Is it possible to have the background area right by the homepage's header be an automatic slideshow instead of an image/video?

Hello everyone~ My portfolio uses a slideshow for the gallery, and they look very different on mobile vs. desktop. Is there a way to keep the mobile version as is and not have the desktop version cropped like this (Screenshots attached below) ? When I edit the desktop version so the whole image is visible, the mobile version is squished. Thank you so much for your help, Lorik
