  5. Hi @Shansb

It’s normal for new sites to not to appear in search results right away. Before a website can appear on search engines like Google, it needs to be “indexed” by that search engine’s bots. This process can take weeks to complete and isn't controlled by Squarespace. Check out this great Squarespace help article for more details:

Why doesn't my site appear in Google searches?

There are also some steps you can take to increase your site's visibility to search engines. To learn more, visit this other help guide here:

Increasing your site’s visibility to search engines

For any further questions you might have about this, feel free to reach to Squarespace Customer Support.

As a note, bear in mind that SEO strategy falls outside of the scope of Squarespace support. Because search engines have complex, frequently changing technology, and everyone’s marketing needs are unique, Squarespace is unable to provide specific SEO advice to customers.

  6. Hi @Pho_Dada ,

Squarespace has a great guide with great tips on selecting the right plan, that you might find helpful:

    Choosing the right Squarespace plan

Also, while importing content from Wix into Squarespace is not something currently available, if you have any specific questions about recreating your site into our platform, our Customer Support team will be more than happy to lend a hand here. Squarespace offers 24/7 email support and live chat support on most weekdays at designated times. Here's a guide with more info on live chat operating hours/how to contact Squarespace Customer Support:

  7. Hi everyone,

From the message shown in the image that SarahJM shared, it seems that the website hasn't been published yet. When a site is private, only site owners and contributors with login permissions can see it.

As a note, all trial sites are set to Private by default.

A site can be set to Public (paid sites only), Password Protected or Private under Settings > Site Availability.

It's indeed weird that clicking on the login link shown in the image above would lead you to a 404 page, though. So we can take a closer look into that and/or for any further help you might need, please reach out to Squarespace Customer Support for personalized assistance.

  8. Hi @Donato

It sounds like you’re interested in working with a professional to help with your Squarespace site. If that's the case, you can get started with hiring a Squarespace Expert by completing the project brief in our Marketplace, powered by 99designs.

From there, you can choose from a list of recommended experts based on your project needs, or choose an expert to work with and submit the form directly to them. You'll then be redirected to 99designs to invite and communicate with your expert(s). For more information on the process, visit our How it Works page.

  9. Hi @kasostours

You can add online booking to your site in a number of ways, including our built-in Scheduling Block. For more on that option and others, check out this guide:

Adding online booking to your site

As a note, some of the methods outlined in the help guide linked above may require the use of Premium features. These are features designed to meet the needs of businesses and organizations, so they're only available on our Business and Commerce plans.

For any further questions you might have, you can reach out to Customer Support for personalized assistance at anytime.

  10. Hi @sublenko

If you have created a new trial site with the intention to have it replacing the old side once you'd have the new site ready, then the process would be upgrading the new site to paid service, moving the domain over to that new site, canceling the new site and eventually filling out a refund form (if the old site would be on an annual plan). There's more details about all these steps in this help guide here:

Starting over - Option 4 - Start a new site

For any further questions you might have about this process, please reach out to Squarespace Customer Support for personalized assistance.

  11. Hi @visuals__sg

It's possible that the deleted page it's still in the trash can. If that's the case, you'll need to delete the page from there, so you can then use the desired URL. This info is outlined in the help guide that I am linking below:

URL slugs - URL slug formatting tips

If the page it's not in the trash can, then as paul2009 mentioned, I'd recommend contacting Squarespace Customer Support for personalized assistance.

  12. Hi @moniebird,

While we can't guarantee that this feature will be implemented neither provide info on a timeframe for potential implementation, I am happy to suggest this as an addition to our development team on your behalf. Customer feedback is an important part of how we continue to improve our platform, so we appreciate your input!

For any feature requests that you would like to be logged, contacting our Customer Support team would be the best approach. As per point 6 of the forum guidelines we don't track feature requests in this forum.

    Thanks!

  13. Hi @Fenmann

I am not sure about what the setup you have in mind neither what you mean by "different sections os a site". However, I can say that at the moment all domains connected to a site will point to the homepage and resolve to the domain set as the primary one. It's not possible to connect a domain o a specific page on a site. This is outlined in the help guide that I am linking below:

Connecting a domain to your Squarespace site - Before you begin

For any further questions you might have, please reach out to Squarespace Customer Support for personalized assistance.

  14. Hi @griff48

I am really sorry to hear about the messages you've been receiving through the Form Block on your site!

While for privacy reasons Squarespace wouldn't be able to give out IP addresses even if this would be information that would be collected, and that this situation is something out of our control, one thing you can try is creating email filters that block or delete these kind of messages.

For example, here are Gmail’s instructions for creating email filters. For more help with setting up email filters, I'd recommend reaching out to your email provider.

You can also add Google reCAPTCHA to your form, but keep in mind this helps protect from spambots. For instructions on adding reCAPTCHA to your form, check out this help article.

  15. Hi @Webby

Sharing buttons is currently not supported in Squarespace 7.1 as outlined in this help guide here:

    Share buttons

In what regards new features release in general, Squarespace regularly emails customers with product updates, so I'd recommend watching your email inbox for new features announcements. Additionally, Squarespace also share product-related information and updates on our MAKING IT blog.

  16. Hi everyone,

I'd like to start by clarifying that when you transfer a domain to be hosted by Squarespace, this doesn’t automatically transfer your email hosting to Squarespace as well. Domain and email hosting are two different services.

If you already have a custom email address setup for your domain, you can keep it with the company through which you set this service up if you would like. While transferring your domain to Squarespace you were given the option to transfer your email account’s MX records (the records responsible for handling your email), which allow you to keep using the email service. However, you will need to make sure that you keep the email service active with your provider, so you can be able to keep using it. As a note, if you keep the email service with them, you’ll still manage your email account with your original provider.

Before transferring your domain to Squarespace, we always recommend contacting your current email provider to ensure that there won’t be any restrictions or issues by moving to Squarespace. We also recommend backing up any essential emails, contacts, or settings you may need.

There might be some downtime on your email during the transfer. Check this FAQ on our help center more specifics.

To stop using your email provider and move your email account to Squarespace, you can create a Google Workspace account that’s managed through your Squarespace site. This allows you to keep the same email address, but creates an entirely new account with new inboxes and billing managed by Squarespace. There are more details on this setup in this help article

For any further questions you might have about this, feel free to reach to Squarespace Customer Support for personalized assistance.
