktop */ @media screen and (min-width:641px) { ul { display: flex; justify-content: right; } } /* bereshit */ li.archive-group:nth-child(1){ order: 1; } /* nochah */ li.archive-group:nth-child(11) { order: 2; } /* lechi-lach */ li.archive-group:nth-child(9) { order: 3; } /* vatera */ li.archive-group:nth-child(5) { order: 4; } /* chayei sahar*/ li.archive-group:nth-child(8) { order: 5; } /* toldot */ li.archive-group:nth-child(12) { order: 6; } /* v’tetze */ li.archive-group:nth-child(4) { order: 7; } /* v’tishlach */ li.archive-group:nth-child(7) { order: 8; } /* v’teshev */ li.archive-group:nth-child(6) { order: 9; } /* miketz */ li.archive-group:nth-child(10) { order: 10; } /* v’tigash */ .archive-group:nth-child(2) { order: 11; } /* v’techi */ .archive-group:nth-child(3) { order: 12; }
  21. Site URL: https://elephant-maracas-d6ne.squarespace.com/ hey there, I've tried to apply custom fonts to the blog headers on my site but the custom coding below isn't working. See picture attached. Password: Letmein Both of these haven't worked: .blog-item-title h1 {font-family:'SpectralSemi';} .blog-item-title h1 { font-family: 'SpectralSemi' !important; }
  22. Site URL: https://chcckpt.org/news My first post here...I am using the HAYDEN template. I've found how to remove the post date from a blog when it is displayed on my website. However, I'm unable to find how to remove the post date from the FEED (which is going to an app). When the blog is displayed on the app it shows the post date. Any tips?
  23. Hi, Can anyone let me know or point me to a page that clearly outlines how many tags and categories can be created? Is it unlimited? I have tried looking up several pages and none have given any definitive answers. Thanks.
  24. Site URL: https://www.homelessunlimited.com Hi, everyone! This is my first post to the forum. Thanks for your time. My site is geared towards casting some light on my homelessness for the purposes of fundraising, and some broader, long-term goals. I've got some ideas on how I would like to improve site readability, though I want a set of first impressions before I ask for help on implementing any changes. For reasons linked to my homelessness (primarily time cost), the amount of content I've contributed to my blog has been a little sub-par. The changes I've been thinking of are essentially navigation. Tag-based filter, and date-based sorting. These are pretty simple, I think, yet before I go ahead with any changes, I'd like your impressions. Primarily, what would make the site more easy to understand, and in what way I can most easily convey the complexity of my situation. I am open to your recommendations, advice, and constructive criticism. The site is a work in progress, so please keep that in mind as you browse. I am happy to answer any questions you might have. Thanks again for your time! Chris
