  1. Thanks Paul, My client won't be happy. It's not as intuitive as the gear and the instructions don't reflect the change. Thanks again.
  2. I'm trying to link text to a page within my SqSp 7.1 FE website(s). The 'gear' icon to select the list of pages is no longer available. The method shown in this video is no longer applicable. https://support.squarespace.com/hc/en-us/articles/206543827 As per my screenshots, there isn't any way to select a page from a list as it has been for years. How is one expected to link pages within a site? Are we expected to copy and paste the URL every time? One would need to go back and forth between browser windows wasting time and fingers. Any thoughts?
  3. Thank you @tuanphan I'll give this a try! I got busy with other web work (on another platform) and haven't gone back to my site.
  4. Thanks. I'll explore removing the 'btn'. I didn't know what it meant, but the code worked so I used it. I'll clean it up. Thanks again.
  5. Hello Tuanphan. Thank you for responding. Member "Beyondspace" was able to help when I put the question out to others. It's working fine, however I'm looking to control other Lightbox attributes. I just posted that request on the Circle Forum (June 20, 8:25 am EDT USA) https://www.taitdesign.com/identity-branding-design-systems
  6. On June 15th, Member @Beyondspace was kind to help me resize my Lightbox images on the gallery block on my website. Works great. (Thank you.) I have a related question(s) to the "Lightbox max size" provided. (Line 175 in my CSS): Note: I edited this request to give priority to the items. It's the positioning of the caption box that is most important. (The thickness of the arrows and the position of the close button are secondary.) Priority 1) Lightbox Caption position. I've identified the caption 'box' as .sqs-lightbox-meta and the title as 'H1' and the description text a 'p'. (Line 208 in my CSS) Desktop: I'd like to make the white (#ffffff) caption box 80%-100% opaque; I'd like it always to be about 30px (or so) below the image. Smartphone: In SqSp, it's showing up on top of the image and I'd like it below with the same attributes as the desktop. On my actual iPhone the caption box is not visible at all. (Is it below and out of sight?) (Line 220 in my CSS) (I obviously don't need the arrows showing on the smartphone as they are on SqSp, but not my actual phone.) Priority 2) Previous and Next arrows. I've identified them and positioned them just outside the 50% image which seems to be working although there's probably better CSS code. I've added a round white background dot and made the arrows the color #e60000 (red). I'd like to make the arrows a bit larger and thicker. (Line 191 in my CSS) Priority 3) Lightbox Close Button. I like the changes I made, however can it be moved to be closer to the image? About 20px above on upper-right? (Line 237 in my CSS) I know this is a lot to ask. I've looked at all the SqSp Forum entries I could find. I use the 'Jazzikology' image in the "Identity & Branding Design Systems" page (Small and Medium-Sized Business gallery at top of page) because it has both a Title and a Description. Thanks! My site is live and screenshots are below. www.taitdesign.com Thanks also to @tuanphan who responded to my initial request. Any ideas?
  7. My two cents: I found the *:not(.btn) to do the trick. I don't know what it means, but it worked where nothing else has. Thank you.
  8. OK, thanks. Maybe it just needs more time to propagate. Thanks for the Lightbox code!!
  9. Thank you. That works perfectly. (My code wasn't even close.) Now I have to reduce the space between the image and the Title text, and I'd like the title to 'show' on the smartphone. (I can likely handle that.) One question: Are you able to see my site on your desktop? My next task is to readdress the "DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN" error that I and others are getting in all browsers, PC and Mac, on desktop.
  10. My gallery lightbox images are opening too large on desktop view. 1. I'd like to have control over the image size and limit the size to about 35%-50% in desktop view, and… 2. Keep the size as is (100%) on smartphone view. www.taitdesign.com* I've explored CSS such as this for the desktop, but it's not working: /* Lightbox max size */ .gallery-lightbox-item img { width: 50% !important; height: auto !important; } Can you guide me in the right direction? Thanks! *At the time of this post I'm having DNS issues and the taitdesign.com site may not show up on your desktop but should on your smartphone. It does on mine. It's confusing. I will address this issue after coffee. About 16 hours ago I swapped my old 7.0 site for a new 7.1 FE site. The site worked for about two hours. Any help would this issue would also be appreciated. Just tell me where to look. I've talked to my domain provider and that was useless.
  11. Dear @tuanphan Follow-up: SqSp 7.1 FE… my gallery lightbox images are opening too large on desktop view. I'd like to have control over the image size and limit the size to about 50% in desktop view, and keep the size as is on smartphones. I've explored CSS such as this for the desktop, but it's not working: /* Lightbox max size */ .gallery-lightbox-item img { width: 50% !important; height: auto !important; } Can you guide me in the right direction? Thanks!
  12. After several attempts and inspecting the code. This workaround oddly did the trick. // MOBILE Hide Logo or Site Title When Menu Is Open - 7.1 // .header--menu-open .header .header-title-logo img, .header--menu-open .header .header-title-text a { display: show !important; margin: 0px 0px 0px -1000px !important; } A display of 'none' (or 'hide') did not work and you can see I moved the 'img' off the screen to the left. The combination seems to work. Not pretty, but functional. But why is this happening in the first place?
  13. On newly published client website, www.jazzikology.com in SqSp 7.1 FE, mobile view on the menu page…the navigation menu is 'behind' logotype and therefore unclickable. • I don't need the logo on the menu page. • I do need the logo on the home page. What is the best way to handle this? Why is it happening? Screenshot is from iPhone13Pro.
  14. Not solved after all. It was, then jumped back to running off to the right side… I'll deal with it over the weekend. Thanks!
  15. SOLVED: I forced the content width section width to 100%. It had been set to "L". Odd, but it works.
  16. Update: • When I turn "Show Title" off the Summary Block stays within the page margin. • When I turn "Show Title" on the block runs off the page to the right… For my meeting today with the client, I'll just turn 'Show Title' off and talk through the problem to fix later.
  17. This is the site that the client insists I don't share. All of the other blocks are where they should be. It's just the right side of the (new) summary blocks in 7.1 that are extending outside of the page margin and the page itself! I can make a mock-up, but I'll have to do that a bit later.
  18. SqSp 7.1 — Summary Block I've added a few summary blocks to the home page of a site which are working as expected. However… • The problem is that on tablets and smartphones the blocks run off the right side of the width of the site. And, even on desktop when the browser window is not super-extended. The blocks do not resize to stay within the page (full) margins. • Does anyone have a quick CSS fix for this? I'm stuck at: .summary-block { width: 100%; <——————I know this is wrong } • And what happened to design settings for mobile? Do I have to write more CSS? Thanks.
