There's no option for S M L on the header bar? The only way of adjusting is by resizing the logo?

Why is the grid so far under the site header making such a big space? I don't want all that space. I'm not a coder and got used to being able to adjust padding etc in 7.0 Would be really grateful for some help as I don't want to feel like Squarespace doesn't work for me any more!
