  1. I'm using Bedford and looking to change both the title (bold) and text (no formatting) that appear in a banner. I'd like to use CSS to do this, because I'm using custom fonts that I uploaded, and they don't appear in the site styles dropdown lists. Thanks in advance! www.middle.st
  2. I have been given the task of admin on a site and I am totally unfamiliar with SqSp. (I am otherwise a developer that usually develops on other platforms/CMS's) The issue with the site is that the page is too wide for mobile and causes a chronic amount of horizontal scrolling. The previous developer apparently found a solution by adding the viewport meta tag to the Custom CSS area! {huh??}. While this does fix the horizontal scrolling issue, it introduces an error in the Custom CSS (of course) and then the standard formatting on desktop/laptop causes the #page content to be narrower
  3. Hi everyone, I am using the Hayden Template and do not display any overlay titles or texts....therefore the banners are visually quite small in height (especially problematic on desktop). I searched for some solutions and found one with custom CSS to increase the banner height. Works fine but now on mobile the banners are way too high.... Is there a simple way to make my custom css settings to be ignored on mobile? (basically should use the default of the theme)....Or what modifications should I do to my custom css that it looks good.... Currentl I am using followi
  4. Hi all. I have used the code quoted below to allow me to add a gallery to the header of my Bedford Template homepage, but am unhappy with the way the images dim as a result. I have attached a screenshot just to illustrate the difference moving the gallery from the main body of the page to the header makes. Does anybody have any ideas if I can code my way out of this one?
  5. Hi I need to increase logo size in the Bedford template please. Can anyone recommend code please? Many thanks Lesley
  6. Hi there I am looking for some code to lower the position of the text in my Bedford Banner. I have seen this done for the text to be aligned left or right but not for lowering the position. Currently the text blocks the face in the photo. Many thanks for your help. Mark
  7. Hiya Does anyone know the CSS code for Banner Heading Text? I've managed to alter H1 and H2 but can't seem to find the codes for the banner fonts. I'm using the Hayden template. Thank you.
  8. how do I resize the comment box on the blog posts in the Bedford template>
  9. I'm trying to create a slideshow banner on my website that rotates through a series of images so that it looks like an animated gif - but I also want to add description text to each image so this rotates through automatically as well. I can't get the desired effect as there is an automated fade in/out on both the images and text. I've seen a post with some custom CSS that removes the transition from the text for web/tablet but not mobile. I haven't found anything that will remove the fade in/out from the image transitions. Ideally I'd like to just place one animated gif
  10. I want to do this with Bedford, and I am not the only one either. The thread is archived so I cannot respond now. My client really wants clicking on the folder to take them to a menu page, while the dropdown links take them to the individual pages within the menu page. There has got to be a way to do this in bedford! I assume it is because bedford automatically makes it so that when you click it, it takes you to the first link.
  11. I'm hoping to be able to change the colour of the hamburger icon in the Bedford Template. Not the nav text colour - just the hamburger icon? I'm using the transparent banner option on all pages for aesthetic reasons. I've been able to add custom CSS to fix the bar but when the page scrolls the white hamburger icon is lost as the page colour is white. I could, of course, change the nav colour to orange (#e48b25) but the client may not be happy with this. I hope that this is a quick bit of code to add? Many thanks in advance
  12. I distinctly remember one of the templates allowed the index pages to be displayed as links in the main navigation (sort of like anchor links where clicking on them scrolled down to the section), but cannot for the life of me figure out how to turn on that feature or figure out which template has that feature. I'm currently using Bedford since it allows an index. The choice to display the index pages in the main navigation was in Site Styles. Can someone please tell me which template it was or how to turn it on? Thank you in advance. If you need to view the site (it's still in developme
  13. Hi there guys, i have just built my own website using a template, but it seems there is a bit too much space between the header and the content on the home page. Love any feedback on how to fix? And any other feedback you have. https://www.leahhenricksinteriors.com/ Thanks! Leah

  18. Please, I need some help to remove the navigation, footer and pre-footer from only select pages on the Hayden template. Thanks!
  19. Hi, does anyone know how I could add custom fonts and text to the site title? I have been asked to put a location and persons name underneath the site title in smaller font. They do not have a logo for me to use so I'm required to work with text. For example, the site title is now Bethel Baptist Church and underneath that they would like Dr. Royce Smith and an address. Website Link - https://bethelbaptistchurchchoctaw.squarespace.com/ Thanks!
  20. It seems simple enough. The Design that I am trying to implement for the website that I am making consists of thin color strips that have buttons, images and text inside them. When I make an index page Using a banner does not work because you cannot put blocks in them. When I try using custom CSS to make a div on the page a certain color It still is too big. On my index page I implemented this code: div#homepage1{ height: 55em; background: #E30A1F !important; } To fix the size problem I tried adjusting the height to be smaller. However that also presents problems. When the scree
  21. Does anyone know how I can change the banner height on my homepage slideshow banner on the Bedford template? I know this question has been asked a few times. There seems to be codes flying around that will change general banner height, but not the slideshow banner height on the homepage (top banner) specifically. Any help would be amazing, thanks!

For some reason when I add a link to the footer it puts an underline under the text that has the link. I would like to remove the underline. 24. The spacing between the sections on my index page is too big. See https://anna-murphy-6ne3.squarespace.com/new-index I'm using the Bedford template. Can anyone step me through how to reduce this? Thanks, Shoni
  25. Hello, I'm working in the Bedford template and I don't like how it displays the thumbnail image as a banner. I know how to hide the banner in custom CSS, but what I'd like to do is change it's shape. Rather than be the full width, I'd like it to be a rectangle centered in the middle. Any ideas on what CSS I'd need to accomplish that/ if it's possible? Thanks Toby
