  1. Site URL: https://www.martapahino.com Hey everyone, I’m on the Bedford template and trying to do something that I think shouldn’t be too difficult via custom CSS, but I can’t find the right code. I have a gallery block below the opening banner (screenshot attached), and I’d like to remove some of the gallery’s padding (i.e., remove some of the space between the banner and the gallery). What code should I be using, and should I use it directly on the home page’s advanced settings, or via the overall style/custom CSS page? Thanks in advance! Marta
  2. Hello! I am trying to remove extra space from my custom testimonial index section. As you can see in the image there is a lot of space above and below, is there custom code I can place to fix this? the slug for the page is testimonials-1
  3. Site URL: http://whitleyadkins.com/blog I'd like to utilize more space for the blog content since I'm not using the sidebars. I'm having trouble coding this to only affect the desktop view, so that the mobile views of the blog remain the same as they currently look.
  4. I wrote a blog piece for Seal Beach The problem I'm having is that the code block and image blocks have an indent to the right. How do I remove the float right by using CSS? I want to do this site wide.
  5. Site URL: https://pufferfish-porpoise-7ata.squarespace.com/ I am using the Bedford template and when I have changed the body background color, it changes it the the same on every page. How do I change the background color of only one page in squarespace? I have tried with various custom codes/css without any luck. I am new to Squarespace so I am probably just being a novice 😕 🙂 Link to page: https://pufferfish-porpoise-7ata.squarespace.com/ And the password to get access to my site is: Userfriendly Thanking you in advance.
  6. Site URL: https://www.camphebron.org/ Hello -- I have client that has a banner image on their home page that they do not want re-sized when going between desktop and mobile. https://www.camphebron.org/ Thanks for assistance!
  7. Hi - I'm VERY new to coding and CSS I would like to resize the title in my blog posts. It's currently set as Header 1. I want all the same features of Header 1 however I want to lower the font size to 40px instead of 100px.
  8. Site URL: https://www.wethewell.co Hi, I am currently on the Bedford Template. I have implemented the following code to allow the transparent fixed header at a larger height, but I am needing to have my fixed header turn white or background color when I scroll past the banner. How can I do this? (Site password: scocreativeclient) Current Code in Custom CSS- header#header { position: fixed !important;} #logoImage img { height: 125px !important; max-height: 100%; } .transparent-header.view-list .banner-thumbnail-wrapper, .transparent-header.collection-type-page .banner-thumbnail-wrapper { padding: 100px 0 200px; }
  9. Site URL: https://www.windsorcharteracademy.org We need help adjusting our banner on our homepage. In the previous version of our homepage, the padding around our banner was not an issue. With this new banner, the white space above and below is too large. We would like to reduce the padding at the top (between the navigation pane and banner photo) and the bottom (between the banner photo and the beginning of the page text). Any advice is appreciated! www.windsorcharteracademy.org
  10. Site URL: https://www.onlinekarma.ch/ It would be great if you could enable Ajax Loading (asynchronous JavaScript and XML) aka. Lazy Loading for the Bedford Template. Are there plans to implement this? It would help for page-speed and thus SEO. Thank you.
  11. Site URL: https://sodascarf.com/ Hello! I'm using the bedford template which has a caption on top of the main banner that is based on the SEO description for my site. The text is resizable for desktop and tablet versions via the style editor, but it doesn't seem to work for mobile. I've been doing a lot of looking around online but I can't seem to get it right. I'd love any help on getting the banner text to be larger on mobile devices only, thank you!!
  12. Right now I am trying to recreate an old blog. However I am running into a lot of design problems. First of all it seems like on blog pages you cannot add blocks like you can on normal pages... you can only add posts, Before all the posts i wanted there to be a main paragraph... Not only that, I am not finding any way to edit the style of the posts on the blog list page. For example, I wanted the title to be first, the date to be underneath. Instead of "Read More ->" as text, i wanted it to be a button. There has got to be a way to do something as simple as this?! If i want these little style details am I going to have to make my blog list page as a normal page, and just link to each blog post page manually? Can I make these changes via custom CSS? Any input or advice would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance.
  13. Good afternoon, I have been attempting to increase the logo image size for the mobile view. I have tried several different methods found in the forums, such as the one included below: @media only screen and (max-width: 640px) { #logo { height: 100% !important; max-height: 100% !important; width: auto; max-width: 100% !important; } } The website is: ubcontractor.com I am using the Bedford Template. Would greatly appreciate any help. Thank you so much.
  14. Hi all, I am creating a page about case studies, which follows the style of the blog in the bedform family. We have a custom head banner for each study and when I combine it with the post title, the post title appear in the head banner. I do not need the post title in the head banner, as it does not fit our style and I am using it as H1 anyway. How can I make the post title disappear with custom CSS (either by making the font to 0 or hidding it completely)? Thank you for your help :)
  15. Site URL: https://blog.lifestart.net We're updating our template to Bedford but we have one big issue we want to resolve before going live. On the blog posts, we use images with text as our thumbnail image so we want to remove the title across the banner but keep the thumbnail image across the banner. What code can I inject and where?
