- Someone was supposed to send me notification when this happened. My DNS A record got deleted and MX record got changed to some mysterious domain "mailgun.org".
- I get a $12 charge identified only as SQSP* that appears to be fraudulent because it has no identifying info.
- The customer contact number you give the credit card bank is a recorded message and hangs up
- So, I initiate a fraud chargeback with my credit card
- EVENTUALLY I find your impossible to navigate web site and realize that the handoff to Squarespace happened and the charge was my domain renewal.
- I call the credit card company and reverse the chargeback
- Hopefully my domain won't get deregistered. I'll be pissed if that happens, but since there's no way to contact a human at Squarespace (hell, I can't even change my email address on your "My Account" page), I assume y'all just don't care.
- You'd probably have a more reasonable chargeback rate if you actually identified your transactions on credit board bills and had some kind of minimal customer support.
