  1. Not really sure what category this should go in but I wanted to post this in hopes it might be helpful to others. I've experienced 2 problems recently while designing and viewing in Chrome. The first was when I became unable to see the EDIT SECTION option. The culprit was a Duck Duck Go extension. When I disabled it, it works perfectly. The next issue was with viewing a PDF. Again this was another issue with a Chrome extension, FormSwift PDF Editor.
  2. Hi everyone, not sure this will solve everyone's issue but this is a great video on how to create a Thank you page after a purchase. I hope it helps. https://www.rebeccagracedesigns.com/blog/redirect-after-purchase
  3. Okay, I'm an idiot. This is a setting within the gallery block where you can select a light or dark overlay. I'm attaching a screenshot just in case it isn't obvious to anyone else. No further help required.
  4. I apologize. This one's correct https://chiton-mouse-ymtr.squarespace.com/artist-gallery/bernard-safran
  5. Site URL: https://chiton-mouse-ymtr.squarespace.com/artist-gallery/bernard-safran-e6zfe First of all, I did not design this website. Just trying to help clean it up. The person who created it used the blog to add artists as posts and not pages. They would like the background of the lightbox to be white not black. I know how to change this on a page under design and colors but not when it's on a post. I will need help with the background as well as the close and arrows. Can anyone help please? Thanks!
  6. That one is simple, I just added <br> where I wanted the text to break and a soft return (shift return, not just return) Title<br> Medium<br> I'm so happy this helped. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
  7. Hi Gracie, I'm not a coder either but I can tell you that the code needs to be moved to SETTINGS, advanced, injected code. That will resolve the issue with the line 1 error and hopefully resolve the caption/lighbox issue as well. This is the site I used the code on https://www.jonathangaber.com/work/bricks in version 7.1. If you are on 7.0, I'm not sure it would work I think our code is the same but just to make sure I'm repasting it here: I hope this resolves it. Please let me know. Sharon ----- <script src="https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/jquery/3.5.0/jquery.min.js"></script> <script> jQuery(document).ready(function($){ $('.gallery-lightbox-list .gallery-lightbox-item').each(function(){ var text = $(this).find('img').attr("alt"); console.log(text); $(this).append('<div class="lightbox-caption">' + text + '</div>'); }) }) </script> <style> .lightbox-caption { color: black; font-weight: bold; margin: 15px 0; text-align: center; display: none; position: absolute; bottom: -65px; z-index: 9999; } .gallery-lightbox-wrapper:hover { cursor: pointer; } .gallery-lightbox-item[data-in='false'] .lightbox-caption { display: none!important; } .gallery-lightbox-item[data-active='true']:hover .lightbox-caption{ display: inline-block; } .gallery-lightbox-wrapper:hover .gallery-lightbox-item[data-active='true'] .lightbox-caption{ display: inline-block; } .gallery-lightbox .lightbox-caption { display: block !important; } </style>
  8. Perfect as always. Thank you. I don't know what the Forum would do without you!
  9. Site URL: https://paperwork-co.squarespace.com/paperwork-for-credit-unions I was able to figure out the code to center a button vertically within a block but I can't figure out how to not make it centered on mobile. Right now it overlaps the text. Can anyone help? This is the code I am using: #block-f929a95afe532c3b9f3a { vertical-center: margin: 0; position: absolute; top: 50%; -ms-transform: translateY(-50%); transform: translateY(-50%); }
  10. I used code from another client's project to achieve this. You can see examples here on both 7.0 and 7.1. https://gopher-carrot-zx3f.squarespace.com/team-1 https://www.myfirstnestegg.com/about This is what I am using: Settings/Advanced/Code Injection Header <!-- Start of lightbox Embed Code --> <link href="//cdn.rawgit.com/noelboss/featherlight/1.7.13/release/featherlight.min.css" type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" /> <!-- End of lightbox Embed Code --> Footer <!-- Start of lightbox Embed Code --> <script src="//code.jquery.com/jquery-latest.js"></script> <script src="//cdn.rawgit.com/noelboss/featherlight/1.7.13/release/featherlight.min.js" type="text/javascript" charset="utf-8"></script> <!