  16. Site URL: https://www.jetsetjourneys.com/luxury-for-less/south-african-big-five-safaris-on-a-budget Is there code that will swap the little 'Share' button at the bottom of blogposts in Bedford Template to a list of Social Sharing logos with relevant links? I want to show the Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, etc, logos with 'Click here to share' written above it so that it's much more prominent on the page.
  17. Site URL: https://www.johnsongillies.co.uk/ Hi there, I am currently running the Bedford template with an injected code to keep the header fixed. The code is as follows: header { position: fixed !important; width: 100% !important; } Unfortunately regardless of this code being used or not, I am having issues with mobile view, specifically mobile view when using the navigation menu from the homepage. The menu will pop out when clicked and will show the tail end of this script: .transparent-header.view-list .banner-thumbnail-wrapper, .transparent-header.collection-type-page .banner-thumbnail-wrapper{ padding: 180px 0 155px; } This only occurs on the homepage and the site works perfectly fine elsewhere. I have tried removing any CSS code as well as changing the template to a different one and back to Bedford, however this has made no effect. If someone could take a look for me that would be hugely appreciated! Kind regards, George
  18. Site URL: https://www.waldorfdupage.org/blog Hello! I am a parent volunteer who set up the website for my kids' school. I was updating some things and went into the blog section and realized that the page is doing some really funny things. The titles of the blog posts are gone, and I can see one (the first title/post) floating at the bottom of the page. And when I click on a blog post, the date will move down the page as well. I don't know how this happened and I am trying to see if anyone else has had this issue, or if you know what happened. I included the link to the page so you can see what I am talking about. And here is a blog post link as well: https://www.waldorfdupage.org/blog/2018/10/7/why-waldorf Thanks for your help!
  19. Site URL: https://www.counsellingtorontoteens.com/ Hey there, I'm using the Bedford template and, beside the main Blog I've created a Blog Page in which each team member is a post - so in other pages I can sort them by tags and update easily if they are taking clients and things. The thing is that, when the team member page opens, the thumbnail creates a huge banner image - which is good for the projects in the main blog, but terrible for the team members blog posts. Is there any way to toggle the banner image option off just for this specific blog-page or for specific posts through coding? In case it makes it easier to visualize, my website is the team members blog is https://www.counsellingtorontoteens.com/team-members/ Please help! I've tried a bunch of other custom CSS that I have found online but nothing seems to be doing the trick.
  20. Hi All, I am struggling with Parallax on mobile and I wanted to know if there is a line of code I can insert in the header code injection that will enable me to keep the effect on desktop versions of the site. Site in question : www.nicolebarton.co.ukSite Style: Bedford You can see on the mobile version I am getting bars appear on the top / bottom when viewed in the mobile format. I have copied my Parallax code below, which sits in Settings>Advanced>Code Injection <!-- Parallax --> <script src="https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/rellax/1.6.2/rellax.min.js"></script> <script> document.addEventListener('DOMContentLoaded', function() { var targets = '.banner-thumbnail-wrapper #thumbnail img, .index-section #thumbnail img, .index-section:first-child .slide .thumb-image'; if (document.querySelector(targets)) { var rellax = new Rellax(targets, { speed: -3, center: true }); } }); </script> <!-- end Parallax --> Ideally this would be a few lines of code at the end that states if a page is 640px wide then it will disable this particular piece of code. Any help greatly appreciated!
  21. Hello, I'm looking for help with getting a border on the bottom of my banner pictures on every page. I have a used the border for the bottom of the header to butt up against the images, but want to match it on the bottom side. I was using in the custom css but can't seem to find how to add that to apply to the banners. Thanks for any assistance!
  22. Hello I'm really attempting to use a lightbox for gallery set of images. I understand that I can apparently only use a grid gallery to have the images come up in a lightbox when clicked(otherwise I'd love to use a slideshow gallery with no thumbnails). I'm trying to not have too many images on the page so what I'd really like is to only have 1 image to where when it's clicked it goes to the lightbox where you can scroll through this set of images. I'm not having much luck figuring out if there's a way for me to have a single display. I see there is a settings for rows in the settings for the gallery, is there a custom css I could use to limit to only 1 column as well? That way visitors can just click on one image and it'll open up a lightboxed gallery. Thanks for any help anyone can offer!
  23. Site URL: https://www.nearcreative.co i'd like to make all the logos in the slideshow section even in terms of size and spacing. could someone help with the code? :) nearcreative.co
  24. Hi all, My site if forallhumankind.com I am currently using bedford as my template. Which I like, but I think it takes to long to view my projects. Is there a template you recommend. And would it be easy to transfer from Bedford to it. Thanks! rob
  25. Hi all. I have used the code quoted below to allow me to add a gallery to the header of my Bedford Template homepage, but am unhappy with the way the images dim as a result. I have attached a screenshot just to illustrate the difference moving the gallery from the main body of the page to the header makes. Does anybody have any ideas if I can code my way out of this one?
