It isn't possible to integrate Square payments with Squarespace Commerce for online orders. The only way to do this is to use embed an alternative checkout, for example using Ecwid. I wrote an article about this here: Add Square Payments to your Squarespace Online Store.

I thought I was the only one! I am struggling with the same thing! It's taken me hours to complete the most basic tasks! This is so frustrating!! First time experiencing this with Squarespace and have been using for years and years!
