Thanks for the fast answer. I connected the domain a little more than 24 hours ago. I don’t recall that it took so long the last time but it’s been a few years. What I don’t understand is that the domain shows as „connected“ in Squarespace and it still shows the old Shopify website at least on all my browsers. The fact that you cannot open either one is somewhat worrisome. Is it a matter of time or do I have to manually modify the DNS settings in Squarespace as well?

Hi, I have designed a new website and will be moving away from my current Shopify Website. I have two domain names www.andredistel.com and www.andredistelphotography.com. The first is currently hosted with GoDaddy and the latter with Shopify. I have initiated the request to transfer the Shopify hosted domain to Squarespace and keep the other one at GoDaddy for the time being. In the domain section of my Squarespace admin it shows andredistel.com as "connected". I followed the guide and used nameservers as it seemed to be the recommended and easiest solution. In my Shopify account it shows the same domain as "not connected". So far so good. However, when I enter the domain name in my browser (any browser also cleared cache, etc.) my old website comes up (dark background). It should look like this one though: https://andredistel.squarespace.com Is there anything that I missed in the process? Do have to make further changes in Squarespace or at Godaddy in regards to the domain settings? I am bit lost as I am not an expert in domains or hosting. Or do I have to be more patient and just sit tight and and wait? Any help is much appreciated. Thank you, André
