  1. Thanks - I talked with GreenGeeks the third party domain company and I since connected the domain to Squarespace by updating the DNS settings it pointed the mail to the Squarespace site. They were able to create an A name record to point the mail back to the GreenGeeks email server. So heads up if you connect a domain manually you may have to check that the mail server is still pointed to the third party domain host. It did take less than an hour to start working.
  2. I am working with a client who owns a domain from Greengeeks. By updating the DNS settings, I was able to successfully connect the domain to their new Squarespace website. So that part is working. When I try to test their email through Greengeeks, I can send emails to anyone, but I can only receive emails from one of the email accounts on their custom domain. So, no external emails have been received. I also followed the Squarespace guides on connecting the domain, and they say I do not need to add any mx records. Does it take up to 72 hours for email to work? I thought since email was handled through GreenGeeks, this was separate from the connection to Squarespace. Any thoughts and help are appreciated.
  3. Perfect thanks.
  4. Sorry let me clarify. They were purchased separately not tied to one website. So they appear in my domains dashboard but when you go into website / domains and email only the primary is listed. The 2nd domain only appears in the domains dashboard. Hope that helps explain my issue. Thanks
  5. Hi all, I seem to be drawing a blank here. I have done this before but cannot seem to find the proper walkthrough on how to add a second domain I already own through Squarespace to one of my Squarespace sites. Here are the details - I have a .ca domain which is already my primary domain for a live website , I have another domain .org that I want to forward to the primary .ca domain. Why can’t I find the simple instructions on how to do this? Maybe I’m tired. lol. Note: both domains are in my domains dashboard and are purchased through Squarespace. thanks
  6. @paul2009 I am also working on transferring a client from IONOS 1&1 to Squarespace + Google Workspace. Should the domain transfer happen first before transferring the email? Any help on the sequence of doing this would be great. Is it easier to transfer the custom domain email through Squarespace, or is it possible to transfer the email directly by signing up for Workspace from Google? Thanks

    Sales tax

I just seen a video from Squarespace about their new Squarespace Payments which will eliminate the need for stripe or another payment processor. My question is… will Squarespace be implementing collection and remittance of taxes for us and acting as a merchant of record? This would be huge if so. There are so many small businesses that sell stuff online and with all the confusing sales taxes around the globe, Squarespace could capitalize on offering this service. I would even be willing to pay another 3% fee. Amazon, YouTube, Thinkific, Skool, teachable, paddle, and more are now doing this. As a small business owner it is not feasible to handle all the different sales taxes rules and changes. It can also be expensive to use Taxjar and other payment providers add ons for this. Please let me know if the New Squarespace Payments will have this or if it is something in the future? thanks
  8. Why could the billing information drop down for country not be edited to only include Canada?
  9. I am looking for help. I would like to sell a membership on my Squarespace site but only want it available to Canadians. It is a very niche membership. I hope this is possible through code or some other means. I am baffled why this seems impossible. Please help
  10. I am, too, still looking for a solution. Anybody?
