But the custom test should move up, along with the rest of the banner, as you scroll down the page. To be clear, I want the text on the center of the home page banner, not the page itself. Side Note: Do folks here not see the website when it's added in the "link" field in the original post? Is it better if people add the link in the post description? I only ask because I added my link via the link field in several of my posts (this one included), only for someone to ask me for the URL again before they offer assistance. Given the long turnaround time for someone to answer, it's a bit frustrating that this oversight could add another week before the problem gets addressed. Hope I don't come across as ungrateful. The code you provided keeps the pink text fixated in the middle of the screen until the banner is off-screen. I need the pink text in the middle of the banner, not the page. So the pink text should move up as I scroll down the page. (refer to the image below. I scrolled down to the middle of my home page. Ideally, the pink text should be where the white text is). I'm looking for behavior similar to the Hensen template in 7.0 The home page can display default response text (it's not a static image) However, when you hover over the links, it displays the second image (the text disappears). I want to do that for my page. Additionally, I like some code highlighting (not just underlining) the link I'm hovering over.

Hey folks. Is there a way I can add custom text to a home page portfolio banner? I'm currently rebuilding my portfolio site in 7.1. This is my current home page. I want to add some custom text on the center of the page to introduce myself, but I haven't figured out how. Anyone have any ideas?

So to follow up on this topic. Searching through the Header and Footer shows 6 instances of <script src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/2.2.0/jquery.min.js"></script> I deleted all of them and noticed no change other than the horizontal scroll bar disappearing again. I re-added one of the instances, and the scroll bar came back. No change in behavior with the mobile menu (my original request.). This plugin did not work for me: https://www.ghostplugins.com/products/forced-mobile-menu-in-squarespace-71 I think maybe some previous code could be preventing this from working correctly. Do you have any recommendations for the code I should look for relating to the Hamburger Menu?

Hey sorry, it was a bit of delay here. But wanted to follow up Just reviewing my site again. Removing both of the google API instances removes the scroll bar at the top (which tells you how far down the page you are) I just kept one and the scroll bar remained. For context, I bought a few plugins from Square Studio some time ago, the scroll bar was one of them. I believe the older plugins are using those libraries. So I'm hesitant to randomly remove things as I'm sure it'll break the other plugs I'm using. Do you have any other suggestions here? Not sure what else I can do to address my original problem

Apologies for the delay in response...work got the better of me. I'll purchase this code, play around with it and report back. In the meantime, how would you suggest i correct the issue of the different javascript libraries I'm using? Should i just delete the whole thing entirely? I have little web development experience, so it's a bit difficult for me to troubleshoot
