I found that in a different section of the menu, not where it says Action needed to receive payouts with the call to action link, no not there of course, but further down below in a separate section (below where it says 'Manage Settings') it appears that PayPal is an option to receive payments - so I went through the process to connect it - However, the option says " ACCEPT PAYPAL OR VENMO Connected Customers can check out from your store with a PayPal or Venmo account. Then the process to connect prompts me to login to Paypal and asks to verify all of my personal details - so, one would think, that I would be able to receive the payment directly from PayPal, right? Otherwise, why does it need me to log in, why would it need all my personal details? But it also still says " Action needed to receive payouts" with an alert at the top saying Connect a checking account to receive payouts So, can anyone answer, can we get paid through Paypal? Or have I been subjected to more information-stealing? fingers crossed hoping for the best. very annoyed right now. hoping my identity isn't stolen.

Squarespace advertises as being integrated with PayPal, but after signing on with them, investing time and $ to create the site, it says that I am not able to use PayPal to receive payments. And there is no way to know this ahead of time, since it does not allow the site creator to set up any form of payment until an actual sale is made (WHY) - once that happens, then it says PayPal is not an option. Clearly the ability is there to interface with PayPal as it is an option for customer to use in order to pay. So why isn't it an option for the site owners to use it for receiving the payment? They just want all of my information? Bank account and everything? What's next? Let's recap: Ecommerce customer visiting my Squarespace site can pay for goods using PayPal. Squarespace will not allow me to receive the payment using PayPal.

It's clear the FedEx Shipping option is the issue, it is simply not working. Let me remind here, if you enter weights and dims, per the support instructions, it does not work. If you remove it, and add a flat rate shipping option, the checkout works just fine - or, at least it allows the user to continue to enter credit card information. It is false advertising, and denial on the part of the company about it. Typical technology mode of operation.

They say they do not offer refunds, for their products that are only half-baked. The 'missing weights and dimensions' message is showing for only some products - they have the nerve to say it would be a NEW FEATURE to show the message for all products that are actually missing weights and dimensions. Further, it makes no difference for those with weights and dimensions - the checkout still does not work. They completely ignore this. It shouldn't take weeks of back and forth, misdirections/half directions, redirections, arguing about basic functionality that doesn't work, it shouldn't take weeks to get the basic functionality to work. Even if it did work correctly - which it does not - it shouldn't take a tech savvy user weeks to get there. They are completely unhelpful. Something is very wrong here.

Hi, just circling back here, to say that the support team did, eventually, resolve the issue. It was not anything on the user side, but something the support team had to resolve. I'm glad they finally did. However, I still cannot use the site for the intended purpose because now there is an issue with the checkout. I'm running into the same interference with support team - they deny there is an issue, go back and forth with support, sucking up more time and energy, etc etc. A month goes by and I've paid only for the 'pleasure' of putting my $, time and hopes into something that so far has not paid off. I do hope they can turn it around, soon. This is basic functionality for ecommerce so it is shocking these issues.

8/10/24 Still no progress with the support ticket, the ecommerce site remains unusable. Who ever heard of an ecommerce site where you can't use the checkout? Requested a refund for the past month of subscription, for the site that cannot be used, it was requested 4 days ago and no one has addressed it. I've read that SS launched 20 years ago, is that correct? How could this (basic functionality not working) be happening now? Is everyone experiencing this, or just certain user instances? Is this an abandoned site, ghost town, or hoax? Very surprised by the issues, and the poor responses I've been receiving from support. Any recommendations for other solutions?

Squarespace customer service continues to deny any issue - even though the checkout does not work. They continue to say that it is because I have not entered weights and dimensions for the products, however the checkout does not work even for products which are not noted as missing weights and dimensions. This issue alone has required 3 or 4 unpleasant emails, a terrible experience, arguing with their customer service who is ignoring the issue and putting it back on the customer, despite the many screenshots I have provided them. They require the customer to have extraordinary patience, understanding, kindness and happiness about putting hours and hours of wasted time into their site, giving them $ to do so, and for the customer to do the analysis and troubleshooting, to do their job for free. I should be happy and respect them for that. This is their attitude.

IS THIS SITE A SCAM? It's been weeks and due to squarespace issues, I cannot open my ecommerce site. First SSL issues, all through squarespace - which they denied at first. I had to rant to get any real service at all. After ranting they resolved it. Second, checkout page - says there is no shipping for any of my products. Customer service says there's nothing wrong, they took screenshots of the page and didn't even bother to enter an address in order to prompt the shipping options. I am disappointed, and am about ready to look for other options. I'm all for startups and I understand tech debt, however, ignorant and unhelpful customer service is not acceptable. I should not have to rant and air dirty laundry to get what I paid for. I remember civilization.

The site is set to private, due to the SSL issue and the lack of response/progress/ETA from support. (It is an eCommerce site.)

Hello, regarding an eCommerce site, is there any way to limit the # of items per order? (Besides tagging each product and variation with a false inventory level). Thank you.

Hello, it's been 9 days without any progress on the SSL issue for one of my sites, the one that needs to accept payments of course. The site was created through squarespace and then the domain was also created through squarespace and they are connected. Since it is all done through squarespace, all of the DNS records should be created automatically and should be correct - I verified it and it looks correct. I've submitted several tickets and requests for any information, status and/or estimate time to resolution - so far the only reply is "Thank you for your patience." and nothing more. Why was there no error with the second site, created in the same way, that one does not need to accept payments of course. Are we economic hostages? Will this verbiage incur retaliation in the form of censorship and lack of support? New to squarespace, trying to understand what they are about.
