Checkout settings: same function, new look
We’ve refreshed the layout of the Checkout settings panel and renamed a few settings to make them more reflective of what they do. No function or available settings have been changed.

Sell custom merch, infrastructure not required
Are you interested in selling your own custom merch through your site? Printful is a print-on-demand extension that will print, pack, and ship custom merch for you. You can use your art, photos, or anything to create your own merch.
For initial inspiration, you’ll find automatically generated mockups with your site logo in the Commerce > Custom merch panel of your site.

Unfold
Create and sell your NFTs with Digital Collectibles and Rarible
Use an image or video to create a digital collectible from the Unfold app. Your digital collectibles can then be sold and minted through the Rarible NFT marketplace.

Member Areas
Manage your Member Areas in one place
Under Commerce, we’ve added a Memberships panel to give you a centralized area to view and manage key features for your site’s members-only areas.

Sell in person on the Android app
Point-of-sale is now available on the Android Squarespace app. Use the Squarespace app to sell in person and create a new revenue stream for your business.

Squarespace Scheduling
Improved client-facing appointments page
The client-facing appointments page and tab within the Scheduling app have been redesigned to be easier to read. Appointment information (e.g appointment type, duration, price) is now broken up onto different lines. Before this update, all appointment details appeared on a single line.

Websites
Build, design, and publish from your phone
We’ve made it possible for you to build and publish a one-page site from your mobile browser. Choose from eight templates to share your resume, portfolio, or anything else you can think of.
Go to Squarespace.com on a mobile browser and click “Get Started” to check it out.
Domain recommendations when you publish your site
If you haven’t yet registered a domain, we’ll now offer some recommendations with the option to register when you publish your site.

Introducing shape blocks
Shape blocks are now available on all Fluid Engine page sections. You can add and style a variety of shapes to design creative and interesting pages.

More options to style your store’s cart icon
Cart icons for online stores built on version 7.1 now have more styling options including border, size, and color. You can also swap the icon in favor of text if that’s your fancy.

The Marketing Kit on the iOS Squarespace app combs through your site and creates branded marketing assets for you within seconds. You can further customize these digital assets and use them on your website, product details pages, and Email Campaigns.

Customize your image effect with more styling options
Take control of the size, shape, and other design effects of your site’s background images using the new settings slider icon in the section settings menu.

Speed up editing with block duplication
Want to add a row of image blocks? No need to hit that +Add Block button again because blocks added to Fluid Engine page sections can now be duplicated, content and all.

Quickly change image block layouts in the Classic editor
You can now change an image block’s layout and text alignment without opening the editor by using quick action buttons.This option only applies to Classic editor image blocks, as Fluid Engine image blocks don't have built-in layouts.

Maintain a consistent visual experience with text scaling
Text scaling is now available on all version 7.1 sites. When applied, text will scale relative to the screen size without moving. In other words, a line of text will not be broken into two lines of text, even on a smaller screen.

Over the last several years, our community has turned the Squarespace Forum into a welcoming resource for website owners to receive support and constructive feedback from their peers.
We’re excited to celebrate your contributions to the Squarespace Forum by releasing our new Forum Achievements program. Over the next few days, you’ll start to see badges appear for your forum activity. Qualifications for each badge will be calculated retroactively, meaning that you’ll be credited for your forum contributions throughout your entire Squarespace journey.
A variety of actions—posts, comments, feedback, reactions, and more— will be represented across different badges to reward all forms of forum participation. You’ll also receive a rank designation based on your forum contributions. Both your badges and rank designation will be visible in your forum profile.

The “About Us” page can be an important part in turning a visitor into a customer. It’s your moment to tell them your story and emphasize why your product or service is the right choice for them!
For personal sites, we find that focusing on your personal statement, achievements and a way to get in touch is most helpful. For storefront businesses, sharing a brief "how we came to be" history, impactful testimonials, and your hours and location are best.
