  1. Hi there Does anyone know how to remove a content block from a page which has been set up with a background image? I created a 404 page for my site but I can't seem to remove the white strip caused by a content block and our friends at Squarespace have confirmed it requires css to remove. You can find the example here >> https://www.toserve.co/question Any help would be gratefully received! Cheers!
  2. So for the past couple days I've noticed typos that I have fixed and saved have been coming back. I've fixed the same typo at least three times. Today I noticed on two pages text blocks have been swapped around when I haven't moved any of the blocks on those pages. Is squarespace glitching out?
  3. My template is Nuevo. My website is homecomfortsolutionsboise.com Password: Mnbb77 On the home page I currently have 3 image blocks in a row with three text blocks in two rows underneath (3 columns, 2 rows) What I'm planning: put 3 additional images in a row between the rows of text.. This will be really straightforward on a desktop... however currently when I look at the mobile preview, the order of things is mixed up. The smaller screen causes squarespace to create a single column format which is great, but the order is messed up. It shows things in order based on the columns (one image, the text blocks underneath, the next image, textblocks underneath, etc.) I'd like to order it like so: First image, second image, third image. Then, I'd like it to order by column. Anyone know how to reorder these blocks for mobile devices? Thanks ahead of time! Your expertise and advice is greatly appreciated!
  4. I've been able to align the header title and description to the left and used a max-width of 50% to keep the text only on the left of the block but in trying to align the email form and submit button to float to the right beside the text it doesn't work. On further inspection I realized that even though the max-width is set to 50% the header title and description space still occupies the entire newsletter block. Is there a CSS workaround to achieve the layout that I want? I'm at my wits end and super frustrated at this point.
  5. I managed to get a border around the image block for poster, but I can't figure out how to get the border only around the image for the inline-block. Any thoughts from CSS wizards? .sqs-block-image .image-block-outer-wrapper:not(.image-block-v2) .intrinsic { border: 1px solid #eeecec; padding: 0px; overflow: visible; } http://chriszyu.com/
  6. Here's my website and password:homecomfortsolutionsboise.comMnbb77 On the front page under "Our Services" I have three images in a row with borders around them I created with CSS code. I'm now trying to align these images so that the borders connect and it looks nice and neat. The text doesn't take up an equal amount of lines, so it's offset. I've tried using spacers and even tried using code to change the minimum size of spacers to combat this problem, but it's not quite perfect and the bottom of the borders still won't extend down far enough on the images with text that takes up less lines. Maybe I can add something to the code I used to create the borders? Here's what that looks like: Any suggestions or ideas? Thank you!
  7. I want to make a landing page and remove unnecessary footer and header. I had success in removing footer and the footer blocks bottom and top but I cannot remove the footer navigation links. I don't know what I should do. I tried footer-navigation, footer-blocks--navigation, navigation all in front of {display:none !important;} (I am using the foster template)
  8. Newsletter block inset is too big for mobile devises. How can I reduce this?
  9. I recently added a code block to the top of select sections in my Mojave template in order to add a "section" to my primary navigation menu. I'm using only one index page and multiple sections to create a long scrolling website. The issue I have is that the code is visible on the pages and I want to hide it. How can I do this? PS:making the body text overlay transparent would work; however, it also makes the body text on other pages transparent which I do not want to happen. Perhaps a CSS to make body overlay transparent on select pages only? Please help.
  10. I have used the following CSS to add a rollover effect on any image with a link, although it does not work when an image is changed to a poster. Does anyone know the fix for this? Any help would be greatly appreciated! a:link img { opacity: 1.0; filter: alpha(opacity=100); } a:hover img { opacity: 0.8; filter: alpha(opacity=80); } example: www.reverogroup.com/test
  11. In the editor, my website shows the summary blocks on the right side stacked like it should be, but when I go to the actual webpage, it will show up at the bottom stacked. I have a feeling it has to do with the code I've entered in the page content, but I am not sure. https://tcuacademicadmin.squarespace.com/faq and https://tcuacademicadmin.squarespace.com/culture for comparison Please help if you can.
