How can I limit inventory of digital products?

I wish I had noticed this before choosing Squarespace. I JUST redid my entire website about 2 months ago and decided to come here. This feature is enough to make me rebuild it all over again on another platform. -
Paywall or pay-per-view video/ webinar content
ExclusiveImage replied to Alexg77's topic in Commerce
I have finally reached tech support from Squarespace and have an answer. Here's their suggested organization: 1. Create a new Video Page for each video. Set the paywall to "Video player only". 2. Create a new web page (any style) and add a "Summary" block. Check the boxes next to each video page you want shown in the summary list and setup your styling. This will create a central place where users can browse all of the available videos and purchase whichever ones they are interested in. To add a package with several videos (which you already uploaded and posted) do this: 1. Create a new Video Page for the package or collection. 2. When you click on the "add video" link, choose "From library" and choose the various videos you've already uploaded. I hope this helps! It feels a little clunky to me but it's doable and works for my purpose. -

Same question. Would be lovely if @admin would respond. -

I previously had my website on Wordpress and it was divided into subdomains for a couple of niche markets. However, I've built my site on squarespace as one site containing all niches. How can I redirect subdomain traffic to my main site on siteground? I've tried URL mapping but it's not working and I believe it's due to the subdomain. I tried it with and without the full web address before the "/"

While you're at it, it would be great to edit the metadata of all product images at once too. ❤️ -

I'm building my new website and am having a lot of trouble making large header images work well on both desktop and mobile. If I shape/crop it correctly for desktop, it looks terrible on mobile. I could set the header to work for mobile (small header height instead of large) which technically does also work for desktop but, as a photographer, large, powerful images are super important. So I need the largest possible image I can get. I could also center the subject in the image so that it shows on the mobile crop. But centered subject is terrible composition. Is there any way around this?

Hi there! I'm rebuilding my photography website and keep wavering back and forth on the best way to organize it. I currently have a main website and 2 subdomains. This is costly and nearly impossible to rank well. It's just me here doing everything and I only have so much time for SEO optimization and such. I originally separated them for a couple of reasons. I thought adding one of the specialties in the subdomain (foodphotography) would help with SEO. I honestly haven't given it enough time to prove itself or not (less than a year), but I'm quite tired of Wordpress and ready to move away from it. One of my specialties is boudoir photography which I felt needed to remain separate from the main site where we have a lot of tweens & teens passing through. So here's what I think I've narrowed it down to: Specialties: Dance photography (fashion-styled portraits and performance images) Services: portrait photoshoots, performance coverage, studio mini sessions for dancer headshots, etc Products: gift certificate Portraits (all kinds) Services: 5 different collection options, promotional limited edition collections (Mother's Day, high school senior portraits, Autumn family photos) Products: gift certificate Food photography (food blogger content, recipe recreations, recipe development, & eventually restaurant photography) Services: recipe recreations, recipe development & photography Products: exclusive recipes, semi-exclusive recipes (both are food blogger content) Boudoir will move to a back burner, since we don't have nearly as much business in this category. I'll either leave it off the main site altogether or highlight it somewhere on the site in a PG way, indicating that if someone is interested, we can share more info and a full portfolio behind the scenes. We also happen to offer photography classes. haha I wondered if this type of thing, as well as some other side topics, should all be posted in the blog only rather than having a web page for them. I know the importance of keeping the site as simple as possible. I've been researching website organization for a while now and have found a handful of helpful answers. I'm just having decision paralysis here. Thank you for any assistance you're able to offer!
