Random section background image on each visit/refresh
jmerrill replied to aaron1's topic in Customize with code
Update: I got the code to work. But there's one little issue I'd like to resolve whereby the first image flashes for a second and then updates to the new image. Every page refresh does this same thing. Any ideas on a solution? @tuanphan URL: artabounds.squarespace.com PW: artabounds- 21 replies

Random section background image on each visit/refresh
jmerrill replied to aaron1's topic in Customize with code
@tuanphan I have a new 7.1 site and am trying to achieve the same result as @aaron1 in the first post above. I took the same code, placed it in the code injection footer section. I then added 10+ images via the file uploader method and linked them into the footer code, but nothing is happening. Any help would be appreciated.- 21 replies

Need help. I'm in 7.1 and have added a gallery block to a page. I've selected the Grid layout option and enabled "Show Title". My question is, how do I add/edit those image items? I don't see anywhere in the UI to do this.

Hi, Sorry about the URL - for some reason, entering the URL in the URL field when creating a New Post on this forum doesn't work. Anyways, the URL is: https://www.drugfreeworldamericas.org/the-truth-about-drugs-booklets/the-truth-about-drugs I would like it hidden at the top of this individual post page. But I would like it showing in the Next/Previous footers.

Is there a way to have a blog post title entered on the page but hidden from displaying on the page? I would like to have the blog post titles visible in the footers (next/previous) but hidden from the actual blog post page.

Body Content Background White, with Site-Wide Image Background

That's a solution. Is there also a way I change the background to white for the Section ID blocks and then with some css bring in the left/right margins? -

Right - trying to avoid those gaps. -
Body Content Background White, with Site-Wide Image Background
jmerrill replied to jmerrill's topic in Customize with code
@qosmic That was the first thought I had. But for blog pages, I think I'm going to need some code since blogs seem to be still running on 7.0 — can't drag shapes yet when in blogs. -
Body Content Background White, with Site-Wide Image Background
jmerrill replied to jmerrill's topic in Customize with code
@qosmic Sorry, not the text, I mean the area where all of the content lies — basically all of the regions where the grid displays (see image): -
I'm using the following code for a site-wide background image: // Site-Wide Background Image // .section-background, .page-section, .section-border { background: transparent !important; } body { background-image: url(https://static1.squarespace.com/static/641264c7edbfe5006e0ee4f9/t/64421ac128aa2229594b6b76/1682053832280/site-background-image-7M.jpg); background-size: cover; background-repeat: no-repeat; background-position: center center; background-attachment: fixed; background-color: transparent !important; } I would like to keep this background image as-is, but make the body content white for all site pages. Any help would be appreciated.

Hey @tuanphan Wanted to know if I could get your help on some code. I have a site-wide background image which you can see here: drugfreeworldamericas.org.
I like the image background but I'd like to have all of the body sections on the site set as white. I will then have to revert the text back to black.
Thanks for your help.

I was provided the code below in order to better align grid layouts and edit titles for desktop layout. It would great on desktop! On mobile though, it tries to format the grid into 2 columns. Is there some css to make it a single column layout on mobile? // Basic Grid Blog // .blog-basic-grid .blog-excerpt { font-family: Helvetica; font-weight: 700; font-size: 18px !important; color: white; line-height: 1.5rem } @media screen and (min-width:768px) { .tweak-blog-basic-grid-width-inset .blog-basic-grid { padding-top: 32px; grid-column-gap: 72px; padding-left: 0vw; padding-right: 0vw; } } @media screen and (max-width:767px) { .tweak-blog-basic-grid-width-inset .blog-basic-grid { display: grid !important; grid-template-columns: repeat(2,1fr) !important; } }

@tuanphan Is there a way to change the blog post titles on a single blog summary page? I'd like to change the "The Truth About..." text on the page below to Header 4 style—but just for this single blog summary page. URL: https://dfw.squarespace.com/get-the-facts PW: letmeinprettyplease

Blog Summary Page Width (Side by Side Blog)

@tuanphan would love some of yr magic pls. 🙂 -
I've started building a new site in 7.1 which I haven't published yet. In this site I have a blog summary page with a few articles listed in a Side by Side Blog layout. I know there are a couple default width options available (Full and Inset) but I'd like to customize the exact width to match a section I have above it. Is this possible with some css?