  12. Website: https://vibraphone-plantain-39ts.squarespace.com/media On the Media page, the blocks are meant to be read left to right, however on mobile view this is changed from top to bottom of the first column, then top to bottom of the second column. I am looking for the CSS to change the mobile view to: Block 1 Text 1 (Garden House) Block 2 Text 2 (Road House) Block 3 Text 3 (Road House) Block 4 Text 4 (Road House) Block 5 Text 5 (Hideout House) Any assistance here would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
  13. I am trying to decrease the amount of padding in between two image blocks so they touch each other. What custom CSS should I be using? I have the Mojave template for reference.
  14. I know you could connect your acuity to your site for booking, but I don't like the layout of that, and I want everything to be on one site. with acuity you just get directed back to acuity. I seen someone with this layout twice, is it on a website other than squarespace ? can it be done on squarespace ? its used to make bookings easier any help at all would be so helpful thanks
  15. I am trying to include an embedded affiliate image to my client's website as her work was featured on a blog. Using Brine template. I have tried implementing the code via Markdown and a Code block. I am having an issue reducing the padding around the image itself as seen in the screenshot below. I can't seem to get it centered in the markdown block. I am wanting the embedded image and the image block next to it to be the same size and sit nicely next to each other. Best way to do this? I am still learning code and have nearly pulled my hair out trying this!! Also want this adjusted for mobile view. Website: http://www.elizabethmckenzieflorals.com Password: flowers Specific Page: Services Index, "Features" page Any help is appreciated!!!!!!
  16. Hi there, I am building a website for a client using Brine template (https://www.hemeez.com/, password: hemeez_salgado). They want the blocks underneath the main banner to be full bleed, like the main banner. I am using the following code: <style> .content-inner { max-width: 100% !important; padding: 0 !important; margin: 0; } .collection-type-index .content-inner.has-content { padding: 0px !important; margin: 0; } .sqs-block.image-block { padding:0 !important; margin: 0 !important} .sqs-gallery-block-slideshow .sqs-gallery, .sqs-gallery-block-slideshow .sqs-gallery .slide ratio { max-height: 550px !important; } } </style> I like how the images are looking at the top, but how can I manage to expand the 2 images without overlapping? Also, is it possible to manipulate only the two block immediately after the main banner and not the rest of the image blocks through the website? Thanks in advance for your help!
  17. Memberful is the most popular membership plugin for websites but cannot be used properly with Squarespace. There are three dedicated membership 'plugins' that supposedly work with Squarespace: Square Secure, Sentry Login, and GoPaywall. I have used GoPaywall and it is very good looking - it integrates well. But there doesn't seem to be a way for users to cancel their account (hopefully this feature will be introduced as GoPaywall is a new company). Square Secure and Sentry Login both have sort of unattractive websites - which has put me off a little - but obviously the important thing is the product. So I'd like to ask if anyone has experience with any of these companies - can you please let me know of your experience. Honestly as much as I really appreciate everything Squarespace has done for me - they could have introduced an in-house membership solution a LONG time ago.
  18. I'm trying to change the appearance of my blockquotes. I'm using this CSS: blockquote { width: 90%; border-color: #ef420d; border-width: 5px 5px 5px 5px; border-style: solid solid solid solid; padding: 5px 5px 5px 5px; background-color: #eee; } But only the width: 90% line is having any effect. The rest of the blockquote appearance is unchanged. What am I doing wrong?
  19. When I create a block, the block is transparent so all of my text/content sits on top of my background which is a problem as my background goes between dark and very bright. I was wondering if there was a way to add colour to a block to make it a physical box of one colour which my text would sit in and be far easier to read. Thanks for reading. Moax Lycan
  20. Hi! Can I change the background color of my Instagram block on my home page? http://jangendahllilja.com/ I'd like to have a light grey background color on the Instagram block, to separate it from the other blocks on the home page. Similar to the one on the bottom of this page: http://jasminestar.com/blog/. I am CSS illiterate. Any help much appreciated. Many thanks!
  21. I'm looking to to add a colored square around blocks of text to act as a border for those sections. Is there any custom CSS/MarkDown script that could achieve this? If possible, it would be great to have this happen around multiple blocks as well (for pairing a description with a video, etc). Thanks.
