For anyone that is adding alt text to images and find that sometimes they aren't saving, I have some workarounds for you. Normally alt text will save automatically. These are solutions for when that doesn't happen. Be careful where you click. This will probably solve most of your issues. After adding your alt text, do not click on a paragraph. The image editor will close without saving your progress. Click somewhere that doesn't have an element. For example, the white space to the left or right of your web page (if there is any). Don't scroll too far. Scrolling while in the image editor may cause the image editor to close automatically without saving any progress. You can scroll, just not too far. Rule of thumb: make sure you can see the image you're editing. Sometimes it's just not working. Go into your image editor and add your alt text. If the SAVE button on your page editor (top left of page) is highlighted while you're in the image editor, click the SAVE button and that will save the alt text. If all else fails. If the SAVE button isn't highlighted while you're in the image editor, and clicking in the right spot doesn't work, make an edit on your page. Somewhere, like a paragraph. You can add a space at the end of a paragraph. The SAVE button will highlight. Once it's highlighted, go into your image editor and add the alt text, then click SAVE before leaving the image editor.
