Correct. When you make a hyperlink in SQSP, and set it to Dile (as opposed to web address), there is an option to Upload File and set the link to be a document link to that uploaded file. The file management is less than ideal in SQSP though. Im thinking about putting all prospective file links on another webserver where I can create logical folder organizations. Finding a file once uploaded into the SQSP abyss is painful. You can make an index for files storage, but thats just another convoluted step IMO.

Thanks for the update. That makes sense. Seems like in v7 SQSP (or the browser at the time) seemed to honor it. We just noticed it in the past year so the browser is probably culprit. On first try, it looks like the browser, or HTML in general, doesnt allow query parameters and strips out the = and # sings so renaming it: Acute-Coronary-Syndrome-110922#zoom=200.pdf becomes Acute-Coronary-Syndrome-110922%23zoom%3D200.pdf

I have many PDFs on our site (embedded as uploaded PDFs with a link to file option in the text). In Acrobat the PDFs have their Initial View size settings set to 200%. But when opened in SQSP they only open at standard 100%. All other web apps honor the PDF view settings. Is this behavior exclusive to SQSP? Thanks!

Is Caspio app embed no longer supported in new templates? All my embedded apps work fine in older templates. Wont appear in new templates. THAT would be unfortunate if no longer fucntionals.

I was hoping to find some individual pages password protected, but none are. Just the site is password protected. But I still have subpages asking for password after the initial site login password is used.

Have a site I need a site password for. If I understand the concept correctly, the user enters the site password then has access to all pages until password naturally expires as SQSP has it set (~ 4 hrs?) Right now, site password allows access. But for some pages it randomly asks for the password again, well within any password expiration period. Im wondering if its how I have the pages organized? Should they all be under the Main Nav area and Enabled? I have many of them in the Not Linked section (from early idea to keep hidden). Thanks!

I prefer suing the standard GA, not the integrated. In several documents about using GA with SQSP it notes "Note, you would not use both the built-in integration and code injection methods at the same time. " How would one disable integrated? I have the GA and GTM script code pasted in the code injection (that enables the regular GA approach. To disable integrated do I just remove any UA or G- analytics values from Squarespace Settings > Advanced > External API Keys? Thanks all!

paul2009, thanks for the reply. Im discovering that now. Never would have guessed something as simple as adding Search capability to this project site would be its Achilles heal. Its just always been such a given component on any site I ever built using MANY different platforms. And its a core component to this project - so really dont know what Im going to do. So in your example, that's a Blog entry, right? So even if I convert each page to a blog and use the keyword in a title it still might not work?! Does it fare better searching blog tags and categories?

This would be awesome, but dont think its currently possible in SQSP. Most CMS systems have this, usually under the form of "Create Shared Content". Then once created you can drop it anywhere. Especially useful for items you may need on many pages, and with it, you only need to change the content once.

+another A real world example for use I have for this feature. I created 40 pages of material. Just pages, not a blog, product, gallery, etc. Then, to my surprise, I add a search button. Turns out search only searches specific material (?) like tags, categories, blog titles, etc - but NOT the general text of a page (this is a whole separate gripe). So in order to achieve the search feature we need, Im going to have to recreate each page as a blog or other searchable entity. If I could simply copy or move content blocks to a new blog page this would be an easier task, But without this content block copy/move option I have to convert 40 pages to blogs from scratch. SQSP, I hope this feature can be added.

Should be an option. There are actual reasons to have next to each other. For example, I use a third-party accordion script that works great, Accotabs. It collapses all content between two markdown boxes into an accordion. So it looks like this: [Markdown block code 1] Accordion 1 content [Markdown block code 2] [Markdown block code 1] Accordion 2 content [Markdown block code 2] So as you build accordions it merges the 2 adjacent markdown blocks, breaking the functionality. Interestingly, it doesn't always do this. I have some pages where this wasnt a problem. Maybe browser version makes a difference? And I have had instances where I have tried to get some text with images or layout just so, and actually did need to use a new text block to make it work. But it would do the merge thing.
