I have also been searching for this for years but I have had no luck, I've tried using Zapier and other automaters and as well as third party apps like elfsight, tockify etc. but basically the only solution I have found is embed another service (like google calendar, teamup etc.) in squarespace which obviously doesn't really do what you're looking for

Please PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE add this feature, Squarespace. After years of using Squarespace, not being able to make recurring events has added up to so much wasted time and frustration to the point where I am considering switching platforms just for this functionality. Everything else about Squarespace is so slick and easy to use, but honestly no matter how cool the events/calendar feature looks, it's not functional if you can't make recurring events! Another option would be to allow integration with other 3rd party calendars apps, anything that can produce a .ics file for import to squarespace via something like Zapier or power automate. But I've had no luck getting that to create events either (if someone has found a way to make this happen please share!)
