Affiliate links in personal site question
christyprice replied to a topic in Getting Started With Squarespace
To follow up on this question, I have a blog post that shows the 5 steps you should take when adding affiliate links to your Squarespace website: https://christyprice.com/squarespace-tips-tricks/how-to-add-affiliate-links-in-squarespace -
Hi @equerryconsulting. Unfortunately this solution only works with index pages, so only certain templates in 7.0. I haven’t had to come up with a workaround yet. I’d suggest starting a new thread specific to 7.1 to see if someone can help you out. Best of luck with your website!

Replacing Pagination Titles on Portfolio Pages
christyprice replied to Moonside's topic in Customize with code
@Panos_vsl, you have some redundant code in there. Try just this: .item-pagination-title { display:none; } .item-pagination-link .item-pagination-prev-next { display: block !important; font-size: 15px; font-family: "aktiv-grotesk"; text-transform: uppercase; } .item-pagination-link .item-pagination-prev-previous { display: block !important; font-size: 15px; font-family: "aktiv-grotesk"; text-transform: uppercase; } -

Change Color of a Specific Portfolio Title
christyprice replied to designfordummies's topic in Customize with code
Hi @designfordummies. Yes, the Ghost plugin (aff) for super slideshow in 7.1 does work for multiple slideshows on a page. You'd just need to create a different Blog for each slideshow. -
Change Color of a Specific Portfolio Title
christyprice replied to designfordummies's topic in Customize with code
@designfordummies, you'd just need to target that specific element based on its link. Add this to Design > Custom CSS .portfolio-hover-items-list a[href="dekomarkerboards/flexible"] h1 { color: #e51937 !important; } If you change the URL of that page, you'll also need to update it in the code. And if this same layout appears on another page and you don't want the red, just add a collection ID to this code. -

Thanks for letting me know @laurenruth1. If you could "vote up" the answer on the left, that will let others know it's a valid solution.
-
Hi @laurenruth1, This should get you close. You can play around with the opacity value to make it more or less opaque: .gallery-grid-item-wrapper:hover img { opacity: 0.3; }
-
Hi @CanadaSue, Font weights don't have px. So it would just be something like font-weight: 500 !important; Not all weights are supported on all fonts, so fiddle around with the 500 to 700, etc.

Affiliate links in personal site question
christyprice replied to a topic in Getting Started With Squarespace
Hi @Heytherethanks, best practice is to make affiliate links nofollow links. In Squarespace that means using a Markdown block which is available on the Personal plan. Here's an example of what you'd put in a Markdown block for an affiliate link: <a href="http://affiliatelinkhere.com/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">your link in text</a> You can use rel="nofollow" to let search engines know that your link shouldn't count in ranking the linked page. And target="_blank" opens the link in a new window, which is best practice for linking to sites outside your own. The code is too long for the window above, but if you click inside the code block and select all you can paste it into a text editor to see the whole thing. -