-- End of lightbox Embed Code --> Design/Custom CSS ////bio-popup//// .readm { text-align: center; color: #0b7977; margin-top: -30px !important; margin-bottom: 30px; } .readm a { border-bottom: 1px solid #a4d0cf; } .pop1 { width:30%; padding: 5%; float: left; } .pop2 { padding: 5%; width:70%; float: left; } @media only screen and (max-width: 1300px){ .pop2 { padding: 0 10%; width: 70%; float: left; } .pop1 { width: 30%; padding: 0%;} } @media only screen and (max-width: 1024px){ .pop1 { width: 100%; padding: 5%; float: none; display: flex; align-content: center; justify-content: space-around; flex-wrap: nowrap; flex-direction: row; align-items: center; } .pop2 { width:100%; padding: 5%; text-align: center; } } And on the page in an HTML block <div class="readm"><a href="#" data-featherlight="#bio-annie">Read more</a></div> <div style="display:none;"> <div id="bio-annie"> <div class="fullpop" style="width:100%;"> <div class="pop1"> <img src="https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/61a8e71f81244d77bf34c911/1645472912345-6V5ATVDKUXYYSF7QHZAE/Annie-Shoen-MyFirstNestEgg.jpg?format=300w" alt="annie" /> </div> <div class="pop2"> <h3>Annie Shoen</h3> <p>Annie is passionate about financial literacy and believes that every child deserves a financially stable future.   11. For anyone else who may have this issue, the solution was addressed in the company's FAQ page which you can see here https://sqspthemes.squarespace.com/plugin-snippets/accotabs#remove-all-paddings
  12. Site URL: https://krill-trout-pskp.squarespace.com/food My client purchased an accordion plugin from SQSP Themes. It works great except there is a large gap between the tabs and the portfolio items. When I do a page inspect this is what I see (screenshot below). We've reached out to them and Dimitry directly but am hoping this is a simple fix that someone else might have a solution for. Thanks!
  13. I can not take any credit for this but have a client who used the following code as a solution. The popup includes an image of the person and links to social media. The photo and icon images need to be uploaded as a custom file under Custom CSS and you will then need the static image link to add in the final HTML. I've used this solution both for 7.0 and 7.1 I hope it works for others as well! ----- Advanced/Code Injection Header: <!-- Start of lightbox Embed Code --> <link href="//cdn.rawgit.com/noelboss/featherlight/1.7.13/release/featherlight.min.css" type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" /> <!-- End of lightbox Embed Code --> Footer: <!-- Start of lightbox Embed Code --> <script src="//code.jquery.com/jquery-latest.js"></script> <script src="//cdn.rawgit.com/noelboss/featherlight/1.7.13/release/featherlight.min.js" type="text/javascript" charset="utf-8"></script> <!-- End of lightbox Embed Code --> Design/Custom CSS .readm { text-align: center; color: #0b7977; margin-top: -30px !important; margin-bottom: 30px; } .readm a { border-bottom: 1px solid #a4d0cf; } .pop1 { width:30%; padding: 5%; float: left; } .pop2 { padding: 5%; width:70%; float: left; } @media only screen and (max-width: 1300px){ .pop2 { padding: 0 10%; width: 70%; float: left; } .pop1 { width: 30%; padding: 0%;} } @media only screen and (max-width: 1024px){ .pop1 { width: 100%; padding: 5%; float: none; display: flex; align-content: center; justify-content: space-around; flex-wrap: nowrap; flex-direction: row; align-items: center; } .pop2 { width:100%; padding: 5%; text-align: center; } } And in the location you want the popup to appear HTML Block <div class="readm"><a href="#" data-featherlight="#bio-john">Read more</a></div> <div style="display:none;"> <div id="bio-john"> <div class="fullpop" style="width:100%;"> <div class="pop1"> <img src="https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/60d2f886e15def5d8728b4ad/1624439022058-3LL2SZZROT52SCAM1QG1/adrian_n.jpg?format=500w" alt="adrian" /> </div> <div class="pop2"> <h3>Dr. Jennifer Gatt, Ph.D.</h3> <p>Dr. Gatt is an Arizona licensed psychologist specializing in children, adolescents and young adults presenting with academic/occupational, social, psychological or adaptive functioning concerns.<br><br> Dr. Gatt received her Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from Arizona State University, after which she completed a postdoctoral fellowship in neuropsychology. 14. Thank you. This removes the duplicate search here text in Chrome but breaks the search function in Safari. I've left it so perhaps you can see the problem. Thank you for your help. I've made such a mess.
