  1. Update: After a second frustrating chat with Squarespace support this afternoon I went ahead and deleted all of the footer code in the code injection section. I think that helped. Loading our home page in private, non-cached browser pages took under 2 seconds. That said, I am disappointed that no one on Squarespace's help desk could tell me what https://assets.squarespace.com/universal/scripts-compressed/extract-css-moment-js-vendor-e67ac5a108455ec4edca7-min.en-US.js is. (It still loads after deleting the code injection; it just loads in milliseconds instead of seconds.) I felt a bit of "blaming the victim" in my last chat with the help desk that annoyed me as well as referrals to unhelpful generic help pages. I should have gone ahead and followed your advice @tuanphan from the start. I hope this is indeed the last chapter of the drama.
  2. Actually, we don't seem to be fully out of the woods yet. I just tried the page again and this time https://assets.squarespace.com/universal/scripts-compressed/extract-css-moment-js-vendor-e67ac5a108455ec4edca7-min.en-US.js took 5.4 seconds to load.
  3. @tuanphan The site is democracycollaborative.org. Note that I tried again today to replicate the problem and it did not recur today. The .js script loaded in something like 250 milliseconds on a Chrome incognito page with the "disable cache" option checked on the network inspect tab.
  4. I have been having the exact same problem as @billzilla with assets.squarespace.com/universal/scripts-compressed/extract-css-moment-js-vendor-e67ac5a108455ec4edca7-min.en-US.js. Depending on the day or time, it hangs our nonprofit organization site (democracycollaborative.org) for as long as a minute. I'm attaching a screenshot of the Chrome developer panel I used yesterday to track what was loading on the site and how long it loads. Of course, when people on Squarespace's help desk load the site, it works fine. But a staff member at another location from where I work had the same experience I did yesterday. The only code injection on our site is what appears to be default footer code. I assume deleting that code would affect some important site function. I would appreciate some specific guidance on what this code does and how to either make it not hang the site or delete it altogether. @tuanphan please weigh in.
