  1. Hi, I'd like to know the Squarespace roadmap for future products and version releases. It appears the only forum information posted are changes to the released products. Thank you!
  2. Google search help documentation regarding rel="canonical"indicates it would be more correct to consolidate multiple URLs to the same source URL. Google suggests a few ways to handle this, although I would like to see others' experience implementing any of the suggested methods on Squarespace. I searched for it and found this post without any response in 2021. However, I find it wholly current and relevant to my request for examples of implementing rel="canonical" on Squarespace websites. I would like to know if anyone has been successful with a tag for /home?noredirect=true to /. This reports in GA4 and shows up in redirects under GSC indexing errors, as do blog pages, tags, categories, and portfolio pages. See Google's documentation on rel="canonical". https://developers.google.com/search/docs/crawling-indexing/consolidate-duplicate-urls
  3. In the video, he tracks the class="form-submission-text" that is stable in the post-submit pop-up. He's not using anything custom here. He's just monitoring the element visibility and reporting on it.
  4. Paul, how do you do that in Testimonial content? I'm not seeing that bar like you get in a typical text block. Instead, it's a minimalist bar with no color options.
  5. We would greatly appreciate a simple and easy to implement dropdown menu on the portfolio pages. Now I understand you could create a folder and hard code all your full URLs in that folder to sort of get there, but why would that be a good thing? It could easily lead to broken links down the road and definitely is so much more of an administrative nightmare to manage throughout the lifecycle of your website. Portfolio pages are powerful and easy to set up, love them. But with today's customers they lack the attention to click around and follow links. We all know the less clicks to get to the point the better opportunity for a sale. Getting to my point, simply adding the dropdown menu on/off feature to the Portfolio Settings cog should do the trick. The code for this should already be present.
  6. We would appreciate greatly if the Bio.sites had a built-in way to have a phone number automatically set as an active call button. This is currently available on Squarespace web hosting platform but not on the Bio.sites.
  7. Hey I noticed sometimes the http header time will be off when running an SEO site check. Now, I understand Squarespace has a definitive take on third party site checking and will quote some verbiage indicating Squarespace is special and somehow immune to these things. However, I do think it is possible to add some time synchronization coding to round up all the servers so they all report the same time, shorten the Cache-Control / max-age, or check for a bad system board battery in the server farm. Probably this issue started after a recent hosting outage I experienced a few weeks ago. Probably a server was recovered or standby went operational and one or the other needs a quick check up. At any rate, while a time sync issue has many other impacts my particular concern at the moment of writing this is its impact to search engine optimization. It's popping a high importance alert when the issue occurs. It seems to be randomly occurring and that's why I suspect one node somewhere in the system is misconfigured or failing.
  8. I'd like to ad my concern about the lack of ability to assign alt text to images all over Squarespace 7.1. We are unable to add alt text to images to a featured blog post image, inside a gallery, or page section backgrounds. Not giving us the option to ad alt text to these specific images is strange or an oversight and I am unable to conclude an good reasoning why we should be limited in this way. If an image needs an "null" assignment we should have the ability to make that choice. Loading jquery to make the change is an overly complicated and resource intensive way to make such a simple change; and, will ultimately negatively impact the loading speed of the page or search engine ranking of the site.

  10. Anyone have a 2023 update on this request for a drop down menu option for portfolio pages already in the nav bar with published slug? If not, please recommend a coarse of action to properly migrate to a folder drop down without impacting SEO.
