I was having the same issue on Safari. Here's how I solved it: I opened Chrome browser (Not my default browser). I logged into my website, clicked edit, and I was able to see the options when I clicked on the "edit footer" section. Once I selected the section, I made sure to save the page. Then, went back to Safari, refreshed the page, and voila! It was back to normal. I hope this helps!
