  1. Site URL: https://oval-buffalo-n69g.squarespace.com/home-1 I'm creating a split layout in the bedford theme and almost got it, but there's this odd spacing between the image and card itself I can't seem to get rid of. I've eliminated top and bottom padding, made the blocks full screen, but there's a gap between the image and text even though I'm using an image card. This is the code I'm using: //#** Index Split Layout**// #what-we-do-index.index-section, #services-index.index-section, #testimonials-index.index-section, #team-index.index-section { .index-section-wrapper { padding: 0px!important; max-width: 100%!important; .sqs-block { padding: 0px!important; } .image-inset.content-fit { height: 100% } .design-layout-card img { height: 100%!important; object-fit: cover; -o-object-fit: cover; } @media screen and (max-width: 640px) { .sqs-block-image .design-layout-card:not(.sqs-narrow-width) { display: block; } .sqs-block-image .design-layout-card:not(.sqs-narrow-width)>div:first-child { width: 100%; } .sqs-block-image .design-layout-card:not(.sqs-narrow-width) .image-card-wrapper { position: relative; width: 100%; }}}} Site: https://oval-buffalo-n69g.squarespace.com/home-1 Password: rebuild Your insight is appreciated.

  3. Hi all, I am using the Bedford template but I found some issue that I cannot change the text alignment of the headline. Currently, it is just centered but I heard it does need any custom code for this (I am not programmer). Can you help me how to do it in this case?
  4. I love the full bleed image landing page of Bedford that can scroll down to reveal text. As a photographer I want the gallery to be outstanding that also allows captions. Wells is the best exampe of this. Is there a custom code that would allow me to combine both Bedford landing page with Wells gallery?
  5. Site URL: http://itstheverse.com Currently using bedford right now on my site. When a title is too long, my banner will place a "..." and shorten the title. Is there any easy CSS i can use so that my main blog banner shows the full post title? See screenshot for an example.
  6. Site URL: https://www.martapahino.com Hey everyone, I’m on the Bedford template and trying to do something that I think shouldn’t be too difficult via custom CSS, but I can’t find the right code. I have a gallery block below the opening banner (screenshot attached), and I’d like to remove some of the gallery’s padding (i.e., remove some of the space between the banner and the gallery). What code should I be using, and should I use it directly on the home page’s advanced settings, or via the overall style/custom CSS page? Thanks in advance! Marta

(Site password: scocreativeclient) Current Code in Custom CSS- header#header { position: fixed !important;} #logoImage img { height: 125px !important; max-height: 100%; } .transparent-header.view-list .banner-thumbnail-wrapper, .transparent-header.collection-type-page .banner-thumbnail-wrapper { padding: 100px 0 200px; }
  14. Site URL: https://www.windsorcharteracademy.org We need help adjusting our banner on our homepage. In the previous version of our homepage, the padding around our banner was not an issue. With this new banner, the white space above and below is too large. We would like to reduce the padding at the top (between the navigation pane and banner photo) and the bottom (between the banner photo and the beginning of the page text). Any advice is appreciated! www.windsorcharteracademy.org
  15. Site URL: https://www.onlinekarma.ch/ It would be great if you could enable Ajax Loading (asynchronous JavaScript and XML) aka. Lazy Loading for the Bedford Template. Are there plans to implement this? It would help for page-speed and thus SEO. Thank you.
  16. Site URL: https://sodascarf.com/ Hello! I'm using the bedford template which has a caption on top of the main banner that is based on the SEO description for my site. The text is resizable for desktop and tablet versions via the style editor, but it doesn't seem to work for mobile. I've been doing a lot of looking around online but I can't seem to get it right. I'd love any help on getting the banner text to be larger on mobile devices only, thank you!!
