Right hand padding not applied in text block

Hi, I'm adding padding to my block via custom CSS; but padding-right does not seem to get applied. Am I doing something wrong here, and if, what can I do to fix it? #block-yui_3_17_2_1_1689187469267_1694{ padding: 10% } Many thanks in advance, Philipp
