Can't redeem gift cards on my site / gift card code form not appearing at check out

Hello! I am testing out gift cards on my site. I purchased one and sent it to myself. I received a link that said to redeem the gift card, click on the link to my site. I then tried to purchase something and in the check out window there was no form to enter the gift card code. Is anyone able to help me with this?