  17. I have been given the task of admin on a site and I am totally unfamiliar with SqSp. (I am otherwise a developer that usually develops on other platforms/CMS's) The issue with the site is that the page is too wide for mobile and causes a chronic amount of horizontal scrolling. The previous developer apparently found a solution by adding the viewport meta tag to the Custom CSS area! {huh??}. While this does fix the horizontal scrolling issue, it introduces an error in the Custom CSS (of course) and then the standard formatting on desktop/laptop causes the #page content to be narrower than it should be. The template in use is Bedford and this is the meta tag code added in the Custom CSS area: <meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1"> (I have tried adding this to the 'Advanced' area of Page Settings - and removing it from the Custom CSS, but it has no effect. Still too wide on mobile, but desktop display returns to normal width) I would love it if anyone more familiar with SqSp might be able to point me in the right direction please. I've tried having a look via browser devtools but I can find nothing. NOTE: ** if viewing in a browser, only Chrome emulates the mobile display issue correctly. Firefox does not. The mobile display of the site in SqSp admin also displays correctly. The site is at robe.com.au Thanks in advance if anyone should have a look.
  18. Right now I am trying to recreate an old blog. However I am running into a lot of design problems. First of all it seems like on blog pages you cannot add blocks like you can on normal pages... you can only add posts, Before all the posts i wanted there to be a main paragraph... Not only that, I am not finding any way to edit the style of the posts on the blog list page. For example, I wanted the title to be first, the date to be underneath. Instead of "Read More ->" as text, i wanted it to be a button. There has got to be a way to do something as simple as this?! If i want these little style details am I going to have to make my blog list page as a normal page, and just link to each blog post page manually? Can I make these changes via custom CSS? Any input or advice would be much appreciated!Thanks in advance.
  19. Good afternoon, I have been attempting to increase the logo image size for the mobile view. I have tried several different methods found in the forums, such as the one included below: @media only screen and (max-width: 640px) { #logo { height: 100% !important; max-height: 100% !important; width: auto; max-width: 100% !important; } } The website is: ubcontractor.com I am using the Bedford Template. Would greatly appreciate any help. Thank you so much.
  20. Hi all, I am creating a page about case studies, which follows the style of the blog in the bedform family. We have a custom head banner for each study and when I combine it with the post title, the post title appear in the head banner. I do not need the post title in the head banner, as it does not fit our style and I am using it as H1 anyway. How can I make the post title disappear with custom CSS (either by making the font to 0 or hidding it completely)? Thank you for your help :)
  21. Site URL: https://blog.lifestart.net We're updating our template to Bedford but we have one big issue we want to resolve before going live. On the blog posts, we use images with text as our thumbnail image so we want to remove the title across the banner but keep the thumbnail image across the banner. What code can I inject and where?
  22. Site URL: https://www.jetsetjourneys.com/luxury-for-less/south-african-big-five-safaris-on-a-budget Is there code that will swap the little 'Share' button at the bottom of blogposts in Bedford Template to a list of Social Sharing logos with relevant links? I want to show the Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, etc, logos with 'Click here to share' written above it so that it's much more prominent on the page.
  23. Site URL: https://www.johnsongillies.co.uk/ Hi there, I am currently running the Bedford template with an injected code to keep the header fixed. The code is as follows: header { position: fixed !important; width: 100% !important; } Unfortunately regardless of this code being used or not, I am having issues with mobile view, specifically mobile view when using the navigation menu from the homepage. The menu will pop out when clicked and will show the tail end of this script: .transparent-header.view-list .banner-thumbnail-wrapper, .transparent-header.collection-type-page .banner-thumbnail-wrapper{ padding: 180px 0 155px; } This only occurs on the homepage and the site works perfectly fine elsewhere. I have tried removing any CSS code as well as changing the template to a different one and back to Bedford, however this has made no effect. If someone could take a look for me that would be hugely appreciated! Kind regards, George
  24. Site URL: https://www.crossfitswansea.com/store I've set up a store on my site to sell digital training programs. The thumbnails show up fine on my desktop PC, iMac and android phones but don't appear on my iphone XR using os 13.3 or ipad. I've tried all image formats, jpg, gif, png but none seem to work. Any ideas?
  25. Does anyone know how I can change the banner height on my homepage slideshow banner on the Bedford template? I know this question has been asked a few times. There seems to be codes flying around that will change general banner height, but not the slideshow banner height on the homepage (top banner) specifically. Any help would be amazing, thanks!
