I am having a similar issue but my URL canonical is my 404 page!!! <link rel="canonical" href="https://www.karidamato.com/404"/> Obviously, I do not want that and want to redirect to my actual homepage. I have inserted a redirect: /404 -> / 301 Nothing is working and my homepage cannot be indexed. Please help!
