Any plans for Squarespace to allow WEBp images?

This is yet another reason I am so sad that I moved to Squarespace. I can't use modern image formats?!?!? So I get dinged majorly by google because of page shift, but I have extremely limited tools to deal with that. I will be gone from this platform in a few years unless this changes.
