Hi! This is the method I use: https://christyprice.com/blog/how-to-invert-logo-single-page-squarespace
-
If you have the budget, I use and recommend a plugin for this now - I find it easier for both me and my clients: https://christyprice.com/blog/different-social-links-icons-squarespace

Hi @DanielLangenhan, I think the simplest way to do this would be to embed the code from GitHub Gist or CodePen.

Hi @AlanBryceGrossman. Congratulations on your novel release!
A couple of things that might be helpful:Underlines on websites are a cue to the visitor that those are links. So I'd remove underlines on unlinked items.
I'd shorten up your testimonial section on the homepage to remove the excess blank space at the bottom. I'm a fan of "white space" but it would be good to be balanced on the top and bottom.
It looks like there's an error on your recaptcha for the newsletter block... you might just want to remove that unless you start getting spam submissions.
Hope this helps!

@PartTwoDesign if you want this just for the homepage, you can use this code from @tuanphan:
.homepage .header-announcement-bar-wrapper { background: transparent !important; position: absolute !important; }
If it's for a different page, you'll want to replace .homepage above with the collectionID for that page starting with # - I have a walkthrough on how to find that: https://christyprice.com/blog/how-to-find-block-section-ids-squarespace

Hi @lilymyrennyn - one of those targets the previous link and one targets the next link. I know Squarespace has been making some base code changes, so there's always a chance that will change!
-
@Chloe_ECD thanks! There’s actually a great plugin now to add custom social icons anywhere that I prefer using. This post has a walkthrough and coupon code: https://christyprice.com/blog/different-social-links-icons-squarespace

It looks like a code block in your footer. Here's a snippet of what I'm seeing when I look at your full site code:
</div></div><div class="sqs-block code-block sqs-block-code" data-block-type="23" id="block-yui_3_17_2_1_1662485846517_5073"><div class="sqs-block-content"><style> .header, #footer-sections{ display:none !important; } </style></div></div></div></div></div> </div> </div> </section> </footer>
Try viewing the site in safe mode and then looking for the code block in your footer and delete it.

@JonathanPenner I’ve never seen code disappear and still apply to the site. Is there a chance it could have been added in page code injection in individual page settings? Or perhaps it’s in a markdown or code block in the footer you could remove in safe mode.

@JonathanPenner it's definitely added code. It might be in Design > Custom CSS or Settings > Advanced > Code Injection. Did you already check both those?
-
There’s a setting for that (it’s kind of hidden) - this post walks you through it: https://christyprice.com/blog/squarespace-accordion-block-width
-
@aaronsydecar yes - I use the first plugin linked here to find it: https://christyprice.com/blog/chrome-extensions-squarespace-designers
-
@aaronsydecar try this in Custom CSS
#collection-6310f82ba0d2e723b38d4f03 #block-yui_3_17_2_1_1662059294363_46103, #collection-6310f82ba0d2e723b38d4f03 #block-yui_3_17_2_1_1662059294363_49618 { display: none; }
-
Hi @aaronsydecar are you looking to hide the footer links on a particular page? If so, which one so we can pull the correct id?
-
@thilldesign I haven't tried that - keep us posted!
-
@FCortesi there’s not a built-in option to limit the excerpt length. You can check out this discussion and chime in there for a code solution:
-
This is happening because the height accommodates the tallest title/excerpt. The best fix is to make your titles and excerpts roughly the same length across posts. You can see in this screenshot the longest title/excerpt that is causing the summary block to use a tall height;
-
Hi @fc1 if you can share a link to your site that would be helpful.

Print a website? Good grief. I'm sorry!
I'd recommend trying GoFullPage chrome extension that allows you to save each page as a pdf and then print from there.
-
Have you tried selecting the crop option in the block design settings? I'm wondering if that might be a quick fix.
Cannot find a way to edit my outdated template!!

Hi @purecocoa. If you click Help at the bottom of that left list, it will tell you the version of Squarespace you are on. If it's 7.1, then all the templates are interchangeable so there's not the ability to add a different one - you would just update the fonts, colors, and layouts to match the look you want. If it's 7.0, then it will tell you your template name and you'll be able to change templates.
