Meanwhile I discovered Lightbox and where to activate it, thank you! Is it possible to have a caption underneath the image only when its in Lightbox?

I have what seems like a simple request: I'd like to create a gallery page where you can click on each image and have it open as a separate image for a closer look. I've tried using image blocks, a gallery page template, and a gallery block within a regular page, and don't seem to figure it out. Can someone enlighten me please? Thanks in advance!!
