One year later...nothing has changed. My client, the admin for a church website, has many recurring events weekly and monthly and is manually duplicating each one. She is beyond frustrated and today sent me links for solutions. Like incorporating google calendar. First time I've encountered this problem. It's one thing to update an annual event but duplicating 20 to 30 events each month one-at-a time clearly does not work.

This is an interesting subject choice because it isn't possible to practice Mobile First Design on Squarespace yet - at least not without a lot of code or a no-code pay-monthly add-on. The Squarespace platform doesn't allow you enough control over mobile layouts at present as it decides the mobile layout for itself.
I'm really looking forward to the day when the editor is updated so that we can build mobile sites more easily on the platform. Something to look forward to in 2022. 🤞

Adding this in Design > Custom CSS worked for me. It's one of the old ways to do it in one of the types of 7.0 templates:
