I'm posting this message in case there are other Squarespace web designers who use Formsite for 3rd party forms on your website. We have been using Formsite since October 2017 on our Squarespace websites. We have always used the embed code provided by Formsite for each of our forms. We put that code in a mardown, code, or embed element onto a page of our website. In the past, this worked perfectly regardless of which element we used.
In August 2023, we changed the template of our website to the Impact template and we are currently on Squarespace 7.0.
When a user visits our page that has a form, often times the space where the form should appears shows up as completely blank. It doesn't matter if cookies and cache are clear or not. I've tested that issue on numerous browsers Chrome, Firefox, and Edge. Yes, all my browsers are up to date. The only way to get the form to appear is to actually click the refresh button to reload the page.
Therefore, I had to add text on all the pages where we have a form that states: "If the form doesn’t appear below, please refresh your browser." This is kind of embarrassing to publicly acknowledge that I'm aware that something isn't working correctly on our website.
I have already reached out to Formsite and they can't assist because the form is indeed appearing and functioning properly. Squarespace can't help because they don't offer assistance with website content.
Has anyone else who uses Formsite experienced this problem? If so, did you find a solution? If there is anyone else out there with any general advice, whether you use Formsite or not, any assistance would be appreciated.
