My site is not live yet but I can send url & password if that is easier?

I'm a real beginner and have just about managed to get my portfolio site together on the Mark Novo template. However I note when you scale my site to full browser width or on mobile view the text indents so it is not the same width as the edge of the images. The top is a header image I have tweaked settings for and the bottom ones are a gallery and you can see when on widescreen the top image doesn't align with the gallery either. Is there a way I can change this? (London Book Fair images). I've seen a competitors site that manages to align everything and wondered how I can do this. I am very new to squarespace and trying to build my portfolio site. I am using 7.1 and the Mark Novo template. Is there a way to remove the bottom navigation (to previous and next projects as in the attached image) and just leaving the forward and back arrows? Many thanks
