  1. Easiest way might be to just create the text in a Word / Pages document, strike it through, then copy'n'paste it. Works for me!
  2. Hi, I'm working with a client who has a wedding / event planning business. They also rent out 'items' for use at events (including magicians, bands, DJs, food stands, etc). Anyone have any experience in managing this kind of business in Squarespace? I'm assuming it will need to be a third-party integration to manage the items (dates, returns, etc), so happy to pointed in the right direction or if anyone has done something similar with SS without external help, I'd love to know. Ideally linked with Scheduling to know when things are booked (or not), etc. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
  3. Hey Pogiroheat, thought I'd take a quick look and give you some feedback. Obviously it's fairly basic but a couple of things to note. The dates on the blogs conflict with the titles which looks a little jarring. For me, it's missing some context, maybe an About Us page would be good to explain what you do and what customers can achieve. I see there's a link for one in the footer but it doesn't link to anything. The wording also seems a little haphazard in terms of capitalisation. Much of it is capitalised for no reason which makes it harder to read. Hope that helps.
  4. No offence taken at all - I appreciate the feedback. Take care.
  5. Thanks @girldad, appreciate you taking the time to respond. To be honest, I'm still a little torn myself; some days even I think it's too bright, but other days I really like it.
  6. Thanks @joequint , appreciate you taking the time. I did deliberately limit the amount of text; still too much you think?
  7. Love it @derricksrandomviews that hadn't even occurred to me, maybe I'm just too young 😉 Thanks for taking the time though.
  8. Site URL: http://www.cubesquared.digital Hey everyone. Hope you're all keeping safe. I might live to regret this, but if anyone has some time and fancy reviewing a site for me, I'd love to hear from you. It is meant to have a somewhat irreverent, informal tone, so please feel free check out the blogs too. Thanks in advance.
  9. Add this to your site, under Settings - Advanced - Code Injection, then scroll down to the Lock Screen section, add this code. The sections in red will need changing to suit whatever you're counting down to and you can play around with fonts, colours, etc. <div class="container"> <h1 id="headline">Countdown to my whatever:</h1> <div id="countdown"> <ul> <li><span id="days"></span>days</li> <li><span id="hours"></span>Hours</li> <li><span id="minutes"></span>Minutes</li> <li><span id="seconds"></span>Seconds</li> </ul> </div> <div class="message"> <div id="content"> <span class="emoji">🥳</span> <span class="emoji">🎉</span> <span class="emoji">🎂</span> </div> </div> </div> <style> /* general styling */ * { box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0; padding: 0; } .sqs-slide-wrapper[data-slide-type="lock-screen"] .sqs-slide { height: 100%; margin: 0; } .sqs-slide-wrapper[data-slide-type="lock-screen"] .sqs-slide { align-items: center; background-color: #ffd54f; display: flex; font-family: -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, "Segoe UI", Roboto, Oxygen-Sans, Ubuntu, Cantarell, "Helvetica Neue", sans-serif; } .container { color: #333; margin: 0 auto; text-align: center; } h1 { font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: .125rem; text-transform: uppercase; } li { display: inline-block; font-size: 1.5em; list-style-type: none; padding: 1em; text-transform: uppercase; } li span { display: block; font-size: 4.5rem; margin-bottom: 2rem; } .message { font-size: 4rem; } #content { display: none; padding: 1rem; } .emoji { padding: 0 .25rem; } @media all and (max-width: 768px) { h1 { font-size: 1.5rem; } li { font-size: 1.125rem; padding: .75rem; } li span { font-size: 3.375rem; } } </style> <script> (function () { const second = 1000, minute = second * 60, hour = minute * 60, day = hour * 24; let birthday = "Dec 31, 2020 00:00:00", countDown = new Date(birthday).getTime(), x = setInterval(function() { let now = new Date().getTime(), distance = countDown - now; document.getElementById("days").innerText = Math.floor(distance / (day)), document.getElementById("hours").innerText = Math.floor((distance % (day)) / (hour)), document.getElementById("minutes").innerText = Math.floor((distance % (hour)) / (minute)), document.getElementById("seconds").innerText = Math.floor((distance % (minute)) / second); //do something later when date is reached if (distance < 0) { let headline = document.getElementById("headline"), countdown = document.getElementById("countdown"), content = document.getElementById("content"); headline.innerText = "It's my birthday!"; countdown.style.display = "none"; content.style.display = "block"; clearInterval(x); } //seconds }, 0) }()); </script> Hope this helps! Good luck. (www.twitter.com/cubesqddigital)
  10. Again, thank you so much for taking the time to respond.
  11. @PJ22 This is great thank you. May I ask, how do you make the text repeat from right to left (rather than bounce from side to side? Also, how could you change the font of the scrolling text? Thanks in advance.
  12. Thanks tuanphan - the URL is www.thetees.online (password - BraveNewWorld2020)
  13. Site URL: http://www.thetees.online Hi, Not sure if this is possible, but! I'm building a kind of 'news' site for a client (not live yet) using the Mojave template. It splits its coverage into 3 categories; each one with its own 'colour' scheme. Is there are way of, when the user hovers over the relevant menu link in main navigation bar that the 3 that they relate to, can be coloured accordingly but the others are left black? Any help would be very much appreciated.
  14. I need to find out the date a page on my website was created. I've asked SquareSpace but they have said not. I don't believe it's not part of the metadata. Ideally, if you can find the dates a page was modified too, that would be great. Any ideas?