  15. @tuanphan Thank you for responding. I removed some of the code and now it works on Safari but you see a duplicate message "type to search" on Chrome. You can see below 2 screenshots, the one with instructions are Chrome, the one without is Safari. I also have code to add text to the search bar on the films page https://cargofilm-staging.squarespace.com/films It's a mess of found code. I would be grateful for any help. Thank you!
  16. Site URL: https://cargofilm-staging.squarespace.com/films I have added an anchor on the film pages of this site https://cargofilm-staging.squarespace.com/films (password: cargo). It works perfectly in Chrome but does not work in Safari. Any suggestions? Thank you!
  17. Thank you for this solution. I was able to add text to the search bar and remove the duplication but it only works in Chrome, not Safari. Any advice on this? The site is https://cargofilm-staging.squarespace.com/ password: cargo Thanks for your help!
  18. Quick follow up that I added the final bit of code from the article @paul2009 wrote https://sf.digital/squarespace-solutions/how-to-remove-unwanted-items-from-squarespace-search-results and it helped resolve part of my search issue. I hope that Squarespace will update this feature going forward but putting the code here in case it can help someone else. Thanks, Paul! /* Hide PAGES that match search criteria */ .search-result .sqs-search-container-item.sqs-post.PageCollectionData.sqs-search-page-item { display: none; }
  19. @paul2009 thank you for the code, hopefully this will be a future feature. Thank you again.
  20. Not good news but at least I'm not alone. I had found code here to eliminate images and posts from search results and tried to adjust it to eliminate Index page content. Preface here that I am not a developer. Could this be a possible workaround? /* Hide IMAGES that match search criteria */ .search-result .sqs-search-container-item.sqs-post.sqs-post-type-image.ContentItem.sqs-search-page-item { display: none; } /* Hide BLOG POSTS that match search criteria */ .search-result .sqs-search-container-item.sqs-search-page-item.sqs-post.ContentItem { display: none; } This is the one I tried to mimic but I really have no clue what I'm doing. Just thought if only the index showed it could work. /* Hide INDEX PAGE CONTENT that match search criteria */ .search-result .sqs-search-container-item.sqs-search-page-item.sqs-post.ContentItem.sqs-Index-page-content { display: none; }
  21. Site URL: https://cargofilm-staging.squarespace.com/films I created a site with 100+ films in 7.0 using index pages. I typically name the pages as Index = film name and pages within the index as film name banner / film name details. for example: Gabi (index) Gabi Banner (page) Gabi details (page) I tried to change the page name and urls to remove the film name but it still shows in the search. Is My problem is trying to limit the search to this page https://cargofilm-staging.squarespace.com/films (password: cargo) I've inserted the site wide search to the header and I've also added the search and limited it to the releases gallery which is where the poster images for the films are and where they are then sorted by tag and category to the individual pages. My goal is to limit the search to the content on the FILMS page that would be equivalent to Command F on a Mac. Is there any solution for this HTML/CSS or perhaps a plugin or to limit the search to only the Index not the pages below? I was able to find the code to limit search results from the blog which is where the press is. Any help would be very appreciated. I can't believe this is so challenging. Thanks!
  22. I am looking for a similar solution. I've created a films page from a gallery and summary block and would like the search to be limited to this page https://cargofilm-staging.squarespace.com/films (password: cargo). I used the code provided in @dchavez article to restrict blog search but my problem is this was done in 7.0 using Index pages so the pages are named "Gabi/ Gabi Banner / Gabi Details" which all show. I know I can rename the pages to remove the titles but it's over 100. I am hopeful there is a way to limit the search to the index only. Does this make sense? Thanks for your help!
  23. Thank you as always for offering solutions. I think the plugin is the way to go.
  24. Site URL: https://cargofilm-staging.squarespace.com/films This seems to be a common question/request but I still haven't found a solution. I am working with a film company who has 100+ images. I set up a gallery and used a summary block but the max is 30 so I reverted to a gallery grid. The goal is to show the title and description. Does anyone have a solution for this? The goal is to increase the font size for the title and show the description. Thanks in advance for your help.
