  1. I got it to stay to the edge in mobile view!! πŸ˜„ SOLUTION: It was just Squarespace's strange behavior in editor. Before when I went into mobile to drag the image to the edge it wouldn't do it and showed the "NO" circle with line through symbol. But... if you drag the image the opposite way making it smaller, then while still holding the mouse down try to drag it to the edge it will let you! Kinda stupid but there is the solution for anyone stuck like me.
  2. I feel like this is close to what I need but it's not working. I know this answer is 2 years old so maybe I need some different code for 7.1 Squarespace site? The image stretches to the edge on desktop, but on mobile it follows the 5mm padding for some reason. Anybody got any ideas to override the padding, or any other work arounds to get the image to go all the way to the screen edge on mobile? Any ideas much appreciated! (Also sorry can't share site as client is super private) It's just a normal image block on a freestyle page section. Also thank you @tuanphan for the chrome extension recommendation! It's so much easier using this! πŸ˜„ https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/squarespace-id-finder/igjamfnifnkmecjidfbdipieoaeghcff/related?hl=en
  3. Thanks for the help Tuanphan! πŸ™‚ It seemed like the templates had very limiting options in terms of what you can do to them. Which seems like a shame because Squarespace always going on about how carefully they are hand crafted ...but then can't even page anchor so basically unusable in a lot of situations haha. I opted to just rebuild the template sections from scratch by inserting blank page which would let me add code blocks. ALSO! Everything was bugging out and things would be fine in editor mode then everything would rearrange once view regularly. It turned out it was the "div" code messing everything up (text tries to align with it etc.) So I recommend anyone who wants anchor to just use the <p id="whatever-you-want-to-name-your-anchor"> </p>
  4. Xin chΓ o Tuaphan! My Squarespace hero! I'm so sorry my client is super private and I can't share anything (;TT-TT) I saw from your other posts that you can specify only the nav folder to be affected by code using .header-nav-folder .header-nav-folder-content etc. I thought there might be some code I could use to specify the main nav items only so the code doesn't affect the folder nav items too. If it doesn't exist, I can create a trial account and rebuild the main components and share that but it will take a little time to build it up for you. Just let me know. It will be worth it to be able to learn how to code the function correctly! πŸ™‚
  5. This has helped me and I'm so close to the result I want! Thank you creedon and tuanphan! Is there any way to make it so the .header-nav-item:nth-child( 3 ) { display : none; } only hides the nav bar links but NOT links inside folder(drop down/burger menu)? Maybe like "hide when folder in closed state" "when folder in open state DON'T hide" kinda logic? I'm just new to coding f(;;^-^) (I'm using Ryan's code for making link folder burger menu) https://ryandejaegher.com/how-to-add-a-desktop-burger-to-squarespace-7.1/ My goal is simply: Desktop: Links 1, 2, on desktop page header + burger folder containing ALL links 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. Then mobile: links 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 in default squarspace burger (and I hide the custom burger folder for desktop)
  6. Hey Yall, Most likely an easy YES or NO answer, I am building a single page website with navigation links at the top that take you to a certain section of the page. I've seen you can anchor to page sections by adding a code block with: <div ID="anchor"> </div> or from the Squarespace Help official video: <p id="anchor"> Some text you want displayed</p> but I can't find anyway to add a code block to the template sections I have. It seems like such a basic and common (used on over 50% of existing websites) feature for Squarespace to not have it available? Like it would seem crazy and wasteful for Squarespace to run their business like "Build a beautiful website with our carefully crafted beautiful templates... that can't have basic functions like navigation links to them." But the worlds a crazy place so just checking, am I crazy for thinking that there should be some way to create anchors to template sections or is this just normal Squarespace site builder protocol and the templates aren't really meant to be used that much? I thought since there seemed to be only an option to add it to pages with blocks that there would be a button that would convert the template to a block version without having to start from a blank page and add back in all the image and text layouts. Is this a thing or no? Thanks for any answers. Sorry for my probably obvious questions for anyone with more than 3 weeks experience using Squarespace (;^-^)/ Jasper
