The Flatiron template had a very specific "portfolio" design for artists and creatives with an index page and gallery grids. That design isn't replicated on Squarespace 7.1 but you may want to take a look at Gallery Sections and Portfolio Pages as these are probably the nearest equivalents.
Note that although Squarespace 7.1 has named "templates" like Skyloop, these are just starting points, designed to give you inspiration. In truth, these all share the same single "7.1" template and all have the same features, so choosing a different 7.1 "template" won't change the features that are available to you.

You didn't provide a link to your site so I can't test it for your situation, but try adding something like this to Design > Custom CSS:
