  1. From my experience you need to recreate the lists and export/import the CSVs, then resubscribe.. this seems like it should be a simple thing for Squarespace to offer as it's not a design/layout short like the pages are.
  2. Yes it's a real shame you cannot move pages between portfolios like you could with images within galleries on V7. If the portfolios behaved like folders in the admin you could duplicate them outside the folders and move them into the appropriate place. One workaround may be via the google chrome extension that allows you to copy/paste content, you could copy off the site and then paste back in. Or use the new 'Saved Sections' tool (coming soon for wide release) which I am trying out right now and while may not copy the full page it's a great feature. Reusable sections Coming soon Choose a section from one page and reuse it on other pages of your site.
  3. I am running a workshop in Somerset (West Country UK) on 15th August. The session is aimed at designers, makers and small business owners local to Clayhill Arts (the venue).

I am based in London but often travel around the UK for shoots and Squarespace work in rural areas, often those living more remote cannot easily access the quality f training we are used to in cities so it's really satisfying.

Please do share if you know anyone who would appreciate this.

  4. As Squarespace adds new features each year the 'Marketing' sections seems to be getting closer to offering full CRM (Customer Relationship Management) features. I've been using a mix of Quickbooks and Gmail alongside Email Campaigns to keep in touch and monitor my clients but find it frustrating! I offer Photography and Squarespace design services plus educational work across workshops/webinars and 1-2-2 tutorials. I really want a simple, easy to use, minimal CRM that offers stats and data visualisation, especially on the sectors my clients work in. For example, I shoot product/lifestyle for mostly designer/makers. I know my main 2 product types are ceramics and textiles, but the only way to be sure of the exact numbers is to export a spreadsheet from Quickbooks and add the data myself.. Quickbooks does not offer the option for adding extra contact information like 'sector' or 'type' of client. In Squarespace, I see it's possible to add a 'tag' to a customer in Profiles, but there is no option to see charts/visualisations for customers.. Analytics has data for sales, emails and so on.. Trying Hubspot but find it has way to many options and I get lost in settings.. most CRMs seem very complicated.. I'm actually thinking a google spreadsheet that synced to Quickbooks would be better as you can export / create data from that. Thoughts? Is anyone having success with a CRM that syncs with Quickbooks? I mainly use Quickbooks because it syncs with HMRC in UK for submitting VAT returns. Sprout Studio is an interesting one but only for US and Canada at the moment.
  5. Hi everyone - great idea for a topic! I started my product photography business in 2012 and built up to running my own studio in London since 2015. I specialise in product and lifestyle photography for the design and craft industry. I work with my partner Natasha and a regular stylist to create concepts, source props and plan to lighting/style of each shoot. We cover everything from ceramics, glass and textiles to furniture, beauty/wellness and fashion accessories. In the first year of my work I found many clients wanted websites, I asked a friend in the US and he recommended Squarespace - never looked back! It's been so beneficial being able to handle stills, video, animation and create the sites, we can pretty offer full service agency type work for a fraction of the cost. I often shoot and create the site for the same client, a great example is the ceramicist Sue Pryke: https://www.suepryke.com/ who was my first client, we have updated the site design/template several times. I also work as a trainer and educator, both for photography and Squarespace. Recently this has been through Zoom and other web platforms which is fine for us, although I do miss going to shows and events here. My photography work is all on www.yeshen.uk FYI: On Monday June 22, I will be hosting a Circle AMA on Getting the most out of your images on Squarespace in the Circle Forum. Look out for the post, I think it's going live tomorrow (Mon 15) so you can ask me your questions for a week and then I will post answers on Mon 22 - should be fun!
  6. From what I have experienced, if you are editing a page in admin area and don't click 'save changes' it won't be live on the site. What would be very useful is a 'save draft' function, so that you 'save changes' when 100% happy rather than risk loosing work incrementally.